Washington, D.C. - On Wednesday, members of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) came out publicly to denounce, condemn and asked for the resignation of their LULAC National President Roger C. Rocha Jr. for sending a letter to praise President Trump in support of his latest immigration reform plan. Rocha wrote, that Trump is "setting out a reasonable framework on immigration reform and border security."
An online petition calling for Rocha to immediately resign was initiated by LULAC members.
Trump's latest immigration reform was condemned by The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, a coalition of 45 of the nation's most preeminent Latino advocacy organizations, which is offended by and condemns the immigration framework released by the White House. Trump's announcement in September to end Obama's DACA program on March 5, 2018 caused the dilemma today of trying to find a solution for 800,000 DREAMers. Since September, at least 16,000 DREAMers have lost their legal status due to Trump's decision to end DACA.
LULAC National Vice President of the Midwest Joe Enriquez Henry and the Midwest Region's six state directors issued the following statement today in response to numerous requests from media for confirmation of LULAC's official position on U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration framework after a letter LULAC National President Roger Rocha sent to Trump was circulated:

"After reviewing the letter posted on numerous news sites that was allegedly sent by LULAC National President Roger Rocha to U.S. President Donald Trump, we can confirm its authenticity and clearly state that the position referenced therein, was never seen or approved by the LULAC National Board or Executive Committee. We look forward to working, as a united organization with clear purpose and direction, with Congressional leadership in crafting a bipartisan solution that will protect our DREAMers and DACA recipients, and puts our nation on a path to fix our broken immigration system."
We do not agree with the position taken by the National LULAC President.
The LULAC National Executive Committee approved the following statement on Wednesday to oppose their LULAC National President Rocha's recent letter to Trump in support of his immigration reform plan. The organization's official position on the DREAM Act is that "LULAC is adamantly opposed to President Trump’s recently released immigration framework which calls for $25 billion in US taxpayers’ money for an ineffectual wall between the US and Mexico, increased detention of immigrants, elimination of 5 out of the 7 categories of family-based immigration visas, and elimination of the diversity lottery visa program for underrepresented countries, among other draconian anti-immigrant policies.
"Further, we share the view of our members, coalition partners, and allies that President Trump’s hurtful, inaccurate, and inflammatory language toward immigrants and communities of color neither advances the interests of the country nor represents this nation’s values."
Brent A. Wilkes, the Chief Executive Officer of LULAC who has worked for 30 years with the organization released the following statement, "...I am deeply saddened and shocked by the letter sent by our organization’s President, Roger Rocha, to President Trump on January 28. In that letter, Mr. Rocha, on LULAC letterhead and without consulting our staff nor board, endorsed the four pillars of President Trump’s immigration reform framework, in a clear contradiction to the policies voted on by our members at our 2017 National Convention.
"My name is the second name that appears on that letterhead, underneath that of Mr. Rocha’s.  For that reason, I want to state unequivocally that I reject Mr. Rocha’s endorsement of the President’s stance on immigration and can state with authority that his letter does not represent my personal views, nor those of many of the dozens of people with whom I have spoken...As for Mr. Rocha’s statement that “We at LULAC will continue to do our part in making your vision a reality,” I want to be very clear:  the “we” that Mr. Rocha referred to does not include me personally, nor in my role as CEO of LULAC."

In other LULAC news, Jaime Alvarado who was an administrator for the LULAC Wisconsin Facebook page was abruptly taken off and his post on National LULAC President Roger C. Rocha Jr.'s letter to Trump was also deleted. Alvarado is now demanding answers why he was censored or suspended for a week from administrators who he named as Eileen Figueroa de Lopez and Darryl Morin.

Editors note: Disgraced LULAC National President Roger C. Rocha Jr. explains his letter of support to Trump and recent immigration reform plan. Rocha says that it was a personal letter to Trump and that he won't resign and possibly LULAC members calling for his resignation will "step back" and get over it. Smh, Rocha shouldn't have send a personal letter with the LULAC National letter head and made reference that "we" the organization was supporting Trump's immigration plan.

Cuevas Quiles lll will serve 4-years in prison and 8-years supervision for four child support non-payment felony convictions.

January 30, 2018

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Nicasio Cuevas Quiles lll, 44, aka, "Nic Jones, Nic Yoda, Quil de Nic" was sentenced to 12-years in prison for four felony counts of failure to support child convictions. Cuevas Quiles pleaded guilty on all four felony counts on October 10, 2017 in a plea agreement that allowed for three other felony counts for failure to support child be dismissed. He filed a post-conviction relief with the Milwaukee County court.
Cuevas Quiles will be incarcerated for 4-years and will be under supervision for 8-years. He will also have to pay $144,043.93 in child support, according to Milwaukee County Court records. Cuevas Quiles was taken into custody on Monday and booked at the Milwaukee County jail until he is transferred to a Wisconsin Department of Corrections Institution (prison) to begin serving his sentence.
Cuevas Quiles has a misdemeanor and felony charges pending and is scheduled for a court status conference hearing on March 6, to face pre-trial on April 16 for one misdemeanor count for theft of $2,500 and one felony count for issuing worthless checks of $2,500.
Cuevas Quiles established the Latin American Motorcycle Association Nomads (LAMA-Nomads) in Florida and attempted to trademark (TM) the Latin American Motorcycle Association (LAMA) named without authorization after the original LAMA motorcycle group based in Chicago, Illinois created 41 years ago by Mario Nieves failed to renew its trademark name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Cuevas Quiles was a fomer member of LAMA, but left the group and tried to take its name after the original LAMA group rejected Cuevas Quiles proposal to video document the LAMA 40th Anniversary Celebration, according to former associates involved in the video project. He boasted to original LAMA groups in Florida that he owned the trademark, but when Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) investigated, he did not owned the LAMA named as he claimed and his lawyer from Minnesota who filed the trademark application removed himself for lack of contact with Cuevas Quiles and the trademark filing was placed on hold and no action taken. Since the trademark incident, the original LAMA group in Chicago refiled for the trademark.
HNNUSA has attempted multiple times to contact Marcos Rodriguez, the President and David Soto, the Vice-President of LAMA National from Chicago, but no response has been received concerning the association's name infringement by Cuevas Quiles and his LAMA-Nomads members.
In brief: Cuevas Quiles TM registered Latin American Motorcycle Association L.A.M.A. on June 20, 2017 and then the name was TM registered by LAMA Corporation from Chicago on August 9, 2017. The TM for LAMA Corp. had expired on August 9, 2013, then LAMA was reactivated in July 28, 2015 and expired on March 13, 2017. Cuevas Quiles didn't include Nomads in the TM filing, according to the USPTO.
The USPTO has posted on TSDR check that on December 12, 2017, Attorney Eduardo E. Drake from Fantastic IP Consulting, LLC, Minneapolis, Minnesota who was representing Cuevas Quiles in the TM filing had withdrawn from the filing due to lack of communication with client (U.S. Serial # 87498322) for request to Trademark "Latin American Motorcycle Association LAMA". Quiles filing on June 20, 2017 is still active, but remains under examination with a "non-final Office action" by USPTO.
Which actually means that Cuevas Quiles doesn't have the exclusive for the LAMA Trademark yet, which he has implied to have, according to the USPTO records filing.
Cuevas Quiles hasn't TM registered the LAMA-Nomads in the State of Florida yet, according to Corporation state records.
HNNUSA noticed that Cuevas Quiles has disabled his Quil de Nic Facebook account, but the  Latin America Motorcycle Association Nomads Facebook page and the LAMA-Nomads internet dot com remained active.
On August 8, 2016, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $340,838.00 was granted for Urban Skyline Investment Company LLC against Riverwest Holdings LLC, which Cuevas Quiles operated.
In September of 2015, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $25,668.25 was granted to ATID Investment LLP against Cuevas Quiles lll and Mind Mill Creative LLC, according to Milwaukee County Court records.
In July 2015, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $11,192.03 was granted for the City of Milwaukee against Cuevas Quiles.
Other judgements in Milwaukee County showed that in at least 18 cases resulted in a combined total of $39,898.47 against Cuevas Quiles, according to court records.
On September 12, 2016, Cuevas Quiles filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Chicago, Illinois - Elvin Alexander Coreas is facing deportation to El Salvador, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Coreas was taken into custody on January 24, 2018 in Chicago by ICE agents after his former boss, Jorge Vidal Gonzalez allegedly called ICE to report him as an undocumented worker. Gonzalez from Riverside, Illinois had hired Coreas for a job and he failed to pay $950 in wages and stole half of Coreas work tools, according to a Facebook video posted on the social network by Father José Sigifredo Landaverde.
Coreas is currently held at the Kenosha County Jail in Wisconsin, which has a $6M contract with ICE to hold undocumented detainees being processed for immigration court hearings and facing deportation.
Coreas had filed a civil lawsuit on December 27, 2017 (Case #2017-M1-040677) against Gonzalez in a Cook County Court First Municipal District for wages not paid, but Gonzalez had called Coreas demanding him to redraw the lawsuit. Gonzalez had threatened Coreas that he would call ICE on him, if he failed to drop the lawsuit, according to Coreas wife, Karla Patricia Sánchez.
Father Landaverde confirmed that a rally will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in front of the ICE Field Office located at 101 W. Congress Parkway in Chicago.
Landaverde says, "We are inviting the community in general to participate in a rally to demand the release of Elvin Alexander Coreas, who is in the custody of ICE, who was unjustly arrested because his employer did not want to pay him, and far from paying him instead he report him with immigration, where He is being detained, and we are calling on the community to help us carry out a rally on Monday and ask for immediate release and reunification with wife and son."
Father Landaverde is also calling for law enforcement authorities to investigate Gonzalez for stealing Coreas work tools and not paying him wages for work done.

Latino Caucus Has No Voting Representative In The Democratic Party Of Wisconsin State Administrative Committee

The amended June 2017 Constitution for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin eliminated any chance for the Latino Caucus and other minority caucuses from having a voting representative in the state Governing Administrative Committee.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

January 25, 2018

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has learned that the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW) under their amended June 2, 2017 Constitution assured that minority caucuses, which includes the Latino Caucus, American Indian Caucus, Black Caucus, Labor Caucus, LGBT Caucus, Rural Caucus, Veterans Caucus and the Women's Caucus be prohibited from having a member of each Caucus as a voting representative in the Governing Administrative Committee today. According to the 2017 amended DPW Constitution, the Administrative Committee would "examine various entities to determine whether such enties qualify as a caucus." A caucus actually represents underrepresented people, according to the DPW, but in this case, minorities are very underrepresented in the Administrative Committee at the state level within the party itself.
In the 2014 DPW Constitution, the College Democrats of Wisconsin were considered the Youth Caucus and had a voting representative in the Administrative Committee, but no other caucus that included minorities were allowed to have a voting representative in the Administrative Committee. In other words, the DPW implemented and followed a Constitutional policy that prevented minority caucuses from having a voting member in the Administrative Committee.
To further the discriminatory practice within the DPW, the College Democrats were stripped from being recognized as a caucus and are now recognized as official arms of the DPW including the Young Democrats of Wisconsin.
In the 2017 By Laws of the DPW Article Xll Caucuses, Section 5, says that a chairperson of each caucus shall be a non-voting member of the Administrative Committee.
When contacted by HNNUSA about the DPW discriminatory practice by the DPW to keep minority caucuses from having a voting representative in the Administrative Committee, Sylvia Ortiz-Velez, the Vice-president of the Latino Caucus in the DPW stated,  "All caucuses represent  traditionally underrepresented people and should all have a vote at the state governing body. It's long overdue and we deserve a voice that comes with a vote. Adequete resources should be provided to invest in our Democratic Party Caucuses."
The DPW should be a party of inclusion instead a party of exclusion.

Franklin, WI - On Tuesday, Franklin High School (FHS) administrators confirmed that a student has been identified and is facing discipline for placing segregated water cooler labels that read White and Colored. A photo of the labels above water drinking fountains was posted in Facebook (FB) by Amber Ariel Smith and circulated quickly and drew condemnation by local groups and parents of diverse students attending the school.
Smith wrote on her FB that students have complained to the school Board about racism and the "N" word being used by students at school to no avail until now that exposure of blatant racism at the school has drawn attention to the school district. Smith's FB posting read, "SO FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL IS BACK AT IT AGAIN. My younger siblings sent this to me from the hallways of their school. From my sisters being called N***** and the school not doing anything about it. To students making a VIDEO about how it's OKAY to say n***** for a presentation and the school STILL not doing anything. To THIS. I swear if the school don't do anything this time I'm driving up there myself . My younger brother and sisters shouldn't have to be disrespected like this and no one doing anything about it. Ashley Ammorelle Smith"
School administrators haven't decided, if the student involved will be expelled from the school or have released any information whether other students were also complicit in the racially motivated incident. A statement released by the FHS says, the "inappropriate and racist message...was in no way part of any school project, curriculum or initiative...This act of intolerance by an individual does not represent the values of Franklin High School or the approximately 1700 people who teach and learn here everyday. The display was offensive, hurtful, and wrong..."

That woman who was a witness as well of the incident was also arrested by police. She called the cop "a f_cking scumbag" and no information is available, if she was also released.

Brown dodged multiple blows from the man who got a microphone stand and swung it at Brown several times and then he grabbed a stool and threw it at Brown. Several men from the audience went up on stage and neutralized the incident. Brown later posted on Facebook that an unidentified crazy man was not being heckled, but that he had "just got up and lost his mind". Brown reported no injuries, but complained about a lack of security at the Comedy House.

Wisconsin State Republicans Donated To Southside Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West Re-relection Campaigns

West accepted donations for her re-election bids from Republicans.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

January 19, 2018

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee County Election Commission reported that Supervisor Peggy West representing the 12th District in the Southside received $500 from Sally Sprenger who operates ANEW Health Care Services, which has a contract with Milwaukee County to provide services to County residents. The donation that West reported in her finance report for the January 18, 2018 period is in direct violation of Milwaukee County Ethics Code 9.05(2) (k) & (l).
Sally is married to Gary Sprenger who are both known Republicans and have contributed thousands of dollars to Governor Scott Walker (R) and other Republicans including Supervisor West who seems to be running as a Progressive, but is rarely seen among the circle of active Progressives in Milwaukee County.
Supervisor West is currently Chairwoman of the Finance & Audit Committee and is a member of the Judiciary, Safety & General Services Committee, according to the Milwaukee County Board website.
Supervisor West has received more than $2K since 2011 from the Sprenger couple, according to Blogging Blue dot com. The Blogging Blue in 2013 reported, "Coincidentally (or not coincidentally, depending on your perspective), Sup. Romo West just so happens to be chairwoman of the County Board's Health and Human Needs Committee, the very committee that has direct oversight of Milwaukee County's Family Care program. What's more, ANEW provides the kind of community-based services that Sup. Romo West has recently been pushing/promoting in public forums.
What's really notable about the thousands of dollars Gary and Sally Sprenger have contributed to Peggy Romo West's campaign is that she appears to be the only Democrat and the only County Supervisor (in a county they don't live in, mind you) that the Sprengers have contributed to. I don't know about you, but that certainly seems curious."
Supervisor West is running for re-election in a non-partisan race in the predominantly Democrat Milwaukee County 12th District and has received the endorsements for re-election by Milwaukee Aldermen José G. Pérez and Ashanti Hamilton (President of the Common Council); State Senators Lena Taylor (D) and Latonya Johnson (D); State Representatives JoCasta Zamarripa (D), Christine Sinicki (D) and David Bowen (D), and U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D); Milwaukee County Judge Pedro Cólon and Milwaukee Municipal Judge Phil Chavez.

(Updated)

Waukegan, Illinois - On Monday, Margaret Carrasco, the President of the Fiestas Patrias confirmed that she filed a criminal complaint with the Waukegan Police Department (WPD) alleging that school officials from the Lyon Magnet Elementary School, 800 S. Elmwood Ave. failed to report to authorities allegations of inappropriate touching of children and porno photos as required by state law. According to Carrasco's complaint, the Waukegan Public School Superintendent Theresa Plascencia; Amanda Pryce, the Lyon's School Principal and three other officials including an attorney failed to report "inappropriate sexual "incidents" and 115 porno photos" to authorities on the first week of December 2017. Carrasco sent the complaint to the WPD on January 10, 2018 after no action by school officials had taken place. Several families had complained to the Lyon's school officials, but nothing was done, according to Carrasco.
Carrasco also confirmed that the WPD acted quickly when they received the complaint and notified the Lake County Attorney General's Office who launched an investigation as well.
Carrasco wrote in the complaint that at least five students might be victims of "sexual abuse/porno" and that the school officials didn't take any action as "a cover-up".

Videos: Parents of a student at Lyon Magnet Elementary School told the Waukegan Public School Board that their son and other students were exposed to pornographic images. The father had requested a list (history) of what was logged in and still hasn't received any list or information for 30 days, counting the day he spoke in front of the Waukegan Public School Board.

In this video, a mother told the school board members that pornographic images were exposed to her son and other students.

 (2) http://bit.ly/2n03sNw
In this video, the mother says, a male student on second grade in 2016 had inappropriately (sexually) touched multiple female students. Nothing was done by school officials or if parents were notified of the incident that could possibly involved their daughters. This year they moved him to a different class, which my daughter attends, according to the student mother.

Father confirmed he will file a complaint against teachers and so far, a list or history of the computer log in to websites hasn't been released by the school Board.

Update: Nicolas Alatzakis, the Chief Public Information Officer for the Waukegan Public School District released the following letter sent to parents regarding the article published by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. about the Lyon Magnet Elementary School.

"I am writing to you today because of concerns that have been brought to my attention by several Lyon parents regarding false information that has been posted on the Internet and is circulating in the community.
"A thorough investigation was conducted concerning the intentional misuse of technology by a few Lyon students in early December of 2017.  The District and its contractors use multiple, overlapping and currently available “state of the art” technology filters to block staff and student access to inappropriate websites via District computers and technology; however, no system is capable of preventing all access to publicly posted images of partially nude figures.  Although many people would find such pictures (as are commonly found in media publications, such as newspapers, common magazines, and publicity photos) to be offensive, others do not and banning the publication of such photos is not legally possible.  Thus, the community or artistic standards that are applied by screening or blocking technologies are open to debate and some exploitation. In this case, when the students’ off-task misconduct was detected, the teacher took appropriate steps to stop the students’ misbehavior, limit future computer access and to impose consequences.  There is no evidence of misconduct or neglect by Lyon staff, inappropriate touching of or by staff or students, or a failure to comply with State law pertaining to mandatory reporting obligations.
"Modern technology is a two edged sword.  It opens up opportunity for appropriate learning, and it affords curious youth the opportunity to exploit technology to explore subjects we would prefer they avoid.  The claim by critics that there were inappropriate sexual incidents involving the  touching of children is false, misleading and disturbing, because the facts are so different from the charges.
"We share this message with you today in the spirit of transparency, to dispel persistent rumors and to allay any fears and alarm you may have felt.  I appreciate everyone's understanding in this situation, and thank you for your continued support of Lyon Magnet.  Please accept my assurance that our vigilance is continuous and our concern for the safety and well-being of your children in all regards remains one of our highest priorities."

So far, the Waukegan Police Department nor the Lake County Attorney General's Office have not released any information regarding the allegations made by Margaret Carrasco concerning the Lyon Magnet Elementary School. Carrasco says that she recorded a video where family members publicly complained to the Waukegan District School Board during a meeting concerning the allegations made involving their kids.

City of Milwaukee Massive Cover-up Of Toxic Lead Lateral Testing Data Alleged By FLAC

Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan wants for any employee or former employee  that might have known of an alleged lead lateral cover-up at the City of Milwaukee Health Department to come forward.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Robert Miranda from Freshwater for Life Action Coalition (FLAC), Earl Ingram Jr. and other members of the Black Community held a press conference to call for City of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barret to step down/resign over an alleged cover-up of not releasing data of tests conducted at more than 70K to 90K homes with toxic lead laterals connected to the water main. Mayor Barrett says that water tests were conducted, but the Mayor's Office and the City of Milwaukee Health Department  (MHD) have not released any data. Miranda alleged that the City and Mayor Barrett have failed to release any data of homes tested with lead laterals.
Baven Baker, the Milwaukee Health Department Commissioner abruptly resigned after Mayor Barrett learned that 26K children were tested for elevated lead levels and 3K of those children tested positive per year. Some of the parents whose children tested positive were sent letters by the MHD and thousands were not notified, according to Barrett.
Milwaukee tested twice as much in lead poisoning in 2014 than Flint, Michigan in 2015. In 2014, 8.6 percent of children tested in Milwaukee for lead poisoning were diagnosed positive compared to 4.9 percent of children tested that were diagnosed for lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan in 2015.
Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan wants former employees or current employees from the MHD to come forward, of they know of any activity that led to a cover-up in MHD. A whistle-blower sent an email to the members of the Milwaukee Common Council exposing unfriendly working conditions at MHD and restrictions set for not cooperating or participating at any public or organization meeting inquirin about data concerning the lead lateral issue.
Donovan wants to know when did Mayor Barrett learn about the lead lateral issue and the failure by the MHD to test children and provide data.
Alderman Mark A. Borkowski says that the mandate to stop using lead laterals began in 1986 and it wasn't until 2004 that City Aldermen became aware that they had an issue with lead laterals. Borkowski now says, that at least 90% of all Milwaukee homes could have lead lateral connections than previously reported. Aldermen couldn't confirm, if in fact the City stopped mandating the use of residential lead laterals connections to the water main in 1951.
According to a June 16, 2016 memorandum from Kate Pawasarat, Community Analytics Analyst for the City of Milwaukee Department of Administration Budget and Management Division, she reported the following information.

There are approximately 74,600 properties with lead service lines in the City of Milwaukee.

• Based on property assessment class information, 91.5% of properties with lead service lines are residential.

• Approximately 68,300 residential properties or 54.2% of all residential properties in the City of Milwaukee have lead service lines.

For over twenty years Milwaukee has added a phosphorous compound to its drinking water. The compound coats pipes to control lead corrosion, but recent concerns regarding heavy construction around the city has brought to light that this protective phosphorous compound is being loosened by the pounding of machines breaking apart sidewalks and streets in which many of these toxic lead pipes are located.
The following Milwaukee Southside Aldermanic Districts are among seven with the most toxic lead laterals in homes.

• Aldermanic District 15 - Alderman Tony Zielinski, toxic lead laterals in district 6,089

• Aldermanic District 12 - Alderman José G. Pérez, toxic lead laterals in district 5,585

• Aldermanic District 10 - Alderman Michael Murphy, toxic lead laterals in district 9,166

• Aldermanic District 8 - Alderman Bob Donovan, toxic lead laterals in district 6,361
Total toxic lead laterals located in Milwaukee's Southside 27,201

Unarmed Undocumented Immigrant Riding Greyhound Bus Accused Of Terrorist Threat

So far, no weapon has been found in the Greyhound bus, which the driver also failed to yield immediately for 20 miles to authorities using flashing red and blue lights responding to an alleged passenger threat by a suspect.

Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

January 14, 2018

Wadsworth, Illinois - On Sunday, both the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Racine County Sheriff's Office have not confirmed if a weapon actually existed when several passengers of a Greyhound bus headed to Chicago from Milwaukee claimed that another passenger acting irrational indicated to have. Authorities have not released any information about what triggered an argument and actually happened between Margarito Vargas-Rosas, 33, an undocumented immigrant who reentered the U.S. illegally and several passengers inside a Greyhound bus that led law enforcement agencies from three counties in Wisconsin and one county in Illinois to respond to several 911 calls from passengers riding a bus to Chicago.
According to Sheriff Christopher Schmaling, from the Racine County Sheriff's Office, Vargas-Rosas surrendered peacefully and without incident on early Saturday and that the suspect was unarmed. The suspect threatened to kill deputies and an investigator when he surrendered, according to Schmaling.
The bus was seized and a search warrant was issued to try and locate a weapon inside the bus.
The question has been raised, why is Vargas-Rosas being charged with a felony terrorist threat when no evidence has been found or any cellphone video of the incident recorded by passengers has been turned in to authorities to support such claim. Also a misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct was filed as well against Vargas-Rosas.
Many of the 37 passengers inside the bus didn't even noticed that there was an altercation between Vargas-Rosas and several passengers because most were sleeping. None of the passengers who supposedly reported an altercation to 911 operators didn't even attempt to alert the bus driver to stop after noticing county sheriff's squads attempting to stop the bus. Was it really an intended terrorist act by Vargas-Rosas?, but to even accomplish such threat would be very unusual especially when there is no weapon involved, according to the initial report by Sheriff Schmaling. The initial investigation indicates that it was certainly an argument between several passengers, which some claimed that the suspect threaten to kill all the passengers.
The incident was escalated when the bus driver failed to stop for 20 miles until authorities had to spike the front tires to deflate them in order to stop the bus. What might have been just an argument between passengers, it simply turned out to be a terrorist threat, according to information released to the media by Sheriff Schmaling. No injuries were reported.
The bus driver claims that he thought the authorities were on a training exercise when he saw the flashing red and blue light behind him or that they were trying to stop someone else, so he didn't stop. It certainly is no excuse for the bus driver to have failed to stop when flashing red and blue lights are used by deputies and state police.
Vargas-Rosas will appear in court on January 18, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office in Illinois. Wisconsin authorities are seeking extradition for Vargas-Rosas.
Authorities haven't been able to connect Vargas-Rosas to any terrorist group. He apparently worked at a Milwaukee restaurant, but lived in Chicago.

Update: The Lake County Attorney General's Office (LCAGO) in Illinois was contacted by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. and a request for the criminal complaint against Margarito Vargas-Rosas had been requested. The LCAGO says, that "This is a pending case and we cannot disclose any information.  We also are not currently in possession of the criminal complaint" and that the Racine County District Attorney's Office (RCDAO) in Wisconsin is handling the criminal complaint. The RCDAO has not filed a criminal complaint as of January 17, 2018 against Vargas-Rosas for making terrorist threats, which is a felony charge and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
The RCDAO has filed an extradition request with the LCAGO for Vargas-Rosas.

Margarito Vargas-Rosas Facing A Terrorist Charge For Allegedly Threatening To Kill Greyhound Passengers

Lake County, Illinois - On Friday, Margarito Vargas-Rosas, 33, who resides in Chicago was taken into custody after several passengers on Greyhound headed to Chicago called 911 and told the emergency operator that man had threaten to kill passengers and indicated he had a weapon. The Greyhound bus left the Milwaukee terminal and was headed to Chicago when Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 911 call and attempted to stop the bus. Also, the Racine County Sheriff's deputies joined in the attempt to stop the bus. Authorities were finally able to stop the bus when they spiked the front tires of the bus to take the air out and it finally stopped inside the Illinois border. Lake County deputies from Illinois took Rosas into custody and is now awaiting extradition to Wisconsin to face a felony and misdemeanor charges for making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that Rosas was in the country illegally and had been deported twice in 2012. Rosas reentered the U.S. illegally again and was residing in Chicago, but was working at a Milwaukee restaurant.
The Greyhound driver told authorities that he thought deputies were in a training exercise or might have been trying to stop some one else to explain why he didn't stop earlier. There were 37 passengers in the bus including the driver and Rosas. The bus driver also told investigators that he didn't notice Rosas getting into an argument with several other passengers.
The bus has been seized to check, if any weapon was hidden inside. Rosas was arrested without incident and he was unarmed. Passengers were searched as well and no weapon was located.
Rosas apparently threatened to kill the arresting deputies and investigators, according to Christopher Schmaling, the Racine County Sheriff in Wisconsin.
Lt. C. Schulman from the Criminal Investigations for the Racine County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) released the following report, On 1/12/18 at approximately 9:50pm, the Racine County Communications Center received a transferred 911 call from Milwaukee County. The caller advised that he was a passenger on a greyhound bus that was en route to Chicago. The caller advised a male on the bus claimed to have a gun and made threats to kill people.
The Racine County Sheriff's Office located the bus S/B on I-94 and a traffic stop was initiated. The bus did not come to a stop until it was just south of the Illinois state line.
A male subject has been arrested and detained as a result of this incident. Nobody on the bus was injured. This investigation is ongoing, according to Lt.  Schulman.
The assisting law enforcement agencies from Wisconsin involved in this incident were the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, Racine County Sheriff's Office, Kenosha County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol, from Illinois were the Illinois State Police and Lake County Sheriff's Office.

January 9, 2018

Wauwatosa, WI - On Monday, Trameka Brown-Berry posted a Facebook (FB) photo of a class/home assignment that she found offensive asking her son who is in the 4th grade at Our Redeemer Church and School, 10025 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa to write "3 "good" reasons for slavery and 3 bad reasons". Brown-Berry apparently wrote an email to her son's teacher Deanna Sapiro who is White complaining about her son's assignment. The assignment post has been shared on Facebook and those reading the class assignment are appalled of what a teacher at a Christian school had assigned to students in the 4th grade.
It seems that Sapiro's class assignment is being viewed in poor taste, racially insensitive and has sparked criticism concerning the assignment for young students.
To many users in FB, there is no good reason for slavery.

Update: On Wednesday, a letter was sent to parents from administrators of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School apologizing for the class assignment in poor taste.

Great Day For The City of Milwaukee, Police Chief Edward Flynn Confirmed Retirement

Chief Flynn shortly after being hired was exposed in 2009 for having an extramarital affair with journalist Jessica McBride who was married to a Waukesha County D.A.

January 8, 2018

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Edward A. Flynn, 70,  the City of Milwaukee Police Chief announced his retirement on February 16 after a ten-year career in the City as the top local municipal law enforcement official. Chief Flynn during a press conference reported the following police crime stats showing a decrease in across the board, -4% lower crime, -16% in homicides, -11% in robberies, -12% of auto thefts and car jackings, -4% of thefts, 2,759 guns seized in 2017 and 25% less of use of deadly force since 2013.
Fynn retires after 10 years, a great day for the City of Milwaukee. Flynn while married was involved in a sexual affair with journalist Jessica McBibe who was married to a Waukesha County D.A. He initiated low prioity response police calls, lower crime reporting stats until exposed to make it look like crime was lowered, when in fact certain crimes stats were declassified as minor by changing severity and etc.
Chief Flynn in July attempted to implement a show me your papers policy for the department, which would have allowed police officers to ask for legal status in the country from suspected undocumented immigrants during traffic stops and investigations. The policy failed after the public opposed it and the Fire and Police Commission failed to implement Chief Flynn's show me your papers standard operating procedure policy.
The Milwaukee Common Council sought action by a measure to be allowed to determine the future of Chief Flynn. Members of the Common Council had been disappointed that Chief Flynn failed to release a U.S. Department of Justice evaluation. Mayor Tom Barrett vetoed the measure for the Common Council to have authority to fire Chief Flynn. The Common Council overrode his veto, but they have to get approval by the state legislature.
The Fire and Police Commission, which is appointed by the mayor has authority to renew a contract and evaluate Chief Flynn's performance. Flynn is scheduled to meet with the Commission on Thursday, but his retirement announcement became public on Monday. Flynn was accompanied by Mayor Barrett when he confirmed his retirement.

Red Cross Released Info That Latressa Turner Had Received $545 In Aid Disproving Her False Claim

Turner has apologized for making false claims that the local Red Cross based in Milwaukee had denied her aid after a three alarm fire destroyed her home in December.

By H. Nelson Goodson

January 6, 2018

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Tory Lowe, a community activist in the African-American community announced that the American Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter (ARCSWC) has released data information about a Client Assistance Card (CAC) with funds totaling $545.00 that was given to Latressa Turner on Dember 28, 2017 after she sought help from the Red Cross. Turner and her sister Latoya Lewis sought the help of Lowe by telling him that the ARCSWC had denied aid after Turner's place of residence was destroyed by a three alarm fire.
Lowe requested for the ARCSWC to release information concerning Turner, after the Red Cross reported that it had provided Turner with several hundred dollars of aid. Lowe had notified the ARCSWC that the Turner family was filing a lawsuit.
Lowe stated in his Facebook account, "I gave the Red Cross 24 Hours to produce a copy of the signature sheet that Ms Turner Signed off on. We were provided a image from a computer screen by the Red Cross...The community has come together to assist the Turner family under the thought that the family had not been assisted. 1,500 dollars was raised and items were donated from the people in our community." Lowe says, that a GoFundme account that raised $1,500 for the Turner family has been put on hold and donations from that people that donated will be refunded. The unfortunate incident with the Turner family will not hinder his work to continue to provide help for people that seek some type of assistance when in need, according to Lowe.
Turner later recanted her false claim and admitted that the Red Cross had actually helped her with a CAC worth $545. She has apologized to Lowe for lying to him. Turner suffers from a mental disability. Lowe says that he will continue to help people in need, but will do a further work to determine that people don't take him for ride again.

One Of Three Kings Expected To Pickup Slack After One Arrested And Other Banned From Entering The U.S.

Latinos in the U.S. are facing a dilemma for Three Kings Day after a leaked government email was intercepted by activists from an underground group known as La RevoLUZion based in the Midwest.

January 4, 2018

Washington, D.C. - On Thursday, the underground network operated by La RevoLUZion has gone into red alert mode after an email between the Trump administration at the White House, CIA, ICE, State Department and U.S.DOJ including the NSA revealed a major conspiracy that led to the arrest of one of the Three Kings and the revocation of a Visa of another for simply being of Arab descent. The leaked government email identified Balthazar as the Black King taken into custody on suspicion of carrying contraband not declared at the border, Melchior, the second King of Arab descent was denied a Visa after the Trump government realized he was Arabic while attempting to pass through U.S. Customs at the Chicago O'Hare Airport and a intelligence report from the CIA indicated he was considered a national security threat and could influence diversity empowerment in the U.S. The third King, Gaspar apparently received the White privileged VIP treatment for the color of his skin by the Trump administration and received an invitation to the White House for January 6. Gaspar declined the Trump invitation, according to the White House fake news website.
Gaspar in a press release on Thursday  stated, that the U.S. government under Trump is violating the traditional Three Kings Day that has been celebrated for decades in the country and the ones expected to suffer are the children, which now due to the current situation are expected to receive and open just one gift. Gaspar also says, that he has to pickup the slack for both Balthazar and Melchior and condemned the Trump administration including government agencies involved for unfair and discriminatory practices.
A female spokesperson for La RevoLUZion in condition of anonymity says, we are doing everything possible to grant Balthazar his freedom and the option to dig a tunnel to free him shouldn't be dismissed at this point. The RevoLUZion group is working with a sister organization known as El Syndicato from Mexico to help smuggle Melchior through the U.S. and Mexico border before the Three Kings Day.
Gaspar confirmed, if Melchior is successful in making his way to the U.S. and Balthazar is granted bail by the feds, it will definitely be another successful Three Kings Day on January 6th.

Redlining Backlash By Milwaukee Residents Forced Local Red Cross To Resume On-site Service

Local Milwaukee Red Cross rescinded their recent redlining policy in 10 Zip Codes that ended on-site service for City victims whose homes were destroyed by fires in both the Latino and Black communities.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

January 3, 2018

Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced that the American Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter (ARCSWC) decided to rescind what was considered by many local residents, community activists and public elected officials as redlining. Mayor Barrett in a press conference on Wednesday confirmed that Patty Flowers, the Regional CEO of the American Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter had rescinded the recent redlining policy and will resume on-site volunteer service to victims at the locations where their homes were destroyed by fires.
"In an effort to continue to serve people affected by home fires, we recently implemented new procedures in Milwaukee that we now understand were insensitive to the communities we serve.  We apologize for this mistake and will immediately return to the way we have responded to home fires in the past, consistent with American Red Cross practices and values nationwide...", Flowers posted on the ARCSWC Facebook (FB) account.
On December 22, 2017, the ARCSWC implemented a policy that ended on-site service to victims that had lost their homes due to a fire in the following Zip Codes, 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53209, 53210, 53215, 53216, 53218 and 53233, according to Flowers.
The 10 Zip Codes that were allegedly redlined by Flowers included both the Latino and Black communities, which caused a major backlash from local residents, activists and public elected officials accusing the ARCSWC of discrimination and lack of diversity training including lack of minority staff.
One of the fire victims that was denied service by the ARCSWC in December was Latressa Turner after their residence was engulfed on fire and destroyed everything they owned on December 28 in a three alarm fire. Tory Lowe, a community activist posted a Facebook video on Saturday about Turner's plight and her allegation that the ARCSWC had denied her on-site service and a Red Cross volunteer never showed up to meet Turner at the 5th Milwaukee Police District Station as Flowers had said they would when called for a face-to-face meeting. Turner even went to the local Red Cross to apply for aid after her home was destroyed by fire and was denied service, according to Turner and her sister, Latoya Lewis testimony in a video posted by Lowe on FB.
Turner temporarily moved in with the Lewis family and had been getting help by members of the Black community and a GoFundme account has collected $1,110 so far for Turner and her 18-month-old child.
The Turner family will hold a press conference on Thursday at 5:00 p.m., 3508 W. Center Street to announce that they will file a class action lawsuit against the local Red Cross for denial of assistance.

Update: During the press conference by the Turner family, Tory Lowe, a community activist confirmed that the Turner family is suing the Red Cross for denying service to them after a three fire alarm destroyed their home. Lowe says, that the Red Cross gets federal funds and they allegedly violated the terms for the funding agreement that they shouldn't discriminate and violate the civil rights of families including the Turner family despite, the color of their skin. In this case, the Red Cross denied aid to the Turner family and so far, the Red Cross nor Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett have reached out to the Turner family, according to Lowe.
Flowers released the following statement after Lowe alleged that the Red Cross received federal funding.
"The American Red Cross has consistently responded to every family in need following recent house fires in the Milwaukee area, regardless of zip code, and we will continue to do so. We disagree with the assertions in this broadcast, as the family in your piece was directly provided with several hundred dollars of emergency financial assistance on December 28, 2017 after a meeting at the American Red Cross office at 2600 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53233.
Further, the American Red Cross is not a government agency, we do not receive federal assistance to support local responses to home fires, nor do we issue federal assistance," according to Flowers on FB.
Lowe in response says, Flowers is lying and that the Red Cross should release the sign-off documentation to show that the Turner family has received several hundred dollars as they claim, which the Turner family says they have not received any funds from the Red Cross or Flowers.
