Family Of Anastacio Hernández Rojas Filed Petition With ICHR Seeking Lawsuit Against The U.S. For Torture Resulting In Murder By Border Agents

In November 2015, the U.S. Department of Justice decided not to file murder charges against 8 U.S. Customs and Border Protection including Border Patrol agents for the May 28, 2010 brutal homicide of undocumented immigrant Anastacio Hernández Rojas.

Washington, D.C. - On Wednesday, the family of Anastacio Hernández Rojas, 42, an undocumented immigrant who was brutally beaten and tasered multiple times by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents and later died at a hospital filed a petition with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (ICHR) in Washington, D.C. to sue the U.S. for the torture and homicide of Hernández Rojas. In November 2015, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) decided not to prosecute or file felony murder charges against eight U.S. Border Patrol agents, Customs and Border Protection agents including four supervisors who watched and encouraged the deadly abuse of Hernández Rojas at the San Isidro Port-of-entry crossing for lack of evidence.
The DOJ said, that the agents involved used reasonable force to subdue Hernández Rojas. It was later discovered that 15 to 25 border patrol agents participated while others watched Hernández Rojas get beaten, kicked and tased repeatedly while in handcuffs at the U.S. border crossing.
Hernández Rojas pleaded for help and for the agents to stop beating and repeatedly tasering him as dozens of witnesses watched and video recorded including taking pictures of the incident from the border bridge crossing.
The agents later confiscated witnesses cellphones, deleted videos and photos. The agents didn't even file reports that at least 30 witnesses were present during the incident. The witnesses were also dispersed from the scene in an attempt to cover-up the brutal beating and homicide of Hernández Rojas. Only three witnesses were later interviewed by San Diego police.
A cellphone video later surfaced showing the border patrol agents beating and tasering Hernández Rojas multiple times who pleaded for help.
The ICHR is the only human rights international commission that has jurisdiction and authority to hear an individual complaint against the U.S. for human rights violations.
In an interview with Democracy Now, Roxanna Altholz, an international human rights lawyer and scholar, including an associate director at the University of California-Berkeley's International Human Rights Law Clinic says, that since Hernández Rojas murder in 2010 by border patrol agents, at least 40 to 50 undocumented immigrants have been killed by agents and none of the border patrol agents involved have been held accountable or brought to justice.
The San Diego Medical Examiner's Office classified Hernández Rojas death as a homicide. Hernández Rojas autopsy revealed that he had five broken ribs, had suffered from a lack of oxygen to his brain for 8 minutes causing brain dead as a result of a heart attack attributed to the beating and taser's electrical shocks, had abrasions/contusions to the face, arms and legs including a large hematoma.
Judge M. James Lorenz of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California on September 29, 2014 determined that the U.S. Border Patrol agents identified as Phillip Krasielwicz, Gabriel Ducoing and Derrick Llewellyn; Immigration Enforcement Agents Harinzo Naraisnesingh and Andre Piligrino; Customs and Border Protection Officers Kurt Sauer and agent Allen Boutwell; Border Patrol Supervisors Ishmael Finn, Guillermo E. Avila and Edward C. Caliri, and Custom and Border Protection Supervisor Ramon De Jesús were responsible or contributed to Hernández Rojas death in 2010.

Keystone Development could not be reached for comment and has not released any information about what future is in store for the mural.
At the moment, the future of the $80K Peace mural is uncertain, but one thing for sure, the missing mural sections from the side of the building wall were not in the large trash, debris and waste container located in the parking lot.

Latinos Plan Massive Protest And March Against Trump During CNN Debate In Milwaukee

Three candidates for the Republican nomination for president especially Trump will face a major protest and march by Latinos in Milwaukee at the scheduled CNN Riverside Theater debate.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

March 27, 2016

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, a massive protest and march against Trump and two other candidates for the Republican nomination for president will take place in Milwaukee. Voces de la Frontera (VDLF), a workers and immigrant rights organization called on Latinos from Wisconsin and surrounding states to unite and peacefully protest Trump's bigoted campaign that has spread hate and promoted violence against those protesting its White supremacy racist propaganda targeting Latinos, Afro-Americans and Muslims, including undocumented immigrants and other minorities in America. Trump has referred to his hate speech as politically correct speech today, but hate speech is not considered free speech by protesters.
VDLF, Latinos and supporters will march from the Milwaukee Southside to downtown and will meet up with other groups to protest Trump's White supremacy campaign to spread hate and violence against Latinos and other minorities in the U.S. Trump was endorse by White supremacy groups, which are helping him to spread hate targeted at Latinos, Afro-Americans and Muslim-Americans.
When Trump first announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for president, he falsely accused Mexico of sending rapists and criminals to the U.S. illegally and then recently generalized that in order to keep terrorists out of America after the Brussels bombing attacks, Muslims must be prevented from visiting or immigrating to the U.S.
Also Ted Cruz, another Republican candidate added fuel to Trump's bigoted speech by suggesting that Muslim neighborhoods where large concentrations of the Muslim population reside should be patrolled by law enforcement to prevent terrorism. Cruz couldn't specifically identified an area where he thought terrorist cells existed to support his call for patrolling Muslim communities.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. hasn't confirmed, if he will help provide added security for Trump in Milwaukee along with the Secret Service and Milwaukee police after VDLF and another group petitioned the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors to prevent Sheriff Clarke from participating in security after he went on FOX News and suggested that Trump supporters when faced with counter protesters to "hit first and hit hard" when they faced a threat of an attack by an anti-hate protester.
Other protests in Wisconsin against Trump events are expected in Janesville and Green Bay as well.
The Secret Service says that it will monitor all the organized protests against Trump and his campaign events.
Information leaked from Republican Governor Scott Walker's Office indicates that he will most likely endorse Trump for the Republican nomination for president and as a gesture of good will, he is expected to sign the Republican legislative bill SB 533 into law prohibiting local municipal identification cards to be issued to undocumented immigrants in Milwaukee County. A similar bill was introduced in the Arizona state legislature, but it failed to pass.
SB 533 was co-sponsored by WI Republican State Representative Yesenia Eldermira Rodriguez, aka, "Jessie Rodriguez" from Franklin who was an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador and later became legalized in the U.S.

In Milwaukee: People participating in the protest will gather in front of the Voces de la Frontera offices at 1027 S. 5th Street on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. and the march will then proceed at 5:00 p.m. to the Milwaukee downtown Riverside Theater where Trump and the two other candidates will participate in a Republican debate hosted by CNN.

Local Groups Don't Want Milwaukee County Sheriff Clarke Jr. Providing Security At Trump Event

Milwaukee County Sheriff Clarke Jr. on FOX News agreed with Donald J. Trump, that protesters should be "Hit first and Hit hard" at Trump rallies for disruptive behavior.

March 24, 2016

Milwaukee, WI - Local groups have began a petition for Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors not to allow Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. to handle security for an upcoming Trump event in Milwaukee because he went on FOX News and told the host that he didn't encouraged, but when it becomes "inevitable" for Trump rally participants to "Hit first and Hit hard" when hate speech protesters disrupt Trump events. Sheriff Clarke called the protesters anarchists composed of conglomeration of misfits, criminals, union supporters, university students, well intentional people who are used and indicated that it was a totalitarian movement to shut down free speech. "I'm not encouraging them to start the fight, but I'm one of those that comes from the school, if the fight is inevitable, hit first and hit hard," Sheriff Clarke stated. In most Trump rallies, hate speech protesters have been first assaulted by Trump supporters.
In a disservice to the viewing public, Sheriff Clarke during the FOX News, FOX & Friends, March 19, 2016 interview, he actually failed to inform the viewers that anyone involved in an altercation, especially in a political rally can be arrested and charged for assault and disorderly conduct as well.
Trump rallies are paid by the Trump political campaign and are considered private events that promote hate, violence and racism towards minorities including Mexicans, Afro-Americans and Muslims whether they have legal status or not. Tickets to attend Trump events are given out to anyone requesting one.
To many, Trump's rally hate speech is not free speech and Trump has been labeled the neo-Hitler in America, which White supremacy groups have come to endorse and support for his blatant hate and racial rhetoric towards minorities.
In a news release by Voces de la Frontera, a workers and immigrant rights organization in Milwaukee says that, Following Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke's incendiary comments targeting Trump protesters, Voces de la Frontera and Coalition for Justice began to circulate a petition to keep Clarke from providing security at Milwaukee-area Trump events.
"Sheriff Clarke's violent rhetoric endangers public safety, and his comments targeting immigrant rights and Black Lives Matter supporters completely disqualify him from having anything to do with protecting the public at Trump events," said Christine Neumann-Ortiz, Executive Director of Voces de la Frontera. "Clarke is inciting the racist violence that has shocked the country at Trump's rallies. We urge local authorities in the areas where Trump holds events to ensure that Clarke and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office are not in charge of protecting public safety, given his incendiary comments. We call on local authorities to establish a plan to prevent racial profiling and violence at Trump events to protect the people's constitutional right to protest."

Havana, Cuba - On Sunday,  hundreds of Cubans marched for freedom and human rights, at least 50 were arrested by pro-government police and supporters just before U.S. President Barack H. Obama was scheduled to arrive in Cuba. Pro-freedom Cubans want freedom, to end communist regime government corruption, poverty, unemployment and to end false propaganda that the economic system in Cuban is not failing in the country.
The Cuban government attempted to censor protests from the mainstream media and foreign press. But social media has allowed a glimpse of the protests taking place in Cuba denouncing the Castro corrupt government. Cubans hope that Obama can eventually help liberate their country from the Castro communist rule.
Obama is the first President to travel to the island in 90 years and U.S. mail resumed deliveries to Cuba several days ago too.
During a press conference, a reporter from CNN asked Raúl Castro, the current President about political prisoners still held in Cuba. Castro responded which political prisoners? Show me or give me list of political prisoners still held in Cuba and before the day is over, they will be freed.

The Cuban American National Foundation released an updated list of political prisoners held in Cuba. 50 Cubans arrested on Sunday in La Havana were not included in the list. http://bit.ly/22A7aKw

Drunk Texting And Claiming To Be A Milwaukee Cop Who Loves To Hate And Arrest Minorities Goes Viral

Milwaukee, WI -  Recently, Jestine Langlas posted on her Facebook account that she had a bad date about several years ago when she dated Jose Campos, who claimed in a recent posting that he enlisted in the U.S. Marines, was in the military police and became a Milwaukee police officer. Langlas posted a short story about her experience during the date about two years ago and noticed that Campos had a racist attitude at the time. She cut the date short and later told him how she felt about his racist attitude. But it took Campos at least three years to respond back to Langlas. He told her that he was enlisted in the Marines and became a Milwaukee police officer.
Campos admitted that he loves to hate and arrest minorities browner than himself, according to a post by Langlas. Well, someone contacted the Milwaukee Police Department and police confirmed that Campos was not an officer with the department.
Sergeant Timothy Gauerke from the Milwaukee Chief of Police Office responded to a Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) inquiry as well about Campos and stated, "Jose Campos is not a Milwaukee Police Officer and I don’t see a record of him ever being one."
Campos learned that Langlas posted his response on her Facebook account and it went viral due to his racist remarks about minorities. Campos is Hispanic as well.
Campos now claims he was drunk texting to another Facebook user that contacted him about his response to Langlas.
One thing for sure today, racist remarks are not tolerated by everyone as Trump attempts to portray in his campaign to spread hate rhetoric to gain votes for his quest to become the Republican candidate for president.

Houston, Texas- The 20-day Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLSR) recently announced on its Facebook account that it has broken attendance records once again at the event and at the NRG main stage arena. Just last Sunday, Los Huracanes del Norte and Los Recoditos attracted more than 75,000 at the NRG park on what is known as Tejano Day. No Tejano group has played at the NRG arena during the HLSR Tejano Day for years, which last year drew protests by Tejano residents from Houston and surrounding communities.
Once again this year, multiple Mexican groups are featured at the NRG arena and according to the HLSR organizers, it draws thousands of Mexican nationals to the 20-day event. The HLSR event is operated to help generate millions of dollars in addition to funding student scholarship donations they receive from major sponsors and corporations, according to their HLSR official website.

(HNNUSA) has noticed once again noticed, that the HLSR continues to prohibit undocumented students from applying for the very same scholarships their relatives and parents help fund when they attend the event or go see a Mexican genre style of music from a popular band playing at the NRG arena. According to the HLSR website for scholarships, only U.S. Citizens who are Texas residents can apply and prohibits legal residents, DREAMers and undocumented students residing in Texas from applying for scholarships. Most of the scholarships offered by the HLSR are not funded through the federal or state governments meaning, scholarship funding generated at the 20-day HLSR event and donations for scholarships by major corporations can be awarded to undocumented students and legal residents as well.
The HLSR should stop exploiting Mexican nationals by changing scholarship policy and begin to award the sons and daughters of those spending money at the event that now seems to depend on their patronage. HLSR, it is the right thing to do.
The HLSR event ends on March 20.

Madison, WI - On Tuesday, the Wisconsin State Senate session adjourned early and didn't take action on AB 450, an anti-immigrant bill that could have allowed law enforcement officers, city, state and municipal employees to enforce immigration laws. AB 450/SB 369 bill would have given police authority to investigate the legal status of undocumented immigrants and to detain them for deportation. AB 450 is dead for this session in the State Senate.
Another anti-immigrant bill, SB 533/AB 723 which prohibits counties from issuing local identification cards to residents who cannot obtain Wisconsin state ID passed both the State Assembly and Senate. Governor Scott Walker (R) has received the bill and approval is pending. He hasn't signed the bill into law.
Both Wisconsin anti-immigrant bills were similar bills taken up by the Arizona state legislature, but failed to pass.

Fort Worth, Texas - On Monday, Fort Worth Police Officer W. Figueroa was removed from uniformed patrol duties after allegations surfaced that he sprayed mace (pepper spray) at a group of bikers on the highway, according to the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD). Officer Figueroa was placed on administrative duty pending an internal investigation of the incident.
The FWPD received a copy of a video from social media showing Officer Figueroa getting out from his squad holding a can of mace and then began to spray bikers as they rode by on highway U.S. 287 near I-35W north on Sunday afternoon. The video went viral on social media.
Officer Figueroa had pulled over a red Dodge Ram truck for stopping on the side of the highway to video record the bikers doing stunts. The passengers of the truck were struck by mace from blow back wind as well.
The FWPD says, no one had come forward to file a complaint, but took action after the video showed Officer Figueroa macing bikers. FWPD internal affairs investigators confirmed that Officer Figueroa filed a report admitting that he sprayed bikers and have acquired camera footage from his body camera and squad. Police are now trying to locate the bikers involved.
Police reported that drivers along highway 287 called 911 on Sunday to report that bikers were blocking the highway, going in and out of traffic recklessly and making stunts.
The video that police received was posted on Facebook by Chase Stone showing a FWPD officer holding a can of mace and spraying bikers. Stone added the cop deliberately maced the bikers to cause an accident.

Trump Facing Charges For Inciting A Riot And John Franklin McGraw Charged For Sucker-punching Protester Rakeem Jones

McGraw charged for striking an Afro-American protester during a rally and Trump could face charges for encouraging his bigoted supporters to strike protesters.

March 14, 2016

Fayetteville, North Carolina - On Monday, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) confirmed that it is considering filing charges against Donald J. Trump who is campaigning for the Republican nomination for president on a misdemeanor charge for inciting a riot and encouraging his followers to strike protesters at his Trump rally. The CCSO is investigating whether Trump or his campaign has encouraged supporters to attack or strike protesters, which could result in charges for inciting to riot. The CCSO did not indicate when they will actually decide whether to charge Trump, since the investigation is still ongoing.
Trump in February was recorded in several occasions by national mainstream media telling his supporters to take action and strike protesters and that he would pay for their legal fees, if they did and got arrested. He even talked at a rally whether to would actually kill protesters, but indicated he wouldn't.
During a Trump rally last Wednesday, March 9 at the Crown Coliseum, protester Rakeem Jones of Fayetteville who was being escorted out by CCSO deputies when John Franklin McGraw, 78, got up and sucker-punched him several times and wasn't taken into custody at the time. A video of Franklin striking Jones and deputies not arresting him went viral in social media and the next day, detectives from the CCSO arrested Franklin on charges for assaulting Jones and disorderly conduct.
On Sunday during NBC's "Meet the Press," Trump indicated he would consider looking into Franklin's assault case and might be willing to pay for Franklin's legal fees, which would confirm Trump promoting violence and fulfilling his promise to pay legal fees for those who strike protesters.
Trump is considered a compulsive lier and has denied the allegations that he incited his supporters to strike protesters and says there is no violence at his rallies, but media coverage of rallies show otherwise.
Another video surfaced as well showing McGraw admitting to striking Jones because he was not acting like an American and says next time he would kill Jones.
The CCSO released the following statement, an "additional charge has been lodged against the man whom Cumberland County Sheriff's detectives have arrested for assaulting a young protester who was being escorted out of the Crown Coliseum during a political campaign rally being conducted by presidential candidate Donald Trump last night.  John Franklin McGraw was arrested the morning of Thursday, March 10, 2016, and charged with assaulting Rakeem Jones of Fayetteville, and disorderly conduct for his actions during the Trump rally in Fayetteville on Wednesday, March 9.
"Detectives conducting the criminal investigation, while reviewing video that was take at the Crown Coliseum during the event found that McGraw made statements to threatening Jones stating that he enjoyed  hitting "that loudmouth . . . who was "not acting like an American," and threatening next time "to kill him."
"After seeing this video the detective charged McGraw with the offense of Communicating Threats.
"When arrested earlier, the defendant, McGraw, who had been boastful and talkative to others around him and to the media, refused to talk with deputies, and invoked his Miranda rights, demanding an attorney.
"McGraw was processed again at the Cumberland County Jail and the magistrate set the defendant's total bond at $ 5000.00 secured.
"The Communicating Threats charge will have the same court date of April 06, 2016."

Update: The CCSO decided late Monday that there was no evidence to charge Trump for inciting a riot.

Southside Walker Point's Mural To Depict History Of The Latino Civil Rights Movement In Milwaukee

A collaborative joint effort by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Artworks for Milwaukee and local artist Raoul Deal are working on a major mural project to depict the history of the Latino civil rights movement in Milwaukee.

Hispanic News Network U.S.A.
March 12, 2016

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned that Michael Carriere, a history associate professor from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), students from both the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and MSOE, Artworks for Milwaukee and local artist Raoul Deal are working collaborative on a major mural project for Milwaukee's Southside. An oral history project will document the history of the United Migrant Opportunity Services (UMOS) and aspects of the Latino civil rights movement in Milwaukee that evolved and a mural will begin to be painted on by late Spring or early Summer and will be finished by this Fall depicting the history of the Latino civil rights movement, according to Carriere.
The mural will be placed on the side of the Butters-Fetting Co. building located on 1669 S. 1st Street and intersections S. Kinnickinnic Ave. and W. Historic Mitchell Street.
In late October, Jesús Salas had an oral history interview with Carriere. Salas became the first executive director of UMOS and well respected leader of the migrant rights movement in the late 1960's to the early 1970's, including an instrumental leader of the UWM chancellor's office takeover on August 27, 1970 that resulted in the elimination of a discriminatory policy that kept Latinos from enrolling at UWM and led to the creation of the Spanish Speaking Outreach Institute, which later was renamed the Roberto Hernández Center at UWM.
Marla G. Gonis and H. Nelson Goodson had an oral history interview with Carriere on Friday to speak about their mother, Marla O. Anderson who with Salas, Dante Navarro, Giorgio "Goyo" Rivera and José Luis Huerta-Sánchez were arrested on August 27, 1970 at the UWM chancellor's office for fighting to have equal access to higher education.
Salvador Sánchez, the second UMOS executive director was instrumental in allowing students from UMOS to take part in the UWM takeover in 1970.
The UWM takeover and successful action taken in 1970 by previously mentioned members of the Hispanic community including Roberto Hernández, Armando Orellana, leader of the Council for Education for Latin Americans (CELA) and Ernesto Chacon (Latin American Union for Civil Rights (LAUCR), Lalo Valdez, including Federico Zaragoza, led to the UMOS 80 mile March to Madison from Milwaukee to enforce and create laws for better housing and protecting migrant workers, protests for Welfare and housing rights in Milwaukee, protests against the discriminatory height requirement used by the Milwaukee Police and Fire Department that kept Latinos, Asians and other minorities from getting hired, which was later eliminated allowing for Latinos to become police officers and firefighters, changing state agency policies to allow the hiring of Latinos in the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicle, the creation of the Bilingual program by Tony Baez in the Milwaukee Public School District and protests against Miller Brewing and other brewing companies that kept Latinos from getting hired in the early 1970's.
The Latino civil rights movement was instrumental in changing state laws and creating laws to make Wisconsin a better place to live in the 1970's. Today, anyone pursuing higher education can easily enroll at any public and private university including technical colleges due to the attributed efforts and success of the Latino community civil rights movement in the mid 1960's and early 1970's.

If convicted on all felony murder counts, Popp is facing three consecutive life terms in prison and 60 years in prison on the attempted homicide. A cash bond of $150,000 has been set for Popp.
A rifle and gun were recovered at the scene.
The homicide victims and Popp lived in the same four unit apartment building, according to police.
The Vue couple are survived by four children and the youngest is 4, according to a family member.
According to police, Popp went to the Vue's apartment and forced his way inside. Once inside, Popp gathered all the family members to a back room, then took Phia to the bathroom and shot him dead. He then took Mia and several young girls upstairs to his apartment and fatally shot the mother. The two girls managed to escape.
One of the teenagers escaped outside and went to a neighbor for help. He told the neighbor that the deadly incident might have started over a laundry room dispute.
Manso-Pérez was the first victim that was shot at point blank. According to the criminal complaint, Manso-Pérez and his son had gone downstairs to wash when they were approached by Popp who asked them where they were from. Manso-Pérez responded from Puerto Rico and Popp said, that is why you can't speak English. Afterwards, when Manso-Pérez and his son were at their apartment, Popp came over and knocked at the door, when Manso-Pérez opened the apartment door, Popp pointed a rifle at him and told him "You guys got to go" and fatally shot him in the head. He then attempted to kill Manso-Pérez' son too by firing a shot at him.
When police arrived, Popp came out of the four unit apartment and surrendered after police repeatedly ordered him to drop his weapons.
Medical records show that Popp was being treated and taking medicine for a mental related issue as a U.S. Veteran in 2008, but had weapons in his possession, according to court records.
Police have not confirmed, if Popp's triple homicide was motivated by Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump's anti-immigrant racist and hate rhetoric towards Latinos and minorities.

Juneau from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. no details about funeral arrangements have been released yet, but Ruiz' mother request for him to be laid to rest, according to Roberto.
Ruiz was a well known social justice community and immigration rights activist for the last 20 years. Ruiz worked with national organizations for immigration reform and was the founder of the Latino Carnival Parade and Street Festival annual event in Milwaukee's Southside.
Ruiz helped organized and was among the 60,000 immigrants and supporters who rallied at the Day Without Latinos and Immigrants on February 18 at the Capitol in Madison against several Republican anti-immigrant bills. Voces de la Frontera, a workers and immigrant rights non-profit organization released the following statement on Ruiz passing, "On behalf of the board, staff, and members of Voces de la Frontera, it is with great sadness we write to inform people that a great leader in the immigrant rights movement has passed away. Juan Carlos Ruiz, 53, of Milwaukee was a man with a deep passion for social justice.  As a Latino immigrant from Peru, he was dedicated to the civil rights struggle for immigrants in our state and nationally, and to challenging all forms of social inequality. Juan Carlos has a proud record of organizing to defend Milwaukee’s low income children from lead poisoning, he has left us a rich history of mobilizing the Latino vote, and most recently he marched in the ranks of a Day Without Latinos and Immigrants to defeat state anti-immigrant bills. It was our honor to know him.  He had a passion for life and sadly, it was a life cut too short. It is a loss for both the community he served tirelessly and for his loving family. Yet, his life serves as an inspiration to all of us, to live a meaningful life that goes beyond our individual selves and is in service to the progress of humanity. Our heart-felt condolences go out to his family..."
