Huerta was allegedly paid by approval of the Florida Governor's Office to falsely lure undocumented Venezuelan immigrants including children to travel from Texas to Florida with the promise of jobs waiting for them, which the immigrants later learned that it was a lie after ending up at Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts to fend for themselves with no jobs or money.

Washington, D.C. - On Wednesday, Domingo García, the National LULAC President offered another $5,000 reward increasing the amount to $10,000 for any information leading to the whereabouts, arrest and prosecution of Perla H. Huerta, 43, of Tampa, Florida, an ex-U.S. Army medic and former Army counterintelligence agent, with a last known address of 5311 Bayshore Blvd in Tampa (the Tampa property tax roll shows the owner(s) are Wilbur Perla Haydee, real estate account #A1344570506), who was allegedly paid by Florida Governor's Office approval to falsely lure 48 undocumented Venezuelans to travel to Florida from San Antonio, Texas with the promise of three months of jobs, free housing, food and healthcare waiting for them. The immigrants who were victimized by Huerta and Governor Ron DeSantis (R) Office have filed a federal lawsuit against DeSantis and others connected to the intentional deception (lying) of Venezuelan asylum seeking refugees between September 12-14, 2022 to travel from San Antonio, Texas to Florida with the promise of jobs, according to the federal lawsuit.
García stated, "She (Huerta) is a migrant political predator, and the prime suspect wanted (Bexar County) in the migrant bounty ring linked to the alleged kidnapping-by-deception of dozens of men, women, and children on September 12-14, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas, and paid for by Florida taxpayer dollars.
According to other news reports, the undocumented immigrants were flown from Texas to Florida and then to North Carolina and final destination to Martha's Vineyard. The total estimated flight cost for the State of Florida was more than $615,000.
García on Wednesday also called for the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate DeSantis and Gregg Abbot, (R), the Governor of Texas for federal criminal and civil rights violations.
