Man fatally shot by USCBP agents after spraying him with tear gas and brutality assaulting him. There have been two deadly shootings and one non-fatal shooting in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis, Minnesota - On Saturday, Governor Tim Walz (D) confirmed that a man in Minneapolis was fatally shot by USCBP. Several Facebook videos circulating in social media captured the murder by USCBP agents. In one video, agents are seen beating and assaulting Alex Jeffrey Pretti, 37, a male nurse and a legal observer on the ground, when a shot is heard, then agents back off and executed the man by firing multiple shots. Before Pretti was fatally shot, an agent can be seen removing a weapon from Pretti's waistband and then the agent tossed it to the side. Pretti was unarmed and no longer a threat to the agents, but he was shot dead multiple times. Pretti had an open carry handgun on him. (Video link: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/16p3gY6gDi/)
In the second video, two peaceful protesters including Pretti were suddenly attacked by USCBP agents and sprayed with tear gas and then Pretti was fatally shot by USCBP agents. Also, in a photo circulating in social media, Pretti while having an open carry handgun on the side, is seen talking to a USCBP agent, while he is holding a cellphone recording the encounter before he was killed, in contrary to what USDHS is saying. USDHS says, that he approached USCBP agents with a handgun in his hand. The USDHS hasn't released a video to confirm their version of the deadly incident. One thing for sure, the USDHS has a history of being untruthful and lying about incidents involving immigration enforcement agents.
In a premature statement by USDHS says, that Pretti "wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement."
The feds say, that Pretti was armed, and it's not clear, if the Pretti attempted to defend himself against the threat to his life by more than 6 USCBP agents who were beating him and one of the agents was striking him with what seems to be a tear gas metal can.
Feds recovered a handgun from the shooting scene.
The deadly incident happened a W. 26 Street and Nicollet Ave. in Minneapolis.

There have been two deadly shootings in Minneapolis and one non-fatal shooting in Minneapolis in the last three weeks. A 37-year-old White man fatally shot by USCBP agents, the homicide of Renee Nicole Good, 37, murdered on January 7, 2026 by MAGA Gestapo USICE-CBP agent Jonathan E. Ross, 43, and 24-year-old Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, a Venezuelan man shot in the leg as he fled agents.
The MAGA USDHS released the following statement.
At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.
The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.
Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.
About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.
Alex Pretti's family released a statement in response to the Trump administration hateful remarks against Pretti:
“We are heartbroken, but also deeply outraged. Alex was a kind-hearted person who loved his family and friends deeply, as well as the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Sadly, he won't be with us to see the impact he had. I don't use the term 'hero' lightly. However, his last thought and deed was to protect a woman. The disgusting lies this administration has told about our son are reprehensible and hateful. It's evident that Alex was unarmed when he was attacked by Trump's cowardly goons and ICE killers. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand raised above his head, trying to protect the woman who ICE had just pushed to the ground and pepper sprayed. Please spread the truth about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.”
