Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Two burnt bodies recovered from the rubble of a duplex that burnt were identified as María Castillo Cortez, 27, and 1-years-old María Chávez Castillo, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.
The victims were discovered in the rubble of a duplex, a day after it burned down on April 12, 2023 at the 1900 block of S. 19 Street in the Southside of Milwaukee.
Three duplexes were also totalled in a fire that spread and another duplex was severely damaged, the Milwaukee Fire Department reported.
