33-year-old Jorge Miguel Prado Charged With Multiple Counts Of Road Rage Shootings In Milwaukee's Southside

One of the victims, Identified by TMJ 4 News as Rodolfo Franco was shot in the face causing damage to his jaw and tooth loss.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The Milwaukee County Circuit Court records show that Jorge Miguel Prado, 33, was charged on July 18th with 3 felony counts for 1st-degree reckless injury with use of a dangerous weapon; 1 felony count for 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon, and 1 felony count for possess a firearm - convicted of out-of-state felony. A $25,000 cash bail was set for Prado.

If convicted, Prado is facing up to 25 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines for 1st-degree reckless injury, or both for each count; and 12.5 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines, or both for 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, and up to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, or both for possess a firearm by a felon. 

In addition for modifiers in each felony count of 1st-degree reckless injury and recklessly endangering safety, Prado is facing an additional 5 years in prison for each felony count.

Prado is expected back in court on August 16th, according to court records.

According to the criminal complaint, three male victims ages, 39, 41 and 42 were shot at by Prado at the 200 block of W. Greenfield Ave. on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at around 2:45 a.m., according to police. Several of victims suffered non-fatal injuries.

According to nearby video surveillance footage,  Prado who was the shooter, had just lost control of his vehicle, struck a pole, a sign, while driving on sidewalk, and then ran the stop light before encountering the three victims in second vehicle, which the driver of the vehicle sounded the horn at Prado. Prado in return fired multiple gunshots at the vehicle striking two victims inside, hitting the vehicle and shattering two side windows. The two victims suffered non-fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle then drove the injured victims to the hospital for treatment.

One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the face resulting in a broken jaw and also lost some teeth. The victim survived and had his jaw wired shut and can't return to work for a month, according to a TMJ 4 News report that identified him a Rodolfo Franco, 39.

Shortly after, Prado shot at another vehicle's passenger at S. César E. Chávez Dr. (S. 16th Street), before crashing at N. 18th Street and W. Wisconsin Ave., where he was taken into custody by police.
