GoFundMe Account Created For 61-year-old Woman Severely Injured In A Milwaukee Southside Hit-and-run September Incident, Unknown Driver Sought By Police


Police continue to search for suspect(s) that struck a 61-year-old woman in a hit-and-run incident on September 21st at the 1600 block of W. Lincoln Ave. as she crossed the street.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On Thursday, the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) confirmed that the September 21st hit-and-run suspect(s) that struck a 61-year-old woman as she crossed the street at the 1600 block of S. 16th Street is still being sought. No arrest has been made in this hit-and-run case. MPD released the following statement on Thursday, "MPD continues to seek the unknown vehicle and driver involved in this hit-and-run crash."

Milwaukee police are still looking for the unknown driver of a dark maroon Acura who was heading along S. 16 Street and made a left turn heading Eastbound on W. Lincoln Ave. without stopping for a 61-year-old female pedestrian who was struck by the vehicle while she crossed the street. The 61-year-old victim was identified as Tina Feiertag who is seen in a nearby outdoor surveillance camera being struck by the vehicle and the impact made her body fly across the street. 

The unknown driver of the vehicle kept going without stopping. Another driver stopped and exited her vehicle to aid the injured woman.

A nearby surveillance video camera caught the hit-and-run incident on September 21st and was posted on Facebook by Eddy Lettec. 

Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned that a GoFundMe account was created on October 5th by Theresa "Teri" Feiertag who claims that her aunt was the 61-year-old female victim that was struck by a hit-and-run driver on September 21st and needs help for medical expenses. The GoFundMe account so far has raised $1,250 from the $8,500 goal, according to Feiertag's GoFundMe post.

Feiertag posted on the GoFundMe account, "Hi, my name is Teresa and I am raising funds to help with my aunt's medical expenses from this horrific pedestrian hit-and-run accident that she was the victim of. She has several injuries from this and the medical bills are piling up. If you are able to help by donating to this fund, it is beyond greatly appreciated. Also, the driver is still out there somewhere. So if you see this maroon Acura, please call the Milwaukee Police department. Thank you
so much."
