Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, May 1, 2022, immigrants, organizations, unions and allies gathered for the Voces de la Frontera (VDLF) annual May Day march and rally for comprehensive immigration reform at the 700 block of W. Historic Mitchell Street.

Primitivo Torres, the lead march director for the last 16-years confirmed to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) that VDLF has logged on file at least 4K march and rally attendees on Sunday.

This year, it will be a 2-day march with rallies, on Sunday, May 1st in Milwaukee and on Monday, May 2nd in Madison, Wisconsin.

Also, this year will mark at least 16 years of struggling to succeed for an immigration reform bill to be approved by Congress.

In Wisconsin, at least $90M of combined taxes have been paid to the state by undocumented essential workers per year.

The march in Milwaukee began around 11:00a.m. and proceeded to the federal courthouse in downtown Milwaukee where U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R) has an office, which is closed on Sunday. Johnson has been opposed to approving a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

President Joe Biden (D), his administration including the Democrats in Congress have failed to deliver on their promise to introduce and approve a comprehensive immigration reform bill, if they were ejected.
