Ryan Becomes Romney's Vice-presidential Candidate For 2012

Norfolk, Virginia - On Saturday, Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential candidate picked U.S. Representative Paul Ryan, 42, (R-WI) as his vice-presidential candidate for the 2012 election bid to oust President Barack H. Obama (D-IL) in November. Ryan is a seven term congressman from Janesville who represents the First Congressional District in Wisconsin and is also the current Chairman of the House Budget Committee.

Ryan in his acceptance speech stated, "For the last 14 years, I have proudly represented Wisconsin in Congress.  There, I have focused on solving the problems that confront our country, and turning ideas into action; and action into solutions.  

I am committed, in heart and mind, to putting that experience to work in a Romney Administration. This is a crucial moment in the life of our nation; and it is absolutely vital that we select the right man to lead America back to prosperity and greatness...Mitt Romney is this kind of leader. I'm excited for what lies ahead and I'm thrilled to be a part of America's Comeback Team. And together, we will unite America and get this done."

Romney, if elected is expected to repeal ObamaCare and will definitely enforce immigration laws that would lead to massive deportations of millions of undocumented immigrants, including their children (DREAMers) living in the U.S.

Romney has been strongly criticized for not releasing his federal tax records within the last ten years, but has only released his 2010 tax return.

So far, Romney has spent $106 million in campaign ads compared to Obama's $130 million national re-election campaign ad bliss.
