Jochman admitted to having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old.

Appleton, WI - On Monday, Tyler A. Jochman, 19, of Appleton was charged with one felony count of 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child under 16 and one misdemeanor count for having sexual contact with a child over 16. Jochman resigned from the Appleton Police Department Explorer Program Post 9925 on Monday, which teens between the age of 14 to 21 as auxiliary community non-sworn and unarmed officers. The part time program was created for teens interested in becoming future sworn officers. Jochman was a captain in the police explorer program and began the program in June 2013.
A girl 15 and 17 admitted of spenting a night with Jochman in April and having sexual contact with him during the night. The 15-year-old girl who met Jochman through the older girl told authorities that she felt compelled to having sex with Jochman because of his rank and influence in the police program.
Once the Appleton Police Department became aware of both sexual assaults on May 8, they contacted the Outagamie County Sheriff Department to investigate the allegations. Jochman was arrested on Friday.
Jochman appeared in court on Tuesday and posted a $5,000 bond.
