The victims were as identified as Juan Alberto Pano Ramos, 24, from Pinotepa Nacional, his wife Alba Isabel Colón, 17, from Collantes and 7-month-old Marco Miguel Pano Colón.
The Oaxaca State Criminal Investigation Agency (OSCIA) reported, that on Friday around 8:40 p.m., Ramos and his family were fatally shot just outside of the Vig's store located across from the Bachillerato Tecnológico de Agropecuario by unknown suspects. Ramos was carrying his son in his arms when they were fatally shot.
The suspects shot the victims with a 38 Caliber weapon and then fled from the scene, according to the OSCIA.
Ramos and his family were residing at the Porvenir de Pinotepa neighborhood near the corner of Oriente and 14 Poniente Streets. Ramos sold fish tacos at the central marketplace, according to authorities.

In another unrelated homicide iinvestigation, the OSCIA reported that on Friday, a 14-year-old girl and her 40-year-old father were fatally shot in the municipality of Miahuatlan de Profirió Diaz in Oaxcaca by unknown suspects. The 39-year-old mother of the girl was the lone survivor and was transported to a local medical center for treatment of her gunshot injuries.

Update: The OSCIA investigation indicates that Juan Alberto Pano Ramos, 24, and his family, a teenage wife and son were walking along with Isidro González Geronimo who used the aliases Victor Enrique de la Paz Velasquez "El Isis" when they were targeted and shot by unknown suspects. Apparently, Ramos worked for El Isis who operated a drug distribution business disguised as a Tortilla making business. OSCIA confirmed that El Isis was also shot along with the Ramos family and was taken to a local hospital and dropped off by the door. El Isis later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. OSCIA went to where Isis resided and found a black SUV believed to have been used to transport Isis to the hospital. At the Isis residence, four suspects were taken into custody, Abacuc Quiroz Riveros, 41, from El Carrizo, Manuel García Casanova, 47, from Marquelia Guerrero and Isis's brother Juan Carlos González Gerónimo, 36, also from Marquelia Guerrero. The suspects worked for El Isis in the drug operation and the OSCIA claims that a rival criminal group located El Isis walking along with the Ramos family and ambused them.

FBI And Best Friends Setup Alleged Milwaukee Terrorist Samy Mohamed Hamzeh

Family members of alleged Milwaukee terrorist created a Facebook page to tell their side of the story.

Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

January 28, 2016

Milwaukee, WI -- The family of alleged Milwaukee terrorist, Samy Mohamed Hamzeh, 23, have created a Facebook (FB) page "Samy Hamzeh is not a terrorist" to tell their side of the story and alleged that the FBI and his two best friends (FBI informants) set him up and even brain washed him for five months into plotting a massacre and buying machine guns to commit mass murder in Milwaukee. Family members say, that Hamzeh's best friends are the real criminals in this case. Hamzeh worked several jobs and helped support his family and wasn't to religious or an extremist as being claimed by the FBI. He was recently terminated from his latest job.
According to the family, Hamzeh was led to believe he was part of a mass murder plot to kill at least 30 defenseless victims at the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center located at N. Van Buren and E. Wells Street.
Hamzeh appeared in federal court and told the judge that the allegations and charges against him were not true and he wasn't guilty. Hamzeh, if convicted is facing 10 years in a federal prison for possession of several machine guns and silencers on each count.
The federal criminal indictment included transcript's of FBI recorded conversations between Hamzeh and his two best friends.

● "We want two machine guns, you now have one, so we want two more, and we need three silencers, that's it. Find out how much all together these will cost, and then we will march."

● "We want two, like the machine gun you have. . . . And we need silencers. . . . Three, yes three silencers, and that's it."

● ". . . each one has a weapon, each one has a silencer gun, the operation will be one hundred percent successful. I am telling you, to go without silencer gun, you will be exposed from the beginning."

Hamzeh also explained to CS1 and CS2 (his best friends) that, when they executed the attack at the temple, one of the three of them would have to stay at the main door while the others went upstairs to kill the people who would be meeting there:

● "one of us will stay at the door at the entrance and lock the door down, he will be at the main door down, two will get to the lift up, they will enter the room, and spray everyone in the room. The one who is standing downstairs will spray anyone he finds. We will shoot them, kill them and get out. We will walk and walk, after a while, we will be covered as if it is cold, and we'll take the covers off and dump them in a corner and keep on walking, as if nothing happened, as if everything is normal. But one has to stand on the door, because if no one stood at the door, people will be going in and out, if people came in from outside and found out what is going on, everything is busted."

● "As long as the one on the door understands he has bigger responsibility than the others. For your information, he has to take care of everyone around him, the comers and the one that wants to go, he has to annihilate everyone, there is no one left, I mean when we go into a room, we will be killing everyone, that's it, this is our duty, as for the one at the door, he must have 20/20 eye vision and always alert for all the traffic around him."

● "I am telling you, as I was saying, all three of us get in together, one will go, to the one that is staying at the reception . . . . If she was alone, it is okay, if there were two of them, shoot both of them, do not let the blood show, shoot her from the bottom, two or three shots in her stomach and let her sit on the chair and push her to the front, as if she is sleeping, did you understand? Then stay downstairs, the other two will take the lift to the third floor, go directly to the room, open the door, shoot everyone, move fast even avoiding the lift and take the stairs running down. . . . Using the stairs, the third one on the door will notice us coming down, we will go out together. No one sees anything and no one knows anything. We leave, as if there is nothing, no running, no panic, just regular walking. We'll get three head covers with three holes in them. . . . we'll get in all three of us together, the minute we get in, we shoot whoever is in front of us, and all have to be eliminated. One stays down and two will go up quickly.

● "And we will eliminate everyone."

Hamzeh also explained what his objectives were in committing the attack:

● "I am telling you, if this hit is executed, it will be known all over the world. . . . Sure, all over the world, all the Mujahedeen will be talking and they will be proud of us. . . such operations will increase in America, when they hear about it. The people will be scared and the operations will increase, and there will be problems all over, because more than one problem took place, and this will be the third problem, this will lead to people clashing with each other. This way we will be igniting it. I mean we are marching at the front of the war."

● "They are all Masonic; they are playing with the world like a game, man, and we are like asses, we don't know what is going on, these are the ones who are fighting, these are the ones that needs to be killed, not the Shi'iat, because these are the ones who are against us, these are the ones who are making living for us like hell."

● "Thirty is excellent. If I got out, after killing thirty people, I will be happy 100%. . . . 100% happy, because these 30 will terrify the world." The federal indictment stated in transcripted conversations between Hamzeh and the two FBI informants.

Samy's brother, Loui Hamzeh posted the following comment on FB (original posting grammar was kept), "My brother is a grate loving person he love's his family friends and country since he was a young boy he wanted to live and stay in the States he is a hard worker and was working two jobs most of his time's, as any young man he without an education he tried to find a god job that provides him good wage, his family moved in with him before couple of years and he was the only worker in the house he bought food paid the bills and provided all what his family needed the only problem he had is that he trusted people too fast as you can see the two unmentioned FBI informers that everyone is talking about are Sami's best friends these two sick people gained my brother's trust, they where hanging out together for a couple of years, they are the real criminals the deal they did with the FBI was to convince and brain wash him.
"Yes Sami was very sensitive about what's happening in the west bank and he used to express his feelings in front his friends like everyone does, this was the reason he was chosen, a 23 year old boy that has nothing to do except changing jobs and watching action films made him a perfect target, ofcorce they needed time to brain wash him, five months of everyday chatting about the same mission will click anybody on.
"The funny thing that Sami dose not know anything about masons, like who they are and what do they stand for, he even visited the west bank several time's before i mean in the heart of Israel nothing happened then why????
"We are a relejus Muslim family so we know that Islam forbiddes killing, a Muslims never hurts people animals or even trees its a peaceful religion, so was Samy a peaceful man, lots of people new Samy all around ask them, im sure they will tell you, he never was arrested or conducted a crime, i know that he is lost now he needs help someone to hold his hand and show him the right way.

please give us our son back."

Mass Shooting Planned By Samy Mohamed Hamzeh At Masonic Temple In Milwaukee, FBI Claimed

The FBI arrested a suspect who planned a mass shooting as an act of war at the Masonic temple in Milwaukee and wanted to be known worldwide for the massacre. No guns are allowed at the temple.

January 26, 2016

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Acting United States Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad and Special Agent in Charge Robert J. Shields of the FBI's Milwaukee Division announced in a press release that Milwaukee resident Samy Mohamed Hamzeh, 23, has been charged with possessing machineguns and a silencer. Hamzeh was born in the U.S., but raised in Palestine and Jordan. He smoked marijuana and wasn't the religious type, according to acquaintances and co-workers.
According to the criminal complaint, Hamzeh had been under investigation since September 2015.  The investigation revealed that, in October 2015, Hamzeh planned to travel to Jordan, enter the West Bank, and conduct an attack on Israeli soldiers and citizens living in the West Bank.  Hamzeh later abandoned those plans and began to focus on conducting an attack in the United States.
According to the criminal complaint, Hamzeh has engaged in extensive conversations with two confidential sources (referred to here as CS-1 and CS-2).  Those conversations, which were in Arabic, were monitored, recorded, and translated by the FBI beginning in October 2015.
During those recorded conversations, Hamzeh explained that he wanted to commit a domestic act of violence and, earlier this month, he settled on a Masonic temple in Milwaukee as his target.
On January 19, 2016, Hamzeh, CS-1 and CS-2 took a guided tour of the Masonic temple, during which they learned meeting schedules and where people would be located during meetings.  In a recorded conversation after they left the temple, Hamzeh, discussed his plans with CS-1 and CS-2.  In that conversation, Hamzeh reaffirmed his intention to commit an armed attack on the temple and discussed in further detail how they would carry out the attack.
Hamzeh said that they would need two machineguns so that they each would have one (Hamzeh indicated that one CS already had a machinegun), and also said that they would need three silencers:

● "We want two machineguns, you now have one, so we want two more, and we need three silencers, that's it. Find out how much all together these will cost, and then we will march."

● "We want two, like the machinegun you have. . . . And we need silencers. . . . Three, yes three silencers, and that's it."

● ". . . each one has a weapon, each one has a silencer gun, the operation will be one hundred percent successful. I am telling you, to go without silencer gun, you will be exposed from the beginning."

Hamzeh also explained to CS1 and CS2 that, when they executed the attack at the temple, one of the three of them would have to stay at the main door while the others went upstairs to kill the people who would be meeting there:

● "one of us will stay at the door at the entrance and lock the door down, he will be at the main door down, two will get to the lift up, they will enter the room, and spray everyone in the room. The one who is standing downstairs will spray anyone he finds. We will shoot them, kill them and get out.

Then stay downstairs, the other two will take the lift to the third floor, go directly to the room, open the door, shoot everyone, move fast even avoiding the lift and take the stairs running down. . . .

● "Thirty is excellent. If I got out, after killing thirty people, I will be happy 100%. . . . 100% happy, because these 30 will terrify the world."

Hamzeh made plans to purchase machineguns and silencers from two individuals who, unbeknownst to Hamzeh, were undercover FBI agents.  He met with them, along with CS-1 and CS-2, on January 25, 2016.  The undercover agents displayed the weapons and a silencer to Hamzeh, told him that the weapons were capable of automatic fire, and explained to him the functioning of the selector switch that allowed the weapons to fire automatically.  Hamzeh agreed to a price and paid it to the undercover agents, who then handed Hamzeh a bag containing two automatic weapons and a silencer.  Hamzeh carried the bag to the vehicle in which he had traveled to the meeting, and he placed the bag in the trunk of the vehicle.  He then was arrested and has been charged with illegally possessing machineguns.
Acting United States Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad said, "Samy Mohamed Hamzeh devised a detailed plan to commit a mass shooting intended to kill dozens of people.  He also said that he wanted this mass shooting to be 'known the world over' and to 'ignite' broader clashes.  It is difficult to calculate the injury and loss of life that was prevented by concerned citizens coming forward and by the tireless efforts of the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force."
Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Robert J. Shields said, "The arrest of Samy Mohamed Hamzeh is the result of a well-coordinated undercover law enforcement action, at no time was the public's safety placed in jeopardy.  I would like to commend the efforts of the Joint Terrorism Task Force which includes our local and state law enforcement partners in thwarting an attack that could have resulted in significant injury and /or loss of life."
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul L. Kanter, according to the press release.

Madison, WI - The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) is now requiring all Dwelling Contractors in the state to be U.S. Citizens or have legal status to obtain a certification license to get building permits to remodel dwellings and buildings. The newly revised requirement took effect on January 1, 2016. The new WDSPS application for citizenship or legal status in the U.S. reads:

"CERTIFICATION OF LEGAL STATUS:

I declare under penalty of law that I am (check one):
A citizen or national of the United States, or
A qualified alien or nonimmigrant lawfully present in the United States who is eligible to receive this professional license or credential as defined in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunities Reconciliation Act of 1996, as codified in 8 U.S.C. §1601 et. Seq. (PRWORA).
For questions concerning PRWORA status, please contact the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Department of Homeland Security at 1-800-375-5283 or online at http://www.uscis.gov.
Should my legal status change during the application process or after a credential is granted, I understand that I must report this change to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services immediately."
The Wisconsin Department of Commerce (WDC) requires all Dwelling Contractors to be licensed in the state. Two licenses are required in the state to get remodeling or building permits. One requires for a contractor to have a Dwelling Contractor Certificate of Financial Responsibility by submitting a certificate of insurance to prove that it is a legitimate business and holds the proper insurance and the second is a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier and is issued to an owner or employee of a company. The contractor or employee must take 12 credits hours of WDC approved classes every two years.
The new WDSPS revised requirement of citizenship or legal status now makes it illegal for dwelling contractor businesses owned and operated by undocumented immigrants and their employees from getting certified by the WDSPS to apply for remodeling and building permits in the state.

January 22, 2016

Houston, Texas - On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge David Hittner for the Southern District of Texas sentenced Hortencia Médeles Agüello, 68, aka, Raquel Medeles Garcia, Raquel Medeles Garcia or "Tencha," a U.S. Citizen to life in prison for felony convictions in April 2015 for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, conspiracy to harbor aliens, aiding and abetting to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering in the Houston area.
Agüello operated Las Palmas Cantina II (bar) where she had 17 rooms in the second level of the bar. Within 19 months, she made $1.6M and charged $20 per room that included condoms and $500.00 per hour with undocumented immigrant female minors under 14 forced by pimps into prostitution, according to the federal indictment.
Argüello operated the prostitution ring for 20 years. Twelve female victims who were forced into prostitution testified against Argüello, which other victims testified that they were forced into the sex trafficking ring for the last 13 years.
In addition, 15 real properties and other assets for a value of about $2.5 million will be forfeited to the United States having been found to have been purchased with sex trafficking proceeds. The funds will be used to make restitution to the victims of this horrible crime, according to U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson for the Southern District of Texas.
Magidson in a press release says, that evidence at trial indicated that Tencha made more than $1.6 million in a 19-month period by supplying the upper floor of her cantina for prostitution. The evidence further revealed that many of the prostitutes were either minors or forced to engage in sex acts at the defendant's bar. The jury heard that Tencha had engaged in harboring illegal aliens, many who were forced into prostitution for more than 13 years.
Another defendant named in the indictment, Alfonso Diaz-Juarez, 48, aka, "Poncho," a Mexican national has fled Texas to avoid prosecution and is wanted by tye FBI in connection with the case. A $50,000 dollar reward has been offered for any information leading to Diaz-Juarez arrest and conviction.
Other co-defendants pleaded guilty to helping Tencha keep track of the monies she made, including investing it in properties she purchased in the Houston area.
Abel Médeles, 67, aka, "Chito," Tencha's brother, operated the Las Palmas II parking lot.  It was part of his job to notify his co-conspirators inside the bar of any law enforcement presence he observed in order for his co-conspirators to be able to conceal from law enforcement the illegal activities in the Las Palmas II.  Similarly, on at least one occasion, Odelia Hernández, 47, Tencha's sister, told co-conspirators to lock the doors when she realized law enforcement was coming.
Chito was sentenced to 55 months in prison and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, while Hernández received a sentence of 66 months in prison and must pay a $1,500 fine.
Eduardo Guzmán Gonzales,33, aka, Miguel Rojas or "El Pantera" and Alberto Mendez Flores, 27, aka, "La Ardilla," managed the bar. They paid Tencha $20,000 each week out of the money received from the operation of the Las Palmas II and kept all the monies received in excess of that amount. Both men received sentences of 88 months each in federal prison.
Jose L. Uraga, 36, aka, "Wicho," provided false/fraudulent identifications to employees, to include females working at Las Palmas II and was sentenced to 28 months in prison. Jorge Antonio Teloxa-Barbosa, 31, aka, "Eli," testified at trial to his part in the conspiracy. He also managed the bar with Guzmán and Mendez and paid Tencha $20,000 each week out of the money received from the operation of Las Palmas II, keeping all the monies received in excess of that amount.  He received a sentence of 37 months.
Graciela Médeles Ochoa, 37, Tencha's daughter, assisted Tencha in counting the proceeds obtained from Las Palmas II. She also negotiated cashier's checks for her mother and sister, Delia Diaz, 51.  The money used to obtain the cashier's checks came from the sex trafficking violations occurring at Las Palmas II. Ochoa, who also testified about her mother's unlawful conduct, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.  Diaz received 71 months in prison for money laundering. Another of Tencha's daughters, Diana Médeles García, 50, aka, Diana García Marquez testified that her mother had been running brothels since she was 13-years-old. She received 21 months in prison for aiding and abetting to harbor illegal aliens.
Guadalupe Valdez Lugo, 58, aka, "Lupe" worked as a manager at Las Palmas II, overseeing the female workers as well as the regular employees. She also testified at trial about Tencha's unlawful conduct and received a sentence of 25 months in proson as well as a $5,000 fine.
Another of Tencha's sisters, Lilia Médeles Cerda, 66, aka, "Lilly," received a sentence of 52 months in prison for conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens. Talat Crippin, 27, aka, "Chacho," who was married to one of Tencha's granddaughters pleaded guilty to being a lookout for Tencha's brothel and received 41 months in prison.
David García, 46, Tencha's son, was convicted of aiding and abetting to harbor illegal aliens and will be sentenced in February.

Washington, D.C. - The recent detention and deportation of refugee mothers and their children from Central America has drawn condemnation by 145 Democrats against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and President Barack H. Obama. U.S. Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) released a letter signed by 145 Democrats condemning the recent actions by DHS/Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for their 2016 national operation to detain refugees including mothers and their children from Central America and deporting them.
"The DHS operation generated widespread fear and panic in immigrant communities...85% of Central American families in detention have established threshold eligibility for refugee protection...A final administrative order does not necessarily mean that this mothers and children do not have legitimate claims for refugee protection," according to the 145 Democrats who signed the letter to DHS and Obama.
The Democrats called for an immediate halt to detentions and deportation proceedings of Central American mothers and their children.
ICE detentions were reported in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, N. Carolina, Georgia and other states. Nearly 200 including children were detained for deportation. ICE only confirmed it had detained 121 including children.
On some cases, ICE agents illegally broke into homes and detained undocumented immigrants without warrants and in other cases reported, they made false claims that they were looking for Afro-American suspects to gain entry into homes to search, but detained family members inside suspected of being in the country illegally.
A lack of accountability against ICE agents accused of home invasions and illegally detaining immigrants continue without prosecution by feds.

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, Dental Associates announced that by this Summer, the Dental Associates Clinic on 1135 S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive will relocate to West Milwaukee. The new dental clinic will open at formerly OfficeMax vacant building, 210 S. Miller Park Way, according to Anthony Vastardis, the CEO of Dental Associates.
Dental Associates had tried to remain at the Chavez Drive location, but the building's age and condition prevented any remodeling or growth. Dental Associates was founded in 1973 by the late Dr. John Gonis.
In a released statement, Vastardis said, "We feel our new clinic is in an ideal location since it will allow us to continue to serve our existing patient base while also extending our reach into the West Milwaukee area. Since the Cesar Chavez clinic dates back to our founding by Dr. John Gonis, we weren't looking to move but the age and condition of the building necessitated it. In fact, we first conducted a number of feasibility studies to determine if we could keep the existing location by remodeling or replacing it."
Dental Associates will remodel the vacant OfficeMax building to accommodate a 50-chair clinic, an addition of 12 chairs from its previous location. The West Milwaukee dental center will provide general dentistry services, including crowns, bridges and root canals, along with pediatric, orthodontic and surgical care, including dental implants, according to Vastardis.
Dental Associates has 12 clinics in Wisconsin and by September 2016, two other clinics will open in Waukesha and Howard. Currently, Dental Associates employs nearly 800 employees including 100 doctors and has 576 operatories. Nearly one third of the staff members are Hispanic.
On August 23, 2014, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. first reported that Dental Associates had planned to relocated the Chavez Drive location to Miller Park Way in West Milwaukee.

Mexico, D.F. - Leaked cellphone text conversations between Kate del Castillo, a Spanish language television actress and Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera indicate a romance was brewing, a possible crush, both seemed affectionate to each other and El Chapo vowed to take care of Del Castillo, the Milenio newspaper reported and included a full text transcript of the conversations made available by the Mexican government. The text conversations intercepted by Mexican feds were between El Chapo's lawyer, Andrés Granados, Del Castillo and Guzman Loera.
In one text, Del Castillo told El Chapo, that it was the first time that anyone had told her that she would be taken care off and felt secured. What El Chapo meant about taking care of her wasn't explained during the conversations, but only Del Castillo and El Chapo know what he meant. El Chapo is married with children.
The U.S. government and Mexican federal authorities had both Sean Penn, an actor and Del Castillo under surveillance after learning conversations and negotiations were being conducted to interview and meet El Chapo who wanted a movie made about his life. El Chapo's quest to produce a movie about himself and affectionately getting involved with Del Castillo led to his arrest in Mexico.
Del Castillo says, that she wrote a piece that she trusted El Chapo better than the Mexican corrupt government that later sparked an interest by El Chapo to meet with her. An attorney representing El Chapo contacted Del Castillo.
Penn wanted to interview El Chapo, so he contacted Del Castillo to make arrangements to interview the Sinaloa drug lord.
Apparently, most of the interview that Penn took credit for in the Rolling Stone Magazine was done by multiple communications with El Chapo's representative and not personally. He later did meet with El Chapo along with Del Castillo who travelled to Mexico.
El Chapo later approved Penn's written interview before it was even published. Del Castillo send him a photo copy of what Penn had written. In some texts, both Guzman Loera and Del Castillo would exchange text messages that they loved one another and missed each other too. El Chapo told Kate that his mother was eager to meet her too.
Del Castillo told El Chapo that one of her friends notified her that she was being watched and could be implicated by the feds for having contact with him, so she wanted to avoid getting busted and didn't want to take a risk of Guzman Loera being located and getting arrested.

Del Castillo tweeted that the text conversations between her and El Chapo were manipulated and misinterpreted "to make up items they think will make good stories and that aren't truthful."

Some of the highlights of the text conversations beween Kate del Castillo and El Chapo translated into English and published by Slate dot com. The Mexican government has confirmed to Telemundo that the text messages are between Kate del Castillo and Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera.

The Mexican feds had both Sean Penn and Del Castillo under surveillance when they arrived in Mexico in October and took photos during their meetings with El Chapo's lawyers at a hotel restaurant and members of the Sinaloa Cartel who escorted them to meet with the drug lord.

September 25, 2015

El Chapo and del Castillo are texting for the first time to set up their first encounter. El Chapo says he wishes she could come and stay with him for three days, but there have been heavy rains and there’s no passage.

Chapo: “… we’ll drink tequila and champagne. I’m not a big drinker, but since your presence will be a beautiful thing, I’m very excited to meet you and become good friends. You’re the best in this world. … I’ll take care of everything so you’re comfortable. I will take care of you more than I do my own eyes."
Del Castillo: "I am so moved to hear that you will take care of me. No one has ever taken care of me." Later that day, in messages between El Chapo and his lawyer:

Chapo: “What did she say?”

Lawyer: “Very excited. Surprised. She couldn’t believe it.”

Lawyer: “… she wants to bring along actor Sean Penn…. curious fact, he is the most renowned actor in Hollywood.” An hour later…

Chapo: “What’s the name of that actor again?” Lawyer: “Sean Penn.”

Lawyer: “The guy in that 21 Gramsmovie.”

Chapo: “21 Grams, what year was that?”

September 26, 2015

The lawyer is telling El Chapo that del Castillo got home very late the night before because she was drinking and dancing with friends. El Chapo is having trouble pinning down Sean Penn.

Chapo: “Tell Kate that when she comes we will drink Tequila and dance, just tell her that.”

Chapo: “What’s the name of the director that will accompany the lady?”

Lawyer: “Sean Penn...”

Chapo: “I’m looking up Sean Penn online now…”

Lawyer: “Yeah, that guy used to be an actor I think, now he’s a writer and producer. The lady says he’s more badass than the guy who did The Godfather.”

Later that day:

Del Castillo: “… you have no idea how excited I am…. But independently of our project, I’m anxiously looking forward to looking at you in the eyes, in person, THANK YOU …”

Chapo: “… You are so beautiful, my friend, in every way.”

Del Castillo: “I’ll confess that for the first time I feel protected. You’ll know my story once we have time to chat, but for some reason I feel safe, and that you know who I am, not as an actress or public figure, but as a woman, as a person. I’ll bring my tequila to share it with you, because that was a dream of mine that was due to come true.”

On September 27, del Castillo texts El Chapo on her whereabouts as she travels to Los Angeles. El Chapo calls del Castillo “beautiful,” thanks her for being such a good person, and wishes her safe travels. After an initial meeting with El Chapo in Sinaloa, Mexico on October 2, described in Penn’s Rolling Stone article, Del Castillo and Penn wait for about a week to have a second meeting, but it never happens because of security concerns.

October 10, 2015

Del Castillo is traveling back home from Sinaloa after the aborted second meeting.

Chapo: “Good morning, my friend, I’m sorry, I was sleeping. I wish you safe travels, from the bottom of my heart. I’ll be on the lookout. I love you.”

(There are two ways of saying “I love you” in Spanish: One is Te quiero, for friends, family, and the early stages of romantic relationships. The other is Te amo, as in, “I am in love with you,” reserved for serious romantic relationships. El Chapo used the former.)

Del Castillo: “…and I haven’t slept much since I saw you, I’m so excited about our story... It’s the truth. It’s the only thing I think about…”

Chapo: “I’m more excited about you than about the story, my friend.”

Del Castillo: “hahaha, I’m so happy to hear that.”

Del Castillo: “You made me blush ;)”

October 23, 2015

It’s del Castillo’s birthday.

Chapo: “Good morning. Happy birthday from someone who feels affection for you and loves you: your friend...”

Del Castillo: “What a great birthday gift!!! Thank you! We will hug each other very soon.”

 October 24, 2015

Chapo: “Good afternoon, how’s the best woman in the world, the smartest one, whom I admire greatly? … [Chapo gives Del Castillo a phone number to call in order to get photos of El Chapo and Sean Penn together from him.]”

Del Castillo: “hahaha, thank you!!! Hi, my beautiful friend, I’ll call him … take care, thank you =-*

Chapo: Thank you, my friend, for your well wishes. Your friend loves you. Bye.”

Del Castillo: “I love my friend, bye.” On Oct. 29, El Chapo texts del Castillo again to tell her he wants to see her again, and wants her to meet his mom.

On October 31, and then again on November 5, they exchange texts again about logistics for El Chapo’s biopic, which del Castillo was reportedly meant to produce. El Chapo asks her what her favorite food is in order to offer it to her when she returns. He tells her he “loves and admires” her and “has no way to repay” everything she’s done for him and his sons.

On November 9, del Castillo texts El Chapo letting him know the article is finished and just needs his approval. She tells him she has been told by a friend she was being watched by the feds and didn't want to get busted for texting him, and that things are getting too dangerous, even though, she says, “both me and my friend (Penn) want to see you again and finish the mission you assigned to me.”

The text exchanges end.
