Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, Milwaukee area grassroot leaders gathered at Turner Hall to discussed organizing efforts, immigration movement, health care, reaching out to the community at large to get involved in electing their own public officials to influence change within their neighborhoods.
The grassroots leaders from the Latino and Afro-American community and non-profit organizations are;
• Angela Lang, For Our Future
• Christine Neumann-Ortiz, Voces de la Frontera
• Norma Duckworth, Open Door Community Center of Jesus Christ Inc.
• Luz Sosa, community organizer from Acción Ciudadana de Wisconsin.
