61-year-old Feiertag who survived a hit-and-run incident in mid September at S. 16th Street and W. Lincoln Ave. is now facing more than $175,000 in mounting medical bills.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, Tina Feiertag, 61, told Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) that she is facing more than $175,000 in mounting medical bills and not counting the 21 days of rehabilitation care that she went through. Her insurance covers a fraction of the bills, which Feiertag says other pending medical bills and expenses haven't arrived yet for collection.
Feiertag is now gradually recovering at home because her insurance just covers so many days to be at the hospital.
Feiertag spent 11-days in at Froedtert Hospital, which cost a total of $57,127 (or $5,193 per day) just for the room, not counting other medical treatment and provided care including medication.
The rehabilitation medical care bill for her 21-days of treatment hasn't arrived yet for collection, according to Feiertag and she is now worried how she will pay for all the medical and rehabilitation treatment bills.
So far, Feiertag says that more than $175,000 of medical bills are due. Her niece Teri Feiertag created a GoFundMe account of $8,500, but has only raised $1,200.
Milwaukee police previously confirmed that the suspect(s) involved in Feiertag's hit-and-run incident on September 21, 2022 at S. 16th Street and W. Lincoln Ave. in Milwaukee are still being sought. Police are looking for a maroon Acura and the license plates used in the vehicle were not registered to it.
