Kenosha, WI - On Friday, Timothy "Tim" Carson, 15, was charged with 2nd-degree intentional homicide for the stabbing of Dezjon Taylor, 15, at the Bradford High School on Tuesday, Taylor died at Children's Hospital on Friday, just after 11:00 a.m. from the injury. According to the criminal complaint, Taylor and Carson both freshmen at Bradford got into an altercation and Carson apparently stabbed Taylor with a knife once in the heart. Taylor immediately notified a teacher that Carson had stabbed him. Carson denied that he had stabbed Taylor and went to his classroom. A onduty Kenosha police officer at the school attempted to stop the bleeding from Taylor's chest. Taylor was transferred to a local hospital for treatment, but died on Friday from his injury to the heart.
Carson was taken into custody on Tuesday and a knife was recovered from a trash can at the school. Carson appeared in court on Friday and was charged as an adult, a cash bond of $250,000 was set. If Carson is convicted, he is facing up to 60 years in prison. Next court appearance will be on May 12 for a preliminary hearing.
