Charter high school students from the St. Agustine Prepatory Academy charter school plan a massive walkout to join other local students from public schools throughout Milwaukee County that have walkout in support of immigrant rights, communities of color and against the illegal acts by the USICE Gestapo agents in Minneapolis and other cities in the country.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, the charter academy high school administration at St. Agustine Prepatory Academy (Aug Pre) high school at the 2600 block of S. 5 Street in the Southside of Milwaukee sent out a warning to all students that they are prohibiting students from engaging in a planned peaceful walkout due to safety concerns.
But, student organizers at Aug Prep sent out a notice to the student population saying it's their right to peacefully walkout in solidarity with immigrant communities. The planned peaceful walkout for students is at 12:05 p.m. on Friday, according to the student action noticed.
On Friday, local immigrant rights organizers are planning a No Work, No School and Don't Spent (buy) in the Milwaukee area. Also, a gathering is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. at Cathedral Square in downtown Milwaukee. The event in Milwaukee coincides with the national shutdown movement for January 30th.
