March 30, 2015

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, State Representative Josh Zepnick, 47, (D-Milw.) confirmed that he will seek the 8th Aldermanic seat and is confident that he will become the next Milwaukee Common Council member to represent a portion of the Southside of Milwaukee.
Zepnick was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2002 and has been reelected every two years, since then.
Last July 2014, Robert "Bob" Donovan, 56, the current Alderman for the 8th District announced that he was a candidate for Milwaukee Mayor. He submitted his declaration of candidacy paper work to the Milwaukee Election Commission. Ald. Donovan will challenge Mayor Tom Barrett in the 2016 Spring election.
Ald. Donovan was first elected to the 8th Aldermanic District in 2000.
In August, another would-be candidate for the 8th Aldermanic District was Jessica Cavazos who had announced that she was running for Donovan's seat, but last Thursday she decided to pull out of the race and is no longer a potential candidate. Cavazos cited that a new business venture has made it nearly impossible for her to commit the time needed to launch a successful campaign for 2016.
Cavazos became the UMOS Hispanic Woman of the Year in 2012 and formerly worked for U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-Milw.). She is the founder of the LULAC Ladies Empowerment Group Council #330, which is a leading community volunteer organization for women in Milwaukee, advocating for women's rights and uplifting women to lead.

No Indictments Yet Against 12 U.S. Border Agents For Anastacio Hernández Rojas Cold Blooded Murder

The U.S. Department of Justice has neglected to file indictments after years of the Anastasio Hernández Rojas homicide in the hands of 8 U.S. Border Patrol including Customs and Border Protection agents and 4 supervisors who watched and encouraged the deadly abuse at the San Isidro Port-of-entry crossing in 2010.

March 30, 2015

San Diego, California - The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) began a probe into the 2010 murder of undocumented immigrant Anastasio Hernández Rojas, 42, but has not filed any federal indictments against eight border patrol and customs border protection agents and four supervisors. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) including the DOJ and the Obama administration have attempted to cover-up the Hernández Rojas brutal murder at the San Ysidro Port-of-entry in California U.S. Border and Tijuana by not publicly addressing the inhumane treatment and murder of Hernández Rojas in the hands of a rogue group of border agents who conspired to cover-up the murder.
The Anastacio Hernández Rojas family continues to wait for justice for the brutal and cold blooded homicide of Rojas on May 28, 2010 in the hands of eight border agents while four supervisors watched. Judge M. James Lorenz of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California on September 29, 2014 determined that the U.S. Border Patrol agents identified as Phillip Krasielwicz, Gabriel Ducoing and Derrick Llewellyn; Immigration Enforcement Agents Harinzo Naraisnesingh and Andre Piligrino; Customs and Border Protection Officers Kurt Sauer and agent Allen Boutwell; Border Patrol Supervisors Ishmael Finn, Guillermo E. Avila and Edward C. Caliri, and Custom and Border Protection Supervisor Ramon De Jesús were responsible or contributed to Hernández Rojas homicide in 2010.
The border agents argued that Hernández Rojas was a threat to the agents and they had to use force to control his combative and aggressive behavior while they were trying to deport him. The border patrol supervisors claimed that Hernández Rojas was aggressive and they allowed the agents to use force to control Hernández Rojas, an undocumented immigrant.
Several cellphone videos surfaced that showed Hernández Rojas screaming for help and that the agents were killing him. The videos survived from getting confiscated by De Jesús and another agent. Multiple people gathered at the San Ysidro Port-of-entry when Hernández Rojas was being beaten and tased while screaming for help. They took photos and videos of the 30 minute incident that ended with Hernández Rojas homicide. Their cellphones were confiscated by De Jesús and he deleted the photos and videos to cover-up the criminal act by the border agents involved in the beating murder of Hernández Rojas.
The videos that survived the censorship by De Jesús contradicted the agents and supervisors claims that Hernández Rojas was a threat to the agents. Judge Lorenz in a summary ruling disagreed with the agents and determined that about 20 to 30 agents including supervisors were present when the eight agents used batons to beat him, punched and kicked him. Vales even tased Hernández Rojas five times when he was on the ground with his hands handcuffed behind his back and after his legs were ziptied and hog-tied to his hands.
Hernández Rojas autopsy revealed that he had five broken ribs, had suffered from a lack of oxygen to his brain for 8 minutes causing brain dead as a result of a heart attack from the beating and taser, he had abrasions/contusions to the his face, arms and legs including a large hematoma. His death was ruled a homicide by the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office.
Judge Lorenz wrote that the agents were never in danger, since there were more than 20 agents at the scene and none would have been in danger except Hernández Rojas himself who was handcuffed, hog-tied and was eventually killed by the agents involved.
The supervisors watching Hernández Rojas beating could have intervene to stop the brutal abuse of Hernández Rojas, but they stood there and encouraged it, Judge Lorenz found.
A complaint filed by the Hernández Rojas family states, while processing Hernández Rojas, Ducoing slapped and kicked Hernández Rojas in the ankles causing injuries. Hernández Rojas complained to Krasielwics and Supervisor Finn about Ducoing's abuse when he was brought to the processing center. Krasielwics in an affidavit confirmed that the victim had told Finn about Ducoing's abuse.
Hernández Rojas had asked Ducoing and Finn for medical attention and wanted to see an immigration judge. Finn refused and ordered both Krasielwics and Ducoing to immediately deport Hernández Rojas without due process or receiving any medical attention.
When they drove Hernández Rojas to the border crossing, Hernández Rojas began to complain that his leg hurt and was in pain. Once they took the handcuffs off, the border agents threw him to the ground and began to struggle with him. Then both Naraisnesingh and Piligrino came over and began to beat Hernández Rojas with batons. Llewellyn, Boutwell and Sauer arrived at the scene and began to punch and kick Hernández Rojas while he was on the ground.
Vales came to the scene too and tased Hernández Rojas at least five times after he was handcuffed and face down and continued after his legs were ziptied and hog-tied to his hands.
They later dragged him to another area so people who had gathered to take photos and videos couldn't record the brutal beating that went on for almost a half hour. The agents beat Hernández Rojas because he would not stop from crying out for help, according to the witnesses and video that survived from being illegally deleted by De Jesús to conceal and cover-up the agents criminal acts.
The DOJ began a grand jury inquiry into the Hernández Rojas murder, but no indictments have been filed for almost five years. The DHS tried to cover-up the homicide until the videos turned up to contradict the agents declarations of what had happened, which proved that the agents and supervisors had lied and attempted to cover-up the Hernández Rojas murder. The Obama administration, including President Barack H. Obama has been silent and seemed to have attempted to also cover-up the murder as well simply because Hernández Rojas was undocumented.
None of the agents involved in the Hernández Rojas brutal murder have been charged for felony murder, fired and the supervisors involved remain on the job without any accountability for violating the Constitional rights of Hernández Rojas, indicating a conspiracy,  cover-up and corruption among the DOJ, DHS and Obama himself.
The Hernández Rojas murder case at the San Ysidro border crossing showed that a group of rogue agents and supervisors had killed an undocumented immigrant at the U.S. border. They also had attempted to cover-up their criminal acts and unlawfully seized cellphones from witnesses to delete criminal and damaging evidence.
The case of the Estate of Anastasio Hernández Rojas, by its personal representative Daisy Hernández and siblings, et v. United States of America has yet to reach a settlement. If no settlement is reached, the case will go to trial this year to seek monetary compensation for damages resulting in the murder of Hernández Rojas by the border agents involved and supervisors named in the complaint.
Hernández Rojas is survived by his wife and five children.

Fired MPD Officer Christopher Manney Won't Get Job back, Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission Ruled

Dontre Hamilton and Christopher Manney

Former Milwaukee Police Officer Manney lost an appeal to get his job back after getting fired for violating the pat down and use of force protocol.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 23, 2015

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission (MFPC) ruled that former Police Officer Christopher Manney had violated both the patting down and use of force protocol in the shooting death of Dontre Hamilton, 31, on April 30, 2014 at Arrow Park in downtown Milwaukee. After a five day appeal process, the MFPC sustained Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn's decision to fire Manney as a result of violating and failing to follow a pat down protocol ending with the use of deadly force that ended Hamilton's life.
The second phase of Manney’s appeal determined that his termination was justified.
Hamilton, who suffered from a mental disability was sleeping at Arrow Park and was awaken by Manney who patted down Hamilton and an altercation between the two ignited. Manney shot and killed Hamilton after he took Manney's wooden baton and struck Manney, in return Manney fired up to 14 rounds at Dontre.
Alderman Bob Donovan from the 8th Aldermanic District and who is a candidate for Milwaukee Mayor stated, "I stand by my earlier statements regarding Officer Manney's firing: it was ill-conceived, unwarranted and politically motivated, with Mr. Manney becoming a scapegoat in Milwaukee's racially-charged political environment...The Chief continues to play politics and be the Mayor's puppet from behind his office desk while handcuffing our officers on the streets from doing their jobs safely and effectively...The result of all of this is that our officers will now be more hesitant to investigate calls, there will be more calls for backup by officers for fear of being "Manney'd" should they make the wrong call in the Chief's eyes. This will lead to an increase in crime, at a time when Milwaukee is experiencing a skyrocketing murder rate...Officer Manney continues to have mine (support)."

All the suspects are related and were driving a camper with Idaho license plates. They were parked at the Wal-Mart parking lot for several days.
The family is known as a traveling Christian Band called the Matthew 24 Now or the Busking in the Son.
One Wal-Mart employee was reported with a sprained arm. The ADPS has taken over the investigation.
The Gaver family from Boise, Idaho is facing multiple charges and are expected in court on March 31. Bail for Jeremiah was set at $75K, for Peter at $25K, and for Nathaniel at $75K.

Three Racist Ft. Lauderdale Cops Fired Another Resigns Over Obama Mocked Video

Two White and two Hispanic Ft. Lauderdale cops engaged in racists texts and one even created a short video depicting President Obama as a KKK character with gold teeth.

March 22, 2015

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - On Friday, John P. "Jack" Seiler, the Ft. Lauderdale Mayor announced that three Ft. Lauderdale Police Officers, James Wells, 30, Jason Holding, 31, and Christopher Sousa, 25, had been fired after a five month investigation and Alex Alvarez, 22, had resigned in January before an internal investigation began to avoid getting fired for racist text messages and a leaked video. Cellphone text messages between the officers included making sexists and inappropriate remarks against Hispanics and gays.  Alvarez even made a racist Obama short mock KKK video. The Federal Bureau of Investigation  (FBI) began an investigation into the officers discriminatory behavior towards other Afro-American officers and remarks in texts messages that they should get drunk and go "kill niggers." The officers were assigned to a predominately Afro-American neighborhood.
Alvarez created a short mock video depicting President Obama with gold teeth in KKK garb and a dog attacking a Black man. The officers referred to a late shift of officers as "lazy fuckers" who are mostly Afro-Americans.
Ft. Lauderdale Police Chief Frank Adderley who is Afro-American during a press conference about the final investigation results and the termination of three officers said, the officers did not engage in criminal conduct, but their behavior "was inexcusable" and the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department has "zero tolerance" for such behavior. Chief Adderley stated, The officers were terminated due to sustained department misconduct charges -- conduct "unbecoming a police officer" and "engaging in conduct prejudicial to the good order of the department."

Texts by officers:

Sousa: "Holdings we are coming over and drinking all your beer and killing niggers."

Holding: "Id that noose ready."

Alvarez: "Jimmy what would big daddy do to that nigger. Get that nigger out from under the wagon."

Wells: "And that nigger lover in the wagon."

Holding: "I had a wet dream that you two found those two niggers in the VW and gave them the death penalty right there on the spot."

Some of the text messages were screen shot copied by Alvarez's ex-girlfriend who on October 2014 sent copies to Police Chief Adderley. The texts messages were made between mid-September to mid-October. Chief Adderley immediately launched an internal investigation into the racist behavior by the officers.

ABYSS Towing Making $6K Per Day For Towed Vehicles From S. Chávez Drive Parking Lot

Hispanics become the victims of excessive towing costs for parking at a private parking lot at 1247 S. César E. Chávez Drive.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 20, 2015

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Hundreds of Latinos in a weekly basis are subject to excessive towing costs for parking at a private lot located at 1247 S. César E. Chávez Drive. The private towing company is ABYSS Towing, which has a look out spotter parked on the street from Monday to Saturday and keeps an eye on who parks in the lot and goes somewhere else to shop. Once the spotter can confirm the victim is not doing business with the businesses that allow parking for their customers, then a tow truck is alerted and it comes to tow the vehicle within minutes.
Sometimes a flatbed tow truck is used, in that case, they tow one vehicle at a time and then park it a couple of blocks away. Once three vehicles are secured for towing, they are all towed at the same time.
If a victim can catch the tow truck driver at the scene and doesn't want the vehicle towed, the victim has to pay $200 cash, no receipt is given by the tow truck driver (a bribe?). If the tow truck gets to take the vehicle to a private tow lot, the victim will most likely have to pay between $150, $180, $250 and the latest is up to $350, not including storage costs.
On Friday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) video recorded a towing. HNNUSA broke the story back in December.
ABYSS Towing has to contact the City of Milwaukee Parking Enforcement (CMPE) to report that the vehicle is being towed and before they remove it from the parking lot, the CMPE has to confirm it is not stolen.
HNNUSA attempted to speak to the tow truck driver to see how much it would cost to get a car released from their private holding lot for towed vehicles. The driver wouldn't respond or say anything.
Victims who call the CMPE to locate their vehicles are than told, which private towing contractor has taken it.
When victims go to the ABYSS Towing lot, they are lucky if they do get a receipt for cash payment to release their vehicle, according to some of the victims. Another victim had taken video and photos of the ABYSS Towing when she picked up her vehicle, but the management took her cell phone and deleted the video and photos. The victim did not reported the incident to police, according to another victim as well.
ABYSS Towing began its operation around December and is making thousands of dollar per week. In a regular day of towing, ABYSS Towing can clear more than $6,000 for towing at least 20 vehicles at $300 to $350 each. Some are calling the Chávez Drive parking lot a gold mine and others call it a scam, especially if victims are not provided receipts after paying cash for the excessive towing penalty.
Not one business in that same 1200 block of S. Chávez Drive makes more than $6K per day, except ABYSS Towing.
The private parking lot at 1247 S. Chávez Drive has posted signs at the entrance, but the towing warning are so small that if you blink while going into the lot, you will miss it. There are two signs posted on the side of the cell phone store building wall facing the lot warning people that the parking spaces are for customers visiting three businesses in the block. If they park, they will be towed, but both outside wall signs are in English.
ABYSS Towing must be making a killing with the contract, which HNNUSA has noticed that they even got a new tow truck.
HNNUSA is investigating whether ABYSS Towing has taken ownership of titles for vehicles that victims can't afford to pay the excessive penalty for towing and storage fees in order to get their vehicles returned.
One thing for sure, the City of Milwaukee is not getting a cut of the towing profits, because vehicles towed from private property are not cited first by parking enforcement or police before being towed. ABYSS Towing could not be reached for comment.

A state law (2013 WI ACT 76) that took effect last October allows anyone to tow a vehicle without being bonded or licensed creating a scamming operation for profits. The new towing law allows private property owners to have vehicles towed from their properties or leased parking lots. But private towing businesses are over charging illegally to tow vehicles, accept cash payments and don't provide receipts to victims whose vehicles have been towed. Victims paying cash and getting no receipts for vehicles towed indicates private towing businesses are most likely cheating the state from paying taxes.
Fox 6 Now news reported that, under the new towing law, private towing companies are required to charge a maximum of $105 per regular tow and $20 per day for storage, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT). The ABYSS Towing charges three times more for towing than the WISDOT requirement.

State towing law at link (PDF): http://bit.ly/1G0dAJ5

It's cheaper to get towed by the City from the street, including storage compared to ABYSS Towing, a private contractor getting towed from a private property. Checkout what the City of Milwaukee charges for towing, according to their Web site.

 ● The towing fee is $105.00

 ● The flatbed towing fee is $125.00, when a flatbed tow is required

●The relocation moving fee is $25.00 for uninsured drivers

●The outdoor vehicle storage fee is $20.00/calendar day

●The indoor vehicle storage fee is $30.00/calendar day

Robert Miranda, Former Esperanza Unida Executive Director Gets Probation In Obstructing Case

Miranda pled guilty to obstructing an officer investigating mural funding allegations of falsely claiming matching fund with CMAC.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 19, 2015

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, Robert Miranda, pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor for obstructing an officer, his sentence was stayed and received one year probation. Miranda was facing nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines.
Miranda was charged for making false statements concerning a matching fund from the City of Milwaukee Arts Council  (CMAC), which agreed to grant $4,500 geared for a mural repair in 2011, if Miranda would provide another $5,000. Miranda claimed he had a matching fund and the CMAC released their funding. It was later discovered that Miranda didn't have a matching fund until months later, according to the complaint.
In August 2014, Miranda said, that Reynaldo Hernández, the artist that painted the Esperanza Unida mural was paid $2,500 from the city art funding and never returned the money for work never done. Miranda told Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) that Hernández should return that money to the organization.
Manuel "Manny" Pérez, who took over after Miranda left the organization as executive director of Esperanza Unida, Inc. had confirmed that Hernández was paid $2,500 and had not seen anything that the artist had done to the building outdoor mural to keep the funding. Hernández should as an ethical stand strongly consider returning the money, according to Pérez.
Once the article was posted by HNNUSA, Hernández contacted Pérez and made an agreed payment to reimburse Esperanza Unida. Pérez said, that Hernández paid back part of the funds after he gave Pérez documentation what had been done for the mural.
Pérez previously confirmed to HNNUSA, that a $4,500 check was sent to the City Attorney's Office to resolve the issue concerning Miranda's prior request to get city art funds to recondition a mural without actually having a matching fund.
Pérez also stated, that Esperanza Unida could not account for $700,000 of loans that were granted by several banks to the prior Richard Oulahan administration. There is no record of what happened to the funds and the feds had been notified of the discrepancy of funds, according to Pérez.
Miranda admitted that Esperanza Unida was going through a financial crisis that resulted from the Oulahan bank loans of $700K that went unaccounted for, but had to be paid and he was desperate to save Esperanza Unida. Miranda stated on Thursday, at the time "we were hemorrhaging, it was a stress to keep that agency open, it was a bad decision" regarding to the art matching funds request and not having matching funds.
Miranda said, "Well, this case is finally over. My apologies to those who support me. Good intention, bad decision. In 2006, when I took over EU, many gave the agency 6 months before it would close. After working out a deal with the banks and the city to allow me to put a plan I had in place to get the agency back on its feet, I proceeded with my work to do so. My plan to save Esperanza Unida had the support of the Mayor of Milwaukee, the former president of Milwaukee Area Technical College, the CEO of Bucyrus International and leaders of the country of Turkey. The plan was to have Turkey buy heavy earth moving equipment from Bucyrus, who then would hire welders trained by Esperanza Unida under the guidance and training of welding instructors from MATC. Bucyrus would hire our workers because under a sister city economic agreement I was able to put together with the help of Alderman Jim Witkowiak and Alderman Joe Davis, Turkey would be contracting with Bucyrus under that sister city agreement. The plan died because the MATC board of directors voted against it 5 to 4. Two Hispanics sat on that board. They were former State Representative Pedro Colón and Labor Attorney Peter Earle. These two Hispanics voted against this plan to keep this Hispanic job training agency open in their community. Before they voted against Esperanza Unida, Christine Neumann-Ortiz of Voces de la Frontera, a workers rights group, spoke against having this deal go through for the same community she says she cares about. Go Figure. That being said. Life goes on."
In February 2015, HNNUSA reported that an Ethics Board complaint filed by Pérez, the executive director from Esperanza Unida described details how Alderman José G. Pérez from the 12th Aldermanic District engaged in conflict of interest, made derogatory comments, attempted to purchase the 611 building and canceled his presence to a grand opening for an insurance business at the Esperanza Unida International Building. Ald. Pérez actions contributed to Esperanza Unida's lack of help from the city and adding new tenants.
The Ethics Board complaint revealed that in 2013, Damon Dorsey, a developer contacted Esperanza Unida and notified Manuel Pérez that he won't be doing any business with Esperanza Unida because Alderman Pérez offered a BID to Dorsey undermining any economic development project for Esperanza Unida without public imput, Manuel requested a letter of support from Ald. Pérez for Esperanza Unida's attempt to promote economic development and Ald. Pérez refused to grant a letter of support to Esperanza Unida. Until a lawyer received a statement from a Esperanza Unida Board member indicating he had requested to buy the 611 W. National Avenue building, Ald. Pérez found out and immediately released a letter of support to Esperanza Unida.
The Ethics Board never acted or investigated the Esperanza Unida complaint against Ald. Pérez simply because they received it via e-mail and was not notarized. Ald. Pérez BID offer to Dorsey is considered an illegal act, which if pursued and investigated by the Ethics Board, the City Attorney's Office or the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office could cost Ald. Pérez his job.

Carmen Aristegui Reached Out To MVS Radio To Reconsider Removal Of News Staff

Journalist Aristegui wants dialogue with MVS Communications/Radio owners to resolve conflict over Mexico Leaks and contract assuring freedom of expression and agreements reached in the last six years.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 19, 2015

Mexico City - On Thursday, María del Carmen Aristegui Flores, journalist and radio host for Aristegui Noticias formally aired by MVS Communications/Radio (MVSC/R) called for MVSC/R, including the owners, the Vargas family to reconsider their decision to remove Aristegui News from the air and to end their contract with Aristegui. Aristegui during a 50 minute live streaming on YouTube sent out an invitation for Joaquín Vargas, one of the owners of MVSC/R to meet with her on Monday. She indicated that the Aristegui News staff is ready to return to work, the moment the Vargas family would decide to do so.
Aristegui questioned how MVSC/R decided to remove her and the rest of her staff from the air. She alleged that President Enrique Peña Nieto's narco-government or others (possibly the PRI Party) was behind the powerful force to remove her from the air in order to stop them from reporting about upcoming  government corruption scandals.
Aristegui said, that she is open to work out the differences or any misunderstanding between their alliance with Mexico Leaks. She confirmed that the MVSC/R corporate name was never exploited or used in any way that would make money or compromise the integrity of the company. MVSC/R had claimed that both Daniel Lizárraga and Irving Huerta, members of the Aristegui News had used the corporate name to secure an alliance with Mexico Leaks, a Web site for whistle-blowers to submit information  and supporting documents of government corruption.
Aristegui denied MVSC/R's claim that they used the corporate name without authorization and in any case that issue would be easily negotiated. She mentioned that the Vargas family must have endured enormous pressure or threats by the Peña Nieto's narco-government to come to the conclusion to remove the Aristegui News from the air and breaking her contract.
Aristegui was paid by MVS at least $1,200,000 pesos ($80,000 U.S.) per month by contract, the Financiero reported.
Aristegui said, if MVSC/R would not reconsider her removal from the air, she would have no other option than to file a civil lawsuit for unfair breach of contract.
MVSC/R also removed both Adriana Buentello and Ame Motta after publicly supporting Aristegui's news staff, but the company says, they were terminated due to employee cut backs.
She alleged that Peña Nieto's narco-government is an authoritarian government that has engaged in attempting to limit freedom of expression by journalists and had paid other corrupt journalists that took bribes to report without naming Aristegui News that it had made an alliance with Mexico Leaks and indicating the use of the corporate name without authorization. The Peña Nieto's narco-government has more than 20 journalists under their payroll.

Carmen Aristegui's press conference starts at 4:42 into video: https://youtu.be/XPaHFU-CPCw

Update: The MVS Communications Vice President Felipe Chao in a three page statement responded to Aristegui's plea to reconsider her removal from the air, he said that the working relationship between Aristegui and MVS has ended and wished her success in her future endeavors. The MVS corporation will not accept ultimatums or demands from radio hosts and employees, according to Chao. Chao confirmed that Aristegui's contract was renewed in December and had received a new company car. MVS is not limiting freedom of expression with the latest policies that took effect on Monday and no one was fired for exposing the White House real estate scandal involving Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his wife, Angélica Rivera. The author of that story, Rafael Cabrera continues to be employed at MVS. The reason Aristegui's contract was terminated was that she knew for eight months that Daniel Lizárraga and Irving Huerta had been planning to form an alliance with Mexico Leaks under MVS, which the owners and the administration didn't know until she announced the alliance on her program, Chao says. Chao confirmed that the working relationship between MVS Radio and Aristegui has ended.
Both Rafael Cabrera and Sebastián Barragán confirmed that Chao and MVS Communications are lying about Cabrera still employed by MVS Radio. Cabrera and Barragán say, the two were fired from MVS along with the Aristegui's News staff.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Discriminatory Practices Target Both Mexicanos And Tejanos

Houston's 19-day rodeo event and its sponsor, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a Texas non-profit organization has blatantly engaged in discriminatory practices targeting both Mexican nationals and Tejanos.

March 18, 2015

Houston, Texas - The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), a Texas non-profit organization that sponsors a 19-day rodeo in March has for years discriminated against both Mexican nationals and Tejanos. The HLSR 19-day rodeo event ends Sunday, March 22.
The HLSR has received funds from major corporations, sponsors and held fundraisers, including the 19-day rodeo event, which according to their federal tax reporting, they generated about $133M of revenue last year. In the last five years, the HLSR Educational Fund has given out more than $60M in scholarship awards to college bound students and students already in college.
Today, about 2,100 students attending 100 different colleges in Texas have received at least $40M in scholarships, not including grants from other sources. The HLSR has committed more than $24M for the HLSR Educational Fund this year, according to their Web site.
Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has learned that not one dollar of those scholarships has ever been awarded to DREAMers or undocumented student immigrants in Houston and Texas. The HLSR has a discriminatory guideline and requirement that excludes DREAMers and undocumented student immigrants from applying for scholarships, only U.S. Citizens and a Texas resident can apply for those scholarships.
Within the last eight years, the HLSR has expanded their NRG arena music genre to include Mexican Bands and Norteña bands to attract the Mexican national population residing in the tri-county area including Houston to generate revenue at the 19-day rodeo event and to the NRG arena featured concerts. Mexican nationals that attend the rodeo event do spend money and support the HLSR, but in return, the HLSR doesn't event award scholarships to the daughters and sons of Mexican nationals that help generate the scholarship funds.
Tejanos have been discriminated as well, but have been staging protests against the HLSR organization in the last eight years. This year, the Tejano outcry and protests to expose the HLSR's continued practice not to book Tejano bands and conjuntos during the March 15 "Go Tejano Day" has generated publicity to a well known fact that the HLSR executive committee, the HLSR CEO and president, including the chairman of the HLSR Board of Directors who are all White have blatantly discriminated against both Mexican nationals and Tejanos.
Numerous attempts have been made by HNNUSA to get a response from the HLSR organization, the HLSR CEO and the HLSR Board chairman, but none have responded.

UAM Students In Mexico Initiate Petition To Transmit Aristegui's Radio Program From University

Two more MVS Radio employees fired after openly supporting Aristegui.

March 17, 2015

Mexico, D.F. - On Monday, the students at the UAM in Mexico began to circulate a petition asking for María del Carmen Aristegui Flores and her news staff to conduct radio programming at the UAM 94.1 FM Radio station from the university. The petitions are being circulating among students, teachers, administrators and workers, which will be turned in to the UAM University General Director Dr. Salvador Vega León by March 19.
Aristegui, a radio host/journalist was removed from MVS Radio after two of her staff members were fired for allegedly using the MVS corporate name to become an allied with several other news sources in creating Mexico Leaks.
Aristegui News reported today, that Adriana Buentello and Ame Motta were also fired from MVS. Buentello posted on her Facebook (FB) account that MVS Radio told them that they were being let go due to employee cut backs. Motta posted on her FB that they had openly supported Aristegui and believe they were fired because of their support for Aristegui.
Several days ago, several thousand people showed up at MVS Radio to protest Aristegui's removal and the firing of both Daniel Lizárraga and Irving Huerta. They were fired because they use the MVS corporate name to make an unauthorized agreement with Holland's Press Unlimited to be part of an eight member news source to be part of Mexico Leaks, an Internet web page that whistle-blowers could anonymously to submit documents exposing Mexican government corruption.
Critics have said that MVS Radio has received pressure from the PRI Party and President Enrique Peña Nieto's  (PRI) administration to get rid of the Journalists involved in exposing the White House real estate property owned by Peña and his wife, and the PRI Party prostitution scandals that Aristegui Noticias exposed and reported.
Cuauhtémoc Gutiérrez de la Torre, the PRI Party leader in Mexico City was involved in a prostitution ring, he was later removed from the job. Women were solicited for employment at the PRI headquarters in Mexico City, but when they were interviewed, it turned out that they would be paid to engage in sex acts with De la Torre while at work.

Update: Another petition is also circulating requesting for Aristegui and her staff to be allowed to transmit her news radio program from the UNAM 96.1 FM and 860 AM radio. The petition asks for General Director Narró Robles José to approve Aristegui's Radio news program at UNAM.

Thugs With Weapons And Drugs Busted During Milwaukee Northside Street Video Production

At least 17 suspects were taken into custody involving drugs and four were charged for carrying concealed weapons, according to police.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, police reported that at least 17 people were taken into custody near the 2700 block of N. 23rd St. near N. Center St. in Milwaukee's Northside. Police say that Monday around 4:00 p.m. a concerned citizen called and reported about 50 people at a corner with weapons.
When police arrived, most of the people who gathered at the corner fled and police managed to arrest 17 people ranging from ages 14 to 21. Some of the suspects had large amounts of marijuana and ecstasy pills on them. Four of the suspects were carrying concealed weapons. Some of the weapons had been reported stolen.
Police later determined that a local Milwaukee video production company was making a street video, but the extras for the video that turned up were actual thugs, drug dealers/users and alleged criminals, according to police.
The suspects are facing charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Loitering – Drug Related Activity, police reported.
The cases were referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for review and pending charges.

Houston's Go Tejano Day Attendence At NRG Arena Low For Mexican Genre Venue

Local Houston KPRC 2 News reported that Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had a record attendence of more than 75K at the event, but photo from inside the arena and a worker's posting on Facebook indicate low turnout for the arena concert.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 17, 2015

Houston, Texas - Some Houston residents are questioning the news coverage about last Sunday's record breaking attendence at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) event. Houston KPRC 2 News reported that about 75,357 people attended Sunday's Go Tejano Day at the HLSR event, according to organizers. But the news cast failed to show any crowd at the arena from Sunday's headliner show featuring the Máquinaria Norteña and Arrolladora Banda El Limón.
A leaked photo by Melissa Flores on Facebook (FB) that is circulating on the social network and a FB posting by a worker from inside the NRG arena showed the arena seating sections mostly empty. The HLSR has been experiencing low attendence to the event since it began during the 19-day event.
On Sunday, Tejano music enthusiasts were out protesting with signs against the HLSR's continued practice to keep Tejano bands or conjuntos from sharing the stage with Mexican music genre bands on Go Tejano Day. Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) was unable to get additional photos or video from those attending the NRG arena concert to confirmed that the Mexican music venue was sold out. HNNUSA learned that the HLSR handed out thousands of complimentary tickets to Houston area rodeo attendees.
If KPRC 2 News who had access to the venue didn't show a packed show at the arena, it is most likely the arena event bombed-out. Hopefully, next year Tejano bands can share the stage with Mexican music genre bands to pack the concert and bring in the revenue needed to fund the event and hefty salaries for the HLSR organizers.
KHOU 11 News posted photos of the Mexican music genre on GO Tejano Day, but the photos on their FB page when enlarged show the first level of the NRG arena barely full and the two upper levels mostly empty, including the ground level for standing room was even empty at the 71,500 capacity stadium. Lesson learned for the HLSR that Tejanos were needed to attend on Sunday to pack the arena.
HNNUSA has learned that the non-profit HLSR actually even discriminates against DREAMers, they expected for Mexican nationals to attend the Go Tejano Day venue and the 19-day event to generate revenue for scholarships and they don't award scholarships to the children of the people they expect to spend money at the HLSR. The HLSR has for years expanded their Mexican music venue at their event, but only award scholarships to U.S. citizens and not to DREAMers or undocumented students whose parents have been supporting the rodeo and do spend money at the HLSR event.
The HLSR 19-day rodeo event ends on March 22.

Only U.S. Citizens can apply for scholarships with the HLSR, according to their discriminatory guidelines and requirements of exclusion.

MVS Ends Contract With Journalist Carmen Aristegui Over Mexico Leaks Ties

MVS claims that two journalists that were fired previously for using their corporate name as an unauthorized collaboration agreement with Mexico Leaks.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 16, 2015

Mexico, D.F. - On Sunday, MVS Radio reported that they have ended a contract agreement with journalist Carmen Aristegui after receiving a letter from her requesting that two of her journalists that were fired last week be rehired. Both Daniel Lizárraga and Irvin Huerta were fired because they use the MVS corporate name to make an unauthorized agreement with Holland's Press Unlimited to be part of an eight member news source to be part of Mexico Leaks, an Internet web page that whistle-blowers could anonymously to submit documents exposing Mexican government corruption.
Aristegui on Monday met with staff near MVS Radio and told media outlets, that the battle begins against the corrupt Peña administration, which she called an authoritarian government suppressing freedom of expression. Aristegui says, that her termination from MVS Radio might have been planned for months by very powerful people using enormous amounts of money indicating that MVS executives might have been bribed. Obama And Veteran Administration's Illegal Sanctions Against U.S. Deported Veterans

The U.S. Congress has failed to monitor and investigate why the Obama administration and the Veterans Administration continue to illegally sanction deported U.S. Veterans from earned medical benefits.

Washington, D.C. - The Veterans Administration (VA) today has failed thousands of U.S. deported Veterans since 1996, when former President Bill Clinton signed a bill making it easier to deport men and women who formerly served honorably in the military for minor felony crimes. Most deported U.S. Veterans under Congressional law qualified or were getting earned medical benefits, but those benefits stopped once they were deported.
Today under the Obama administration, the VA continues to illegally hold those benefits from all deported Veterans, which many suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and others who are in need of earned VA medical benefits. The VA has confirmed, that deported Veterans must apply in person in the U.S. to claim benefits, but deported Veterans can't cross into the U.S. once they are deported, if they do, they face federal prison for illegally re-entering the country.
A group of U.S. deported Veterans based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico has been vocal that the Obama administration and the VA have failed them, which some Veterans in Mexico have died in poverty and with no medical benefits. The Deported Veterans Support House (DVSH) in Tijuana headed by Héctor Barajas, a deported Veteran himself has exposed the VA for illegally holding and not granting benefits to deported Veterans. Clinton might have signed a bill to deport Veterans, but the bill does not take away those VA earned benefits from deported Veterans.
The U.S. Congress has even failed to create an investigative committee to look into the Obama's administration and the VA's failure to provide benefits to deported Veterans. The VA must be held accountable for its failure to provide the earned benefits to all those deported Veterans that were honorably discharged. They might committed a minor crime to be deported under the Clinton bill, but their conviction did not removed their service record as serving honorably in the military.
Only upon death, a deported Veteran can return to the U.S. to be buried with full military honors at a government burial plot.
Shame on the Obama administration, the VA and the U.S. Congress for the illegal sanctions against deported Veterans, lack of accountability and failure to provide the earned benefits bestowed to all Veterans who served  honorably by Congress.

In memory of two members of the Deported Veterans Support House who died without VA medical benefits and in poverty in Mexico. On March 10, Gonzalo Chaidez, 64, a deported U.S. Army Veteran passed away in Tijuana. Chaidez suffered from Tuberculosis and as a deported U.S. Veteran, he was not allowed to use his earned benefits or seek treatment at any VA Hospital because he was deported.
In April 21, 2014, Hector Barrios, 70, a deported U.S. Army Sergeant Veteran died in Tijuana from a heart stroke and was a house resident at the DVSH too. Barrios attempted to collect earned VA benefits for years, but was unsuccessful and died in poverty because he couldn't return to the U.S. to apply for medical care.

What the Obama administration and the Veterans Administration don't want America to see, it's a national disgrace to the men and women who honorably served in the military during peace, conflict and wars.
