18-year-old Brian González-Hernández Charged With Two Felony Counts For Stabbing/cutting A Woman And Child

González-Hernández was charged with two felony counts in connection with the stabbing/cutting of a woman and child in a domestic dispute incident in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Friday, Brian González-Hernández, 18, of Milwaukee was charged with two felony counts for 2nd-degree reckless injury with enhancers for domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon; and child abuse-recklessly cause great harm with enhancers for domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon in connection with the August 15, 2022 stabbing or cutting domestic dispute incident at the 1500 block of S. 6th Street.

If convicted, González-Hernández is facing up to 12 years and 6 months in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for 2nd-degree reckless injury and an additional 9 months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for domestic abuse and up to 5 years in prison for use of a dangerous weapon. He is also facing up to 15 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines for child abuse-recklessly cause great harm and an additional 9 months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for domestic abuse and up to 5 years in prison for use of a dangerous weapon.

A compentency evaluation for González-Hernández was ordered on August 20.

According to the criminal complaint, González-Hernández allegedly on August 15th stabbed or cut a 15-year-old male and a 40-year-old woman at the 1500 block of S. 6 Street during a domestic dispute. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

On August 19, the victim (petitioner) filed a restraining order against González-Hernández, according to Milwaukee County court records.
