No Federal Charges Filed Against UNAM Mexican Activist Student

Student was kidnapped by Federal Police without a warrant near a college in Mexico, D.F. and the dramatic scene captured on cell phone video by witness.

November 29, 2014

Mexico, D.F. - On Saturday, Sandino Bucio Dovalí, 25, a philosophy and letters major and university student poet at UNAM was freed around 2:30 a.m. after alleged Federal Police officers dressed as civilians wearing black t-shirts identifying them as police kidnapped him on Friday just after 5:05 p.m. without a federal warrant. Dovalí told media outlets shortly after his release, that he was walking from the university campus when he was kidnapped by Federal Police. They beat him, drove him around the historic district for several hours, threaten to killed him as the 43 Ayotzinapa students and would be sexually violated, a gun was pointed at his head and was dragged outside a vehicle when he was taken against his will, according to Dovalí.
Dovalí was taken to the Federal Ministry building and interrogated by the Federal Attorney General's Office of Organized Crime Bureau (SEIDO), but was released and no charges will be filed against Dovalí. Dovalí who is a member of a student movement #YoSoy132 was picked up and accused of carrying explosives in his back pack. No explosives were found, according to SEIDO.
The corrupt feds attempted to get Dovalí to reveal his passwords for his Facebook and social network sites. They tried to get Dovalí to provide names of other students involved in the student movement calling for Mexican President Enrigue Nieto Peña to resign and for the 43 Ayotzinapa missing students to be located alive.
Dovalí says, that other students have been picked up by the feds in previous days and accused of false charges. The feds told him, that they had orders to pick up other students as well.
The Mexican feds believe that the missing 43 Ayotzinapa students were massacre by Iguala, Cocula municipal police, including the Guerreros Unidos (a criminal organization) and then their bodies burned and ashes placed in garbage bags, which were discarded in a nearby river by Cocula in the state of Guerrero.
The Office of the Federal Commissioner for Security from the Secretary of Governance (Segob) announced on Saturday that the Federal Police officers that arrested Dovalí on Friday has been temperarily suspended after an internal investigation into whether they legally followed protocol in detaining Dovalí was initiated. The suspension of the federal officers followed after video surfaced showing an alleged unlawful arrest of Dovalí who was forced into an unmarked vehicle.
Segob says, all federal officers are expected to follow laws in detaining a suspect and should not violate the suspect's rights. It will also provide transparency of the outcome of the internal investigation it had launched involving Dovalí's arrest, the Segob announced.
Multiple photos showing Dovalí participating on the November 20 melee at the Zócalo have surfaced, but the photos are questionable and one is showing Swiss flags in the background. Dovalí was released after being arrested without facing any charges pertaining to the November 20 demonstrations and melee at the national palace.

Geese At WI Frozen Greenfield Park Pond Alive But Injured

One female geese has a broken leg and it's offspring has an injured wing, according to rescuers.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 28, 2014

West Allis, Wisconsin - On Friday, a Wisconsin Humane Society worker and several people attempted to rescue what was believed to be a live goose frozen on the Greenfield Park pond, but as it turned out, a mother goose had a broken leg or foot and her offspring has a broken wing and was bleeding. Apparently, someone with a kayak attempted to rescue the family geese of three early in the morning and the female goose believed to be stuck on the frozen ice had moved and a steel rod was left behind. Later a Wisconsin Humane Society worker arrived, while several people had gathered at the spot to help and feed the geese.
According to a Facebook posting by Hannah Meyers, she posted, "Update: when I first got there, Junior walked right up to me talking, & probably looking for food. He followed me around so definitely not scared. However, when Scott took the raft out there, Papa blocked Mama in a protective way. Junior ran towards him for food. But eventually, they all moved farther away. Scott noticed Junior has a broken wing that is bleeding so he's probably in worse shape than Mama. Joyce, a volunteer, is going to try & bait them & earn their trust to capture both Mama & Junior. If we scared them too much today we might have lost our chance, so we stopped for now. Food has been left & she's going to check back later & tomorrow. We had to tell people with dogs to stay away so she wants to go when less people are around. We can check the Wisconsin Humane Society Facebook page or call for an update. Whew! Stacy Krafczyk, you may have saved TWO geese."
Krafczyk was the one who spotted the geese on the frozen pond several days ago and sought help for them.
Yesterday, the Milwaukee County Parks department contacted Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) who broke the geese story and said, that a parks unit coordinator would be notified of the situation with the geese at the frozen pond.
The family of geese are roaming in the frozen pond and those helping to save two of them are hoping they can be taken alive and rehabilitated. The geese saving efforts continue to develope.
A humane saving effort by those few people during the Thanksgiving Holiday has given hope for the geese to get a surviving chance to life.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at the Wisconsin Humane Society released the following statement on Saturday, November 29.

Greenfield Park Injured Goose

Over the last couple of days several people have called or e-mailed us to report a Canada Goose that they believed was frozen on or into the ice on the pond at Greenfield Park.

Our Director, Scott, who has 30+ years of wildlife rescue experience, went to the park yesterday morning to see if we could free the bird. He was joined by our Volunteer Wildlife Rescuer par exellance, Joyce. When they arrived the "frozen" goose was accompanied by two other geese, one which appeared to be her mate, and a younger bird which possibly was one of their offspring (but we can't know for sure).

We got our safety gear ready for going out on the ice and planned our approach. (Thanks, "Jason" for your help).

Scott moved slowly out onto the ice, tossing food to the trio, which were about 40 feet from the shore, to get their attention and hopefully gain their trust to allow for a closer approach.

The younger bird readily ate the food but the "frozen" goose and her "mate" were more wary. When Scott got to within about 15 feet of the "frozen" goose she stood up! Great! She wasn't really frozen at all. But she did have a broken leg.

Unfortunately, she was too wary to allow Scott to get close enough to catch her and she limped and then flew much further out, onto ice that was too thin to allow a safe second approach.

Because the bird is so wary, Joyce will offer the bird a little food daily in the hope that we can lure her onshore and get close enough to catch her.

As of today the goose's two companions had left, perhaps to find food or spend some time on open water.

Please don't go to the park and dump food for the goose as this may distract her away from our bait and actually make it harder for us to capture her.

Also, please don't attempt to go out and catch her yourself as it is dangerous to be out on the ice without proper safety equipment and these attempts will only make her warier and harder for us to approach.

Thanks!

Live Goose Trapped On Frozen Greenfield Park Pond And No Rescue From Firefighters

A live goose remained trapped in a frozen pond at a Greenfield Park.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 27, 2014

West Allis, Wisconsin - As of Thursday, a goose was reported trapped in a frozen southwest pond near a building located around S. 118 to S. 124 and W. Greenfield and W. Lincoln at a City of West Allis Milwaukee County Park while attempts to have it rescue by officials go without success. At first, it was reported that the frozen pond was in the City of Greenfield, but the Greenfield Fire Department contacted Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) and stated, "We had not heard of this but then again it is not in our jurisdiction but in the City of West Allis. Only to make it further confusing, Greenfield Park in West Allis is a Milwaukee County Park." According to Stacy Krafczyk, she posted on her Facebook account that a live goose was trapped  in a frozen Greenfield Park pond and that she notified the local fire department, local police, wild life department and apparently they won't do anything to rescue the goose. Another goose has been hanging around its mate, but water froze around the live goose and has been trapped, since yesterday.
The last entry that Krafczyk posted on FB, was that she was going to attempt to walk out to the lake and free the live goose on Thanksgiving Day, but didn't.
HNNUSA contacted Krafczyk and she confirmed that the goose is still alive and it's mate is nearby.

City Files Property Tax Foreclosure Action To Seize Esperanza Unida Building

The Esperanza Unida Board has until January 5 to pay owed taxes to the City of Milwaukee.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 26, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Department of City Development delivered a property tax foreclosure action notice to all the tenants and Manuel "Manny" Pérez, the Esperanza Unida, Inc. executive director that it has filed legal action in a Milwaukee County Court to seize the 611 W. National Ave. property. The foreclosure action notice to Esperanza Unida was sent by Martha Brown, the Deputy Commissioner from the Department of City Development. According to Brown's foreclosure notice, Pérez has until January 5, 2015 to pay over $176,771.60 in property taxes in order to keep the building, which has nearly $700,000 in bank liens.
The 611 property is assessed at $1,948,000, but owes delinquent taxes for 2013, $66,556.24; for 2012, $64,103.63 and for 2011, $46,111.73, a total of $176,771.60, plus incurring tax delinquent penalties per month.
The Esperanza Board in May accepted an offer from an Oshkosh developer to buy the building for $1.3M, but several banks need to release the liens in order for the Esperanza Unida Board to sell the building before the city will seize it for tax delinquency and later sell it for several cents to a dollar. The Oshkosh developer is planning to invest more than $7M to convert the 611 building into a 55-unit apartment complex.
The former and late Esperanza Unida executive director Richard Oulahan took out several real estate mortgages totalling $600,000 ($600K) in loans from Marshall & Ilsley Bank (M&I, now BMO Harris Bank) without a Board Chair signature. Pérez has confirmed that there is no record on file about what ever happened to the M&I loans or how they were actually spent.
Pérez on Wednesday stated, "The 611 international building will either be sold by December 31 or foreclosed on January 5. As I have pointed out before, this is due to inappropriate loans made by Richard Oulahan and the 1994 Esperanza Unida Board, low rents below market rate, and lack of economic development by the City of Milwaukee in the Milwaukee South Side for many years. Under my administration, the building was drastically improved and readied to either increase rents or be sold so, creditors can get paid off. This demonstrates the need for coordinated economic development, urban planning, and workforce development to maximize benefit to workers and businesses."
Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned that the Mayor's office, the Milwaukee Common Council and Esperanza Unida had a partnership to make sure the non-profit organization would receive the support from the city and any financial help to succeed, but the city apparently failed to live up to its partnership with Esperanza Unida. Esperanza Unida had attempted to get the promised help, but Mayor Tom Barrett and the Common Council turned their backs on the non-profit organization. The city has financially invested millions of dollars to helped other non-Hispanic organizations and businesses to economically succeed.

Pedophile Cult Pastor Added To 15 Most Wanted By U.S. Marshals

Pedophile fugitive pastor from Minnesota sought by the U.S. Marshals Service.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 26, 2014

Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Marshals Service has added Victor Arden Barnard, 53, a self-proclaimed pastor who is wanted by the Pine County Sheriff's Office for 59 felony counts that includes sexual assault of teenage and underage girls in Pine City, Minnesota. Barnard was also charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, a federal offense. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Barnard's arrest.
The U.S. Marshals Service reported that in 2000, Barnard secured a large camp site near Finlayson, Minnesota, where he started River Road Fellowship, a church into which he recruited members from all over the country. He convinced several of his followers to allow their young daughters to live with him on the camp site. Barnard then allegedly created a separate housing area on the site and designated it as Shepherd's Camp, where he housed these young girls and referred to them as maidens.
From 2000 to 2009, Barnard allegedly sexually assaulted some of the girls living in Shepard's Camp. After some adult members began questioning his actions, Barnard moved his family and the church to the state of Washington. A number of his followers, including maidens, left with him.
Barnard was charged with the sexual assaults in April 2014, and has been a fugitive ever since. U.S. Marshals believe there is a chance he may have left the country, because he has strong ties to Spain. It is also believed Barnard continues to receive support from his followers and some of his young victims.
"Given the nature of his charges, he poses a significant threat to the community," said Sharon Lubinski, U.S. Marshal of the District of Minnesota.

November 24, 2014

Ferguson, Missouri - On Monday, hundreds of protesters marched demanding justice for Michael Brown, 18, and others ignited businesses, several St. Louis County Police vehicles and looting was reported at businesses, according to police. Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) on Sunday first reported that Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, 28, would not get indicted by a Grand Jury for Brown's murder on August 9. HNNUSA believed a leak from the Grand Jury was circulating in social media and picked it up.
St. Louis County District Attorney Robert McCulloch announced that there was no probable cause to indict Officer Wilson for Brown's homicide. Wilson is expected to get reinstated back into the Ferguson Police Department (FPD), according to the FPD chief of police.
A spectator of the Ferguson melee says, "Why don't we see mass protests by Afro-Americans in comunities like Chicago where a high murder rate on black on black crime is reported?"
About a dozen buildings burning in Ferguson, at least 150 shots fired (no one shot), several St. Louis County Police vehicles totally burned, officers were thrown rocks, but no serious injuries of officers or protesters reported, according to Jon Belmar, St. Louis County Police Chief. Belmar was expecting a peaceful protest and didn't know that Officer Wilson was not going to get indicted. One reported carjacking and the victim was ran over by suspects during the Ferguson melee.
29 people were arrested during the chaotic protest. "We did everything to prevent this...but we will continue with the plan we had...I didn't perceived this would happen," Belmar stated.
In nearby Dellwood, multiple buildings and more than seven cars were set on fire at a car lot.
Media sources reported more than 12 businesses were burned in Ferguson.

Vehicle Plunges Off The Potawatomi Hotel And Casino Parking Structure, Driver Survives

Vehicle can't be removed until Monday, according to Potawatomi Hotel and Casino officials.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 23, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - A vehicle around 1:15 p.m. plunged over from the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino parking structure under construction on Saturday afternoon will remain at the site until Monday when a crane is expected to be brought in to remove the vehicle. The accident has drawn many curiosity seekers attempting to get a glimpse of the accident scene.
The driver apparently accelerated, struck a concrete barrier and went over the ledge landing on some false scaffolding below missing some construction workers. City fire rescue workers were able to secure the vehicle and then guide the driver out of the vehicle to safety.
The driver's fortunate luck at the casino was to survive, according to rescuers.
A ramp from the parking structure was removed and the parking structure is under construction to add additional spaces. The expanded parking structure is becoming an eye soar for Northbound drivers on the 16 Street viaduct. The parking structure should have been expanded on the West side of the Potawatomi Casino instead by the Father Groppi viaduct, which now obstructs the view of what was once the beautiful casino flame and building.
The driver was rescued on Saturday without any serious injuries, according to rescue responders from the Milwaukee Fire Department.

November 22, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Georgia Pabst, a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (MJS) who reported about the Latino community retired by accepting a buyout from the MJS after recent allegations were raised by Robert Miranda, the former Esperanza Unida, Inc. executive director of omitting certain financial facts about the non-profit organization. When contacted by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), Miranda also made other allegations, "Pabst biased reporting during the Aldermanic race between Witkowiak and Perez was a cheap hack job done to the honor of Witkowiak and his political career. She was a friend to some, and a hack to others." Miranda is referring to former Alderman James Witkowiak and current Alderman José G. Pérez who defeated Witkowiak in 2012 in the Milwaukee 12th Aldermanic race.
Pabst was previously contacted by HNNUSA regarding a JSonline article concerning the financial deficit of Esperanza Unida and information provided to Pabst by Manuel "Manny" Pérez, the executive director of Esperanza Unida about several real estate mortgages totalling $600,000 ($600K) in loans from Marshall & Ilsley Bank (M&I, now BMO Harris Bank) to the late and former Esperanza Unida executive director Richard Oulahan dated June 14, 1994 and August 25, 1994. Pabst didn't respond to the HNNUSA inquiry. According to Pérez, there is no record of what happened to the loans that were authorized by Oulahan without board approval at the time they were made by banks.

Nearly 5M Undocumented Immigrants Can Now Legally Register To Temperarily Stay In The U.S.

President Obama confirmed, "If you've been in America for more than five years; if you have children who are American citizens or legal residents; if you register, pass a criminal background check, and you're willing to pay your fair share of taxes -- you'll be able to apply to stay in this country temporarily without fear of deportation."

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 20, 2014

Washington, D.C. - On Thursday, President Barack H. Obama announced his executive order to allow about 5 million of undocumented parents to temporarily stay in U.S. legally of 13 million undocumented immigrants in the country. Those undocumented parents who have U.S. born children or children with legal residence status can temperarily stay in the country without fear of deportation. They must register, pass a criminal background and pay their fair share of taxes. Learning English was not a requirement for Obama's temperary stay executive order.
Obama who gained a reputation for becoming the "Deporter in Chief" has deported the most undocumented immigrants than any former U.S. President. He warned other undocumented immigrants planning to cross illegally into the U.S. that they will easily be deported and anyone not legally in the country with criminal backgrounds would be placed on a priority list to be deported.
His executive order will also allow "high-skilled immigrants, graduates, and entrepreneurs to stay and contribute to our economy."
Here's the complete Obama speech and executive order breakdown for nearly 5 million undocumented parents and immigrants illegally residing in the U.S.

Video: President Barack H. Obama's executive order announcement: http://youtu.be/6Q_Xk66gsRU

THE PRESIDENT: My fellow Americans, tonight, I'd like to talk with you about immigration.

For more than 200 years, our tradition of welcoming immigrants from around the world has given us a tremendous advantage over other nations. It's kept us youthful, dynamic, and entrepreneurial. It has shaped our character as a people with limitless possibilities –- people not trapped by our past, but able to remake ourselves as we choose.

But today, our immigration system is broken -- and everybody knows it.

Families who enter our country the right way and play by the rules watch others flout the rules. Business owners who offer their workers good wages and benefits see the competition exploit undocumented immigrants by paying them far less. All of us take offense to anyone who reaps the rewards of living in America without taking on the responsibilities of living in America. And undocumented immigrants who desperately want to embrace those responsibilities see little option but to remain in the shadows, or risk their families being torn apart.

It's been this way for decades. And for decades, we haven't done much about it.

When I took office, I committed to fixing this broken immigration system. And I began by doing what I could to secure our borders. Today, we have more agents and technology deployed to secure our southern border than at any time in our history. And over the past six years, illegal border crossings have been cut by more than half. Although this summer, there was a brief spike in unaccompanied children being apprehended at our border, the number of such children is now actually lower than it's been in nearly two years. Overall, the number of people trying to cross our border illegally is at its lowest level since the 1970s. Those are the facts.

Meanwhile, I worked with Congress on a comprehensive fix, and last year, 68 Democrats, Republicans, and independents came together to pass a bipartisan bill in the Senate. It wasn't perfect. It was a compromise. But it reflected common sense. It would have doubled the number of border patrol agents while giving undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship if they paid a fine, started paying their taxes, and went to the back of the line. And independent experts said that it would help grow our economy and shrink our deficits.

Had the House of Representatives allowed that kind of bill a simple yes-or-no vote, it would have passed with support from both parties, and today it would be the law. But for a year and a half now, Republican leaders in the House have refused to allow that simple vote.

Now, I continue to believe that the best way to solve this problem is by working together to pass that kind of common sense law. But until that happens, there are actions I have the legal authority to take as President –- the same kinds of actions taken by Democratic and Republican presidents before me -– that will help make our immigration system more fair and more just.

Tonight, I am announcing those actions.

First, we'll build on our progress at the border with additional resources for our law enforcement personnel so that they can stem the flow of illegal crossings, and speed the return of those who do cross over.

Second, I'll make it easier and faster for high-skilled immigrants, graduates, and entrepreneurs to stay and contribute to our economy, as so many business leaders have proposed.

Third, we'll take steps to deal responsibly with the millions of undocumented immigrants who already live in our country.

I want to say more about this third issue, because it generates the most passion and controversy. Even as we are a nation of immigrants, we're also a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable -– especially those who may be dangerous. That's why, over the past six years, deportations of criminals are up 80 percent. And that's why we're going to keep focusing enforcement resources on actual threats to our security. Felons, not families. Criminals, not children. Gang members, not a mom who's working hard to provide for her kids. We'll prioritize, just like law enforcement does every day.

But even as we focus on deporting criminals, the fact is, millions of immigrants in every state, of every race and nationality still live here illegally. And let's be honest -– tracking down, rounding up, and deporting millions of people isn't realistic. Anyone who suggests otherwise isn't being straight with you. It's also not who we are as Americans. After all, most of these immigrants have been here a long time. They work hard, often in tough, low-paying jobs. They support their families. They worship at our churches. Many of their kids are American-born or spent most of their lives here, and their hopes, dreams, and patriotism are just like ours. As my predecessor, President Bush, once put it: "They are a part of American life."

Now here's the thing: We expect people who live in this country to play by the rules. We expect that those who cut the line will not be unfairly rewarded. So we're going to offer the following deal: If you've been in America for more than five years; if you have children who are American citizens or legal residents; if you register, pass a criminal background check, and you're willing to pay your fair share of taxes -- you'll be able to apply to stay in this country temporarily without fear of deportation. You can come out of the shadows and get right with the law. That's what this deal is.

Now, let's be clear about what it isn't. This deal does not apply to anyone who has come to this country recently. It does not apply to anyone who might come to America illegally in the future. It does not grant citizenship, or the right to stay here permanently, or offer the same benefits that citizens receive -– only Congress can do that. All we're saying is we're not going to deport you.

I know some of the critics of this action call it amnesty. Well, it's not. Amnesty is the immigration system we have today -– millions of people who live here without paying their taxes or playing by the rules while politicians use the issue to scare people and whip up votes at election time.

That's the real amnesty –- leaving this broken system the way it is. Mass amnesty would be unfair. Mass deportation would be both impossible and contrary to our character. What I'm describing is accountability –- a common-sense, middle-ground approach: If you meet the criteria, you can come out of the shadows and get right with the law. If you're a criminal, you'll be deported. If you plan to enter the U.S. illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up.

The actions I'm taking are not only lawful, they're the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican President and every single Democratic President for the past half century. And to those members of Congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where Congress has failed, I have one answer: Pass a bill.

I want to work with both parties to pass a more permanent legislative solution. And the day I sign that bill into law, the actions I take will no longer be necessary. Meanwhile, don't let a disagreement over a single issue be a dealbreaker on every issue. That's not how our democracy works, and Congress certainly shouldn't shut down our government again just because we disagree on this. Americans are tired of gridlock. What our country needs from us right now is a common purpose –- a higher purpose.

Most Americans support the types of reforms I've talked about tonight. But I understand the disagreements held by many of you at home. Millions of us, myself included, go back generations in this country, with ancestors who put in the painstaking work to become citizens. So we don't like the notion that anyone might get a free pass to American citizenship.

I know some worry immigration will change the very fabric of who we are, or take our jobs, or stick it to middle-class families at a time when they already feel like they've gotten the raw deal for over a decade. I hear these concerns. But that's not what these steps would do. Our history and the facts show that immigrants are a net plus for our economy and our society. And I believe it's important that all of us have this debate without impugning each other's character.

Because for all the back and forth of Washington, we have to remember that this debate is about something bigger. It's about who we are as a country, and who we want to be for future generations.

Are we a nation that tolerates the hypocrisy of a system where workers who pick our fruit and make our beds never have a chance to get right with the law? Or are we a nation that gives them a chance to make amends, take responsibility, and give their kids a better future?

Are we a nation that accepts the cruelty of ripping children from their parents' arms? Or are we a nation that values families, and works together to keep them together?

Are we a nation that educates the world's best and brightest in our universities, only to send them home to create businesses in countries that compete against us? Or are we a nation that encourages them to stay and create jobs here, create businesses here, create industries right here in America?

That's what this debate is all about. We need more than politics as usual when it comes to immigration. We need reasoned, thoughtful, compassionate debate that focuses on our hopes, not our fears. I know the politics of this issue are tough. But let me tell you why I have come to feel so strongly about it.

Over the past few years, I have seen the determination of immigrant fathers who worked two or three jobs without taking a dime from the government, and at risk any moment of losing it all, just to build a better life for their kids. I've seen the heartbreak and anxiety of children whose mothers might be taken away from them just because they didn't have the right papers. I've seen the courage of students who, except for the circumstances of their birth, are as American as Malia or Sasha; students who bravely come out as undocumented in hopes they could make a difference in the country they love.

These people –- our neighbors, our classmates, our friends –- they did not come here in search of a free ride or an easy life. They came to work, and study, and serve in our military, and above all, contribute to America's success.

Tomorrow, I'll travel to Las Vegas and meet with some of these students, including a young woman named Astrid Silva. Astrid was brought to America when she was four years old. Her only possessions were a cross, her doll, and the frilly dress she had on. When she started school, she didn't speak any English. She caught up to other kids by reading newspapers and watching PBS, and she became a good student. Her father worked in landscaping. Her mom cleaned other people's homes. They wouldn't let Astrid apply to a technology magnet school, not because they didn't love her, but because they were afraid the paperwork would out her as an undocumented immigrant –- so she applied behind their back and got in. Still, she mostly lived in the shadows –- until her grandmother, who visited every year from Mexico, passed away, and she couldn't travel to the funeral without risk of being found out and deported. It was around that time she decided to begin advocating for herself and others like her, and today, Astrid Silva is a college student working on her third degree.

Are we a nation that kicks out a striving, hopeful immigrant like Astrid, or are we a nation that finds a way to welcome her in? Scripture tells us that we shall not oppress a stranger, for we know the heart of a stranger –- we were strangers once, too.

My fellow Americans, we are and always will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too. And whether our forebears were strangers who crossed the Atlantic, or the Pacific, or the Rio Grande, we are here only because this country welcomed them in, and taught them that to be an American is about something more than what we look like, or what our last names are, or how we worship. What makes us Americans is our shared commitment to an ideal -– that all of us are created equal, and all of us have the chance to make of our lives what we will.

That's the country our parents and grandparents and generations before them built for us. That's the tradition we must uphold. That's the legacy we must leave for those who are yet to come.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless this country we love.

Taylor Lianne Chandler Has Been A Female All Her Life And Not A Man As Reported By Tabloid

Chandler says, tabloid and other media reports that she was raised as a male are false.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 20, 2014

Washington, D.C. - Taylor Lianne Chandler, 41, who admitted being with Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, 29, on September 30, the night that he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) has changed her life and posted on her Facebook (FB) account that reports published by a tabloid, magazines and other media sources indicating that she previously lived as a male are false. On Wednesday, Chandler wrote on her FB page, "Two steps forward and 100 steps backwards. That is what life feels like to me right now. In a world of educated people that had all the facts of intersex and what it means and then to sell a magazine say Michael Phelps is dating a MAN. I have cried now for an hour, thrown up anything in my system till I dry heaved. I just can't believe this is happening in 2014!"
Previously Chandler had posted, "Many of you have wondered why I was so freaked out about my relationship with Michael Phelps being exposed. Most of you were very complimentary to me how I was described in some of the first articles. A lot of you had problems with the photos of me that came out. Here is the truth.
"I knew that if him and I were photographed or seen together the media would want to know who I am. That is why I kept it so guarded. To him I said it was because I grew up with a famous father. The truth is I have been living with secrets my whole life.
"I was born intersex and named David Roy Fitch at birth. By the time I could walk and talk I made it clear I was a girl and dressed as one. In my early teens I was medically diagnosed and went on testosterone blockers, at 15 estrogen enhancers. My birth certificate was modified along with my name while I was a teenager, prior to any corrective surgery. I originally changed my name to Paige Victoria Whitney. At 16, I legally emancipated from my family. I had already left home at 15. At 18, I got in trouble twice, once for a bad check and then a DUI. At 19, I thought it would be smart to blackmail someone into giving me the money for my surgery. As soon as I received the money, I was arrested and charged with extortion. I spent 30 days in jail because I was too ashamed to tell my family what happened thinking no one knew. Even though my birth certificate and drivers license said female, they put me in a cell with 3 men and I was raped. I sued the state of Maine and got them to provide training for staff to deal with people on different spectrums of gender. They even created new facilities for housing someone with special needs. I plead and got probation for two years. I went on the talk show and tabloid TV circuit pleading my case for gender rights. After a brutal rape and a horrible trial in 1993, I went away to get my surgery and changed my name to Taylor Lianne Whitney to escape back into anonymity and have a normal life.
"For the last 20 plus years that is exactly what I have done. The problem is I have made friends that I never told and dated and married people that knew nothing of my past. If you don't understand what intersex is, Google it. I was never a man, never lived as a man. No one can say they knew me as a man or produce a photo of me as a man. There are people that remember me as an androgynous child at times because of what was forced upon me. I have dated many celebrities before, none of which knew my past. Michael Phelps and I met on Tinder and clicked. Spending time with him was like a teenage love affair. I have never felt so comfortable and accepted in every way as I did with him. I didn't tell him about my past until threat of the media exposing me forced me too. Yes, I was with Michael the night of the DUI, the story of the Uber and crying and me wanting to stay with him that night are true. A lot of the other things printed are lies. I am probably going to lose him because he is a brand that his team wants to protect and things since he went to rehab came to my attention that didn't put him or our relationship in the best light. He is the first man I ever had intimacy with and felt comfortable and all woman. When he went to rehab I had to go through all this scrutiny and tabloid mess by myself.
"His team at Octagon abandoned me, whether he knows that or not, I do not know. Other then telling people I couldn't have kids I never felt obligated to disclose any part of my past. The only reason this is news is because I was with Michael Phelps. I am Taylor Lianne Chandler; I have always been a female regardless of labels and personal opinions. I am not a transsexual and I have never identified with the moniker transgender, but intersex is certainly on the spectrum of gender along with them. I am telling my story to take the power away from the media and tabloids that want to hurt Michael and I. I will probably lose him, which hurts like hell. I might lose some of you as friends and I will have to accept that. To the men in my past, what you saw, whom you loved, is who I am regardless of labels that the media tries to throw on my back. I am sorry for not trusting and loving you enough to tell you upfront myself at the time."
On Wednesday, Phelps completed rehab and is back home, according to Chandler. She is a former model and stunt woman. Chandler survived a fatal accident and beat all the odds to recover and walk and talk again. She was nominated for the Energizer Battery Keep Going Hal of Fame in 2006 and made it to the top 10 finalist, according to her FB page.
Since she was exposed to media scrutiny, she has gained a new life style and enhanced her professional career with TLC Interpreting & Consulting hopefully with the rich and famous as she deserves it for all the lies printed to discredit her just for tabloids and magazines to generate buck$. Shame on the tabloids and magazines for publishing lies!

Bangkok, Thailand - Ryan Edward McPherson, 31, aka, "Ryen McPherson" and Daniel Jamon Tanner, 33, both Americans are wanted in Thailand for theft of body parts from two Siriraj Hospital museums and making false statements to Royal Thai Police investigators. On Saturday, authorities in Thailand found body parts in three boxes destined to the U.S.
DHL workers in the Pathum Thani province noticed the body parts when the packages were scanned and notified police. Police found a child's skull and severed foot sliced in three pieces in one box and on a second box they recovered a man's heart and multiple pieces of skin with tattoos.
McPherson and Tanner were detained and then questioned by the Royal Thai Police (TRP), but were later released. They told police that the body parts were bought for $100 each at a street flea market, but couldn't remember where. They wanted to surprise some friends in Las Vegas, Nevada, so they attempted to mail the packages to the U.S., police say.
After being released from questioning, they fled to Cambodia. Thai police has informed the U.S. Embassy that they are seeking extradition for both suspects.
The TRP is seeking for INTERPOL to send out a wanted alert in an attempt to locate McPherson and Tanner in Cambodia. The TRP will also seek the help of the FBI in the U.S. to get more information about the suspects.
Police learned that the body parts were stolen by McPherson and Tanner after reviewing video surveillance recording dated November 13 from two Bangkok hospitals with government museums showing both suspects at the museums. They were both registered at the museums as visitors on the same day that they arrived in Bangkok, according to police.
On Tuesday, police issued warrants for the two suspects. McPherson and Tanner are facing up to 7 years each in prison, if convicted and up to $500,00 Thai baht  ($15,120 U.S.) in fines.
McPherson and Tanner produced the controversial Bumfights in the U.S.

November 16, 2014

St. Louis, Missouri - Last week, the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) began to distribute and circulate flyers vowing to use lethal force against any violent protester breaking the law after the grand jury discloses their decision whether to charge a Ferguson cop, Darren Wilson for killing an unarmed teenager, Michael Brown, 18, on August 9. The KKK have self-proclaimed that they are a neighborhood watch operation to protect "All the good people of St. Louis County of all race, color and creeds..." and warned would-be protesters that they will use lethal violence against anyone engage in hurting any police officer, citizen or destroy property citing state law.
The KKK flyer called the protesters seeking justice for Brown "terrorists." The known racist KKK group is exploiting the racial tensions in Ferguson to recruit other racists. Some protesters have alleged that Officer Wilson and other members of the Ferguson Police Department (FPD) might be associated with the local KKK. But no evidence has been revealed to indicate some members of the FPD and Wilson are members or affiliated with the local KKK.
The FPD has indicated that it's ready to reinstate Wilson who is on administrative paid leave pending the outcome of the grand jury decision whether to charge Wilson for Brown's homicide or find that Wilson was justified in killing Brown. Brown was fatally shot at least 6 times, including twice in the head.

Former Co-founder Of El Conquistador Newspaper Surprised That Former Employee Led Heroin Ring In Milwaukee

Ortiz Jr. formerly worked for El Conquistador Newspaper, according to co-founder.

November 13, 2014

Milwaukee, WI (HNNUSA) - On Wednesday, H. Nelson Goodson, the co-founder for El Conquistador Newspaper couldn't believe that a former employee of the newspaper has been named as one of the leaders of a major heroin ring from the East Side of Milwaukee. Goodson remembers Charles Ortiz Jr. as a former employee that worked alongside Goodson while delivering the Conquistador Newspaper in the South Side of Milwaukee. Ortiz Jr. was a well mannered young man who enjoyed the newspaper route and meeting people, Goodson said. Goodson was Ortiz Jr.'s immediate route supervisor at the time.
When Goodson saw a news cast report and showed where Ortiz Jr., one of the leaders of the East Side Mafiosos lived, he noticed that it was the same house where El Conquistador Newspaper publisher Victor Huyke lived with his long time partner María Galarza Ruiz who is related to both Ortiz Jr. and Charles Ortiz Sr.
Huyke had given an opportunity for Ortiz Jr. to work at El Conquistador Newspaper. Goodson also met Ortiz Sr. and he was real social, friendly with people and the Conquistador staff. He would visit Huyke at times at the newspaper. About three years ago, most of the Conquistador staff was related to Huyke.
Huyke took over the newspaper after five other co-founders including Goodson decided to move on. Huyke and the co-founders are credited for creating a voice and a credible news source for the Milwaukee Hispanic community.
Goodson is the administrator for Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) and was a former managing editor and publisher for the weekly Milwaukee Spanish Journal Newspaper. Goodson was also instrumental in helping to start the now defunct Spanish Times.
In college, Goodson managed the student Satélite Bilingual Newspaper at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Satélite later became a Latino community based newspaper and Goodson was one of its managing editors.

● Charles Ortiz Jr., 29, has been charged with five felony counts for possession with intent to deliver heroin and one felony count for possession with intent to deliver cocaine. Bail for Ortiz Jr. was set at $20,000 cash.

● Charles Ortiz Sr., 48, was charged with one felony count with intent to deliver cocaine. Bail was set at $10,000 cash for Ortiz Sr.

LULAC National Unauthorized And Misuse Of Corporate Funds To Pay $120K For Empty Hilton NY Hotel Rooms

LULAC National has paid $120,000 for unused hotel rooms for partisan delegates during last Summer's 85th LULAC National Convention in New York.

By H. Nelson Goodson
November 13, 2014

Washington, D.C. - On Wednesday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned that the League of United Latin American Citizens  (LULAC) National has paid a controversial Hilton New York Hotel bill for $120,000, which none of the hotel rooms were ever occupied during the conference. The Hilton empty rooms were booked for alleged partisan delegates expected to support current termed-out LULAC National President Margaret Moran's candidate Roger C. Rocha Jr. from Texas who ran for national president, but was defeated by Magdalena "Maggie" Rivera from Illinois. Since then, Rivera has been kept from taking office by Moran and her supporters.
Moran and Brent A. Wilkes, the executive director for LULAC National paid the Hilton Hotel bill without the authorization of the LULAC Executive Committee (LULAC-EC). Where did Moran and Wilkes get the money to pay the $120K bill? Well, from the sponsorship and donated corporate funds, according to LULAC National Board members. LULAC even received $86,000 from a member to help hide and cover up the misuse of corporate funds.
Moran and Wilkes are facing turmoil at the reign for misuse of sponsorship funds for partisan support for Rocha Jr. without authorization by the LULAC-EC. The LULAC-EC, which approves financial issues and debts is expected to meet in February. The LULAC-EC doesn't officially recognize Moran as the current national president.
More than $30,000 has been used by Moran to pay for her lawyer fees on several legal cases pending, which were not authorized by the LULAC-EC. Wilkes made the legal payments for Moran, despite lack of approval by the LULAC-EC, HNNUSA has confirmed.
On Thursday, November 13,  Moran and her legal advisor Manuel Escobar are expected to get sanctioned by a Nueces County Civil Circuit judge for not submitting discovery documents as ordered pertaining to a LULAC property located at 2625 Greenwood Dr., in Corpus Christi, Texas that was sold to the Hacienda Senior Housing, LP (HSH) associated with investor Walter Martinez. The LULAC property was sold in 2012 to multiple identities including the San Antonio  Community Development Council, which Escobar was listed as a director and registered agent subject to conflict of interest allegations.
The lawsuit filed in June 2013 claims that Moran and Escobar conspired to commit fraud and failed to notify the LULAC membership, including the LULAC National Board of the sale before the property was actually sold for $1.7M. "After debt transactional fees were paid, LULAC received a mere $250,000," for the property. Moran authorized the sale and signed documents along with Escobar, the LULAC National Legal Advisor before they could get approval by the National Board. "The property sale was kept secret from the National Board and LULAC members," the Rick Dovalina and LULAC v. Moran and Escobar (case 2013ccv-61062-3 in the Nueces County Civil Court at Law Number 3) lawsuit claims.
Ten days after the property was sold, the commercial real estate value market price was $10M. The lawsuit against Moran and Escobar seeks to recover the difference of the market value that was not included in the purchase price. Escobar got $15K in that transaction for legal fees and another lawyer got $150K, according to a National Board member.
Three other valuable properties were coming up for their 30 year free and clear pay off and were destine to be sold without authorization from the membership, but the lawsuit stopped any attempt by Moran and Escobar to sell them. Wilkes apparently knew of the clandestine sale of the property to HSH. Those three LULAC properties were also marked for sale for pennies to a dollar, but Dovalina's lawsuit halted any further sale of any properties.
The LULAC National under the direction of both termed-out President Moran and Wilkes can be jeopardizing the nonprofit federal status for the organization by misuse of funds and the alleged clandestine sale of LULAC property without authorization of the National Board and it's membership.
The City of Corpus Christi also filed a lawsuit against several Texas LULAC Councils under former LULAC National President Rosa Rosales for not fulfilling their promise in 2008 to built an 80 low housing unit project by 2010, which the City of Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Community Improvement Corporation paid them $400,000 to do so and nothing was ever built in the property. The City of Corpus Christi is seeking to get reimburse for $400,000 from the defendants.
Rosales financial transactions between 2008 to 2010 led to an allegation of giving away the LULAC Hacienda Housing project and the Kingsville Manor Apartment complex costing LULAC thousands of dollars in losses.
Moran, Rosales and Wilkes were contacted by HNNUSA for comment, but did not return any response.

Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico - On Monday, the population in the state of Tamaulipas woke up to social network news that both the Zetas and a faction of the Gulf Cartel have ended their feuding war to control the multi-million dollar border town drug routes into the U.S. Hundreds of flyers were circulated throughout the state of Tamaulipas indicating that violence and unjust murders attributed to the drug cartels will stop.
The flyer showed photos and names of both leaders of the drug cartels, Juan Reyes Mejía González, aka, R1, from Los Rojos/Gulf Cartel and Rogelio González Pizaña, aka, El Kelin, from Los Zetas. The new alliance between Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel will enforce the old school principles of the drug cartels, 1. Respect the territory of control by criminal organization, 2. Don't  mess with the population and 3. Respect the families of the drug cartels.
In the flyer, both Los Zetas and the Rojos/Gulf Cartel have agreed to stop the extortion of the population, eliminate quotas to operate businesses, no unjust murders, no kidnappings and those among their criminal organizations who do not follow their policy will be dealt with severely, according to the Zeta/Gulf Cartel alliance.
Los Rojos/Gulf Cartel also operate in the state of Guerrero. On Friday, the federal government announced that the 43 missing Ayotzinapa students were murdered and then their bodies burned to eliminate DNA evidence  to identify the bodies, according to confessions by three members of the Guerreros Unidos (GU), a criminal organization in Guerrero.
So far, 74 suspects and 10 others are being sought in connection with the massacre of the students.
Sidronio Casarrubias Salgado, the leader of the GU and Salomón Pineda, aka, "El Molón" have been arrested. Salgado ordered his men to killed the 43 students, according to some of the suspects in custody.
Cocula Mayor César Miguel Peñaloza Santana was also arrested in connection with the missing students from the Raúl Isidro Burgos school in Ayotzinapa.
On Thursday, José Luis Abarca Velázquez, the former Mayor of Iguala was charged with multiple federal counts for murder, kidnapping and organize crime along with his wife, María de los Ángeles Pineda Villa for the September 26-27 murders of six people, including 4 students, 25 injured students and with the disappearance of 43 Ayotzinapa students. Abarca Velázquez and Pineda Villa are facing between 90 to 190 years in prison, if convicted on all counts.
Gildardo López Astudillo, aka, "El Gil" and Felipe Flores Velázquez, Iguala's Secretary of Public Safety are being sought on federal warrants in connection with the Ayotzinapa student massacre.
The alliance of both criminal organizations, Los Zetas and Gulf Cartel come in the wake when thousands of Mexican students and population have staged protests seeking justice for the 43 Ayotzinapa missing students from Guerrero. The Mexican population has begun a nationwide revolution against the drug cartels and Mexican corrupt state governments, including federal government corruption for the lack of justice for more than 90,000 unsolved homicides by Mexico's warring drug cartels and corrupt local, state and federal police. More than 25,000 Mexican nationals have been reported missing in Mexico. More than 30,000 people have been murdered, since Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto took office.
The National Human Rights Commission in Mexico reported that 20,000 undocumented immigrants from South and Central America are kidnapped and held for ransom by criminal organizations in Mexico every year. In last seven years, more than 70,000 undocumented immigrants from South and Central American have disappeared while traveling through Mexico on their way to the U.S.
Over the weekend, Nieto was implicated of receiving a $7 million dollar home from a wealthy business owner who profited from lucrative state contracts when Nieto was Governor. The same business owner, who owns another company recently won a multi-billion dollar federal contract to built a high speed bullet train with China. But on Friday, when the scandal broke about Nieto's $7M home from the business owner, the federal contract was cancelled by Nieto's administration forcing China to seek compensation for its loss of investment.

Chicago, Illinois - Last week, an online store established to sell vintage WLUP-AM 1000 (LOOP) radio posters and other items to help generate funds for a blog and Facebook account advocating racial disparity, hate and violence targeted at Afro-Americans, Latinos and other ethnic communities, including local law enforcement in the Chicago area has posted a promotional ad of a conservative radio station. The promotional ad by True News USA blog (TNUSA) included the acknowledgement and support for Steve Dahl who recently joined 89 WLS-AM radio, a ultra conservative Republican radio programming station. Dahl also appeared in the vintage WLUP-AM poster offered by the racist TNUSA blogger. The blogger included a U.S. P.O. Box in Chicago as an address to send money to help support his advocacy for violence against law enforcement and ethnic groups. The comments section includes vulgarities that promote violence from anonymous users on most articles, which are copied from other news sources and are slightly changed to include racial and hateful labels.
WLS-AM Radio staff (key team) was contacted about the use of the station's ID and Dahl's promotional ad with TNUSA, but none of the administrators, including Donna Baker, Vice President/Marketing Manager have responded to an e-mail from Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) dated November 6, if they were associated with the racist, hate and violence promoting TNUSA blog.
