Most fentanyl related deaths are considered mere overdose deaths and hardly anyone selling or supplying fentanyl laced drugs get charged with intentional drug poisoning, or a drug related homicide.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office (MCMEO) reported on August 11, 2022 that the number of fentanyl deaths increased more than 170% over the past 5 years (from 2017 to 2022).

On August 10, 2022, the MCMEO reported that drug related deaths were up more than 60% from 2017 to 2021 and this year are higher.

On July 28, 2022, the MCMEO reported that 238 fentanyl deaths to date in Milwaukee County and 96 additional cases pending toxicology testing.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, when contacted about the Luis Lorenzo homicide case at El Rey Supermarket on S. Chávez Drive, Attorney William Sulton confirmed that he plans to file a lawsuit next week.

Next week, a wrongful death lawsuit is expected to be filed in Milwaukee County against El Rey Supermarket and Enoch Wilson, 45, the Director of Marshal Public Safety (MPS), according to Attorney William Sulton who is representing the family of Luis J. Lorenzo, 36, aka, "Pito" who in July 9, 2022 was targeted by now deceased Marshal Public Safety Officer Anthony "Tony" James Nolden, 59. who lost his life after he and Wilson attacked Lorenzo after leaving the El Rey Supermarket. Both Wilson and Nolden chased after Lorenzo in the parking lot of El Rey after Lorenzo was mazed by Nolden and Wilson tackled Lorenzo to the ground. Lorenzo fearing for his life took out a weapon from his backpack and fatally shot Nolden. Then Wilson fatally shot Lorenzo.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office ruled both deaths as homicides.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office later decided not to criminally charge Wilson for Lorenzo's homicide. Wilson and Nolden both had expired gun licenses as security guards while contracted by El Rey Supermarket.

Wilson and Nolden were illegally carrying firearms while working as private security at El Rey because Wilson's firearm license expired on June 28, 2022 and Nolden's firearm license had expired on March 10, 2022, according to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) website.

Lorenzo's death was initially triggered when he refused to leave his backpack at the El Rey customer service desk. The El Rey has a none posted store policy enforcement of no big bags or backpacks allowed inside El Rey.

Lorenzo frequently went to El Rey to eat food at the taquería (food restaurant) located inside El Rey on S. César E. Drive in the Southside of Milwaukee, according to his family.

August 2, 2022

Somerset, Wisconsin - On Monday, Nicolae Miu, 52, of Prior Lake, Minnesota was charged in St. Croix County, Wisconsin with one felony count for 1st-degree degree international homicide and four felony counts for attempt 1st-degree intentional homicide for the July 30, 2022 stabbing death of Isaac Schuman, 17, of Stillwater, Minnesota and injuring for other individuals who were injured with non-life-threatening stab wounds, according to the criminal complaint filed in St. Croix County.

If convicted, Miu is facing up to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 1st-degree intentional homicide and life in prison for each felony count of attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide. A $1,000,000 cash bond was set for Miu.

According to the criminal, Miu claimed that a member of his Apple River tubing group had lost the phone in the river and he went looking for it. He approached a group of juvenile tubers who believed that Miu was looking for little girls and began to call him a pedophile, which no evidence has been found that Miu was actually looking for little girls nor does he have any criminal history record of being convicted as a pedophile or chikd molester.

The juvenile tubers felt intimidated by Miu and yelled at another group of adults tubers to help them with the incident, so multiple men and women confronted Miu at the river.

Homicide investigators in St. County did recover cellphone videos from witnesses that actually showed the confrontation between a group of juvenile and adult tubers and Miu who they accused of being a pedophile (child molester) and looking for little girls, which turned out to be false. No evidence in the investigation indicated that Miu was actually attempting to molest any juvenile in the incident.

Miu was told by various juvenile and adult tubers that he confrontated to leave and he failed to do so, as did the tubers who approached Miu and began to insult him. Miu apparently slapped a woman and a male adult individual punched Miu who fell back on the river. The video also showed that an adult male had touched Miu's back. Miu was seen taking a small three inch folding knife from his pocket to fend off those who were attacking him. Miu told investigators that he feared for his life.

The 9-page criminal complaint says that Miu told an investigator that he manage to take a knife away from one of the individuals who attacked him, but the knife belonged to Miu, according to his wife, Sondra and video evidence obtained by investigators.

The videos obtained during the investigation showed Miu being confronted by a group of adult tubers who some of them slapped and pushed Miu. Miu is also seen in the videos stabbing some of the individuals including Schuman.

One of the surviving victims posted her story on her Facebook account and identified herself as Ryhley Mattison, 24, from Burnsville, Minnesota.

Miu is an engineer who designs cooling systems in Minnesota and on his Facebook account indicated his support for Trump.
