Nelson Goodson </div><div dir="auto">Hispanic News Network U.S.A.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">February 22, 2024</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Eric Hovde (R), a candidate for the U.S. Senate and David D. King, also a known Republican and a candidate for Mayor in Milwaukee held a roundtable discussion at Lareños Restaurant in the Southside of Milwaukee. Those in attendance were Geary Morales, Veronica Díaz, Walter Garron, Leo Molina, Victor Huyke, the Publisher of El Conquistador, Hilario DeLeon, the Chair of the Milwaukee County Republican Party and others.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">During the roundtable discussion, Hovde said that he was in the Southside of Milwaukee to learn about the concerns that people had, he discussed federal immigration issues and about how some people wanted to defund the police, but came short to recognize that his own political party in the U.S. Senate recently failed to pass a border security bill that would have helped secure the border. Hovde didn't discuss the root issue why Milwaukee activists wanted to defund the police, which seemed that he didn't agree to defund the police.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Also King confirmed to those attending the roundtable discussion that during a previous interview, that he would "not allow Milwaukee to become a sanctuary city because it would destroy Milwaukee, if it becomes a sanctuary city...we got to make sure there are none in Wisconsin that's because the robbery and crime starts to go up," referring to a high immigrant crime wave. In other words, King failed to recognize that Milwaukee doesn't have to be a sanctuary city to have high crime, since Milwaukee already has a high Black crime rate.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Both Hovde and King didn't offer any concrete solutions nor did they focus on their own campaign platforms that would attract the Latino vote for the Republicans. The majority of the Latino votes in the Southside for decades have been for Democrats. Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee have a history of voting for Democrats.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The City of Milwaukee Mayor's race is nonpartisan.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">It seems that Hovde hasn't committed to supporting a comprehensive immigration reform bill with a path to U.S. citizenship for more than 11M undocumented immigrants that crossed the border without seeking asylum and his campaign website hasn't been updated yet to reflect that his own Republican Party U.S. Senators refused to recently pass (blocked) a bipartisan border security bill because Trump told them not too. It won't be until 2025, when the U.S. Congress can address the border security issue. In other words, the Republican Party doesn't want border security and want the border to remain open for countless of asylum seekers to be processed and become a burden to taxpayers, so they can use it as a political campaign issue.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">King confirming that he doesn't want for Milwaukee to become a sanctuary city because it brings a high immigrant crime rate, can be perceived as being an anti-immigrant candidate for mayor, it doesn't look like many Latinos in the Southside of Milwaukee would vote for neither of them.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Attempts by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. Hinman in Walworth County and other defendants, Waukesha Police Department, Waukesha County, Walworth County, Walworth County District Attorney's Office in Wisconsin on early November 2023. (<a href="http://hispanicnewsnetwork.blogspot.com/2023/11/wisconsin-defendants-from-walworth-and.html">http://hispanicnewsnetwork.blogspot.com/2023/11/wisconsin-defendants-from-walworth-and.html</a>)</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The federal Civil Rights lawsuit against Detective Hinman and defendants details all the alleged illegal acts committed in a conspiracy to frivolously file criminal charges against Coronado, Xian and Julie Valadez for interfering with child custody of other parent and party to a crime, which in Wisconsin is a felony offense.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">In the federal lawsuit case against Detective Hinman, the Civil Rights lawsuit claims that Hinman intentionally filed a false police report that was included in Delevan Police Department documents sent to the Canada Border Services Agency in an attempt to coerce immigration officials in Canada to hold both Xian and Valadez for at least 9 weeks in immigration detention, they were eventually released pending asylum status. The documents released to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) by Xian and Valadez who now live separately in Canada (while seeking asylum) showed that Detective Hinman had filed a police supplement report charging both Xian and Valadez with kidnap minor to sexually assault dated March 1, 2023, which also showed that they were booked. However, HNNUSA learned that both Xian and Valadez were not in Wisconsin when Julie's 15-year-old son, Ethan Valadez decided to run away in early January 2023 from his abusive father. Xian and Valadez were never charged with kidnap minor to sexually assault in Walworth County, indicating it was a fraudulent police supplement report by Hinman. When Coronado was taken into custody in March 2023, she was facing three felony charges, but two felony charges were eventually dropped. She was held at the Walworth County jail on a $100,000 cash bail for months, even when she wasn't a flight risk, nor a danger to the community and had no criminal history in Wisconsin. Hinman remains in active duty at the Delavan Police Department, despite that he filed a false police supplement report against both Xian and Valadez, which the Walworth County District Attorney's Office has failed to criminally charge Hinman for filing a false report and the Delavan Police chief has also failed to hold Hinman accountable for his alleged criminal act.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Det. Hinman's actions was a mere attempt for him to push for the extradition of Xian and Valadez to Wisconsin without the U.S. State Department and U.S. Department of Justice involvement in the case. A City police detective does not have the federal authority to personally seek extradition of alleged wanted suspects living in another country without the U.S. government initiating an extradition request.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">This whole debacle of injustice against Coronado, Xian and Valadez began when Waukesha County family court Judge Michael J. Abrahamian decided to illegally place the Valadez children with the abusive father, Ricardo Valadez, a former pastor and restricted Julie Valadez from having sole or joint custody. Julie filed an appeal in State Court and won, but Judge Aprahamian ignored the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals decision that he illegally placed the Valadez children with the abusive father. Aprahamian eventually recused himself from the Valadez divorce case and Waukesha County family court Judge Ralph M. Ramirez who was assigned the divorce case also ignored the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals decision as well and kept the Valadez children with the abusive father. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Julie filed a Petition For Writ Of Mandamus And Memorandum on March 23, 2023, with the Supreme Court of the State of Wisconsin. The petition writ cites multiple state and federal laws that Judge Ramirez violated during the proceedings in the Valadez divorce case including his illegal decision to give Ricardo Valadez, the known abuser full custody, who was also caught making a false statement in the course of the case and wasn't charged for lying in court, according to court transcripts in the divorce case. In June 2023, the State Supreme Court denied Julie Valadez's Writ of Mandamus.
