Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, Adiar Jesus Bayatpour, 31, a reporter for FOX WITI-TV 6 was charged with one felony count for substantial battery with intent to cause bodily harm in connection with the April 6th incident where he punched Benjamin "Ben" Jordan, a reporter for WTMJ-TV 4 multiple times at the Brewers game over a dispute involving Madelene Anderson, Jordan's girlfriend who works at FOX WITI-TV 6, according to the criminal complaint. Bayatpour punched Jordan at least three times in the face breaking his nose, chipped a tooth and who also suffered orbital bone fractures.
Bayatpour signed a signature bond for $2,500 and remains free on bail. If convicted, Bayatpour is facing up to three years and six months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
Bayatpour is scheduled to appear in court on April 24 for a preliminary hearing.
Apparently, Bayatpour was criticising and ridiculing his college Anderson over a dog photo and Jordan jumped in to defend his girlfriend and was then punched by Bayatpour over the personal dog matter. Bayatpour then fled the scene, but was later located and taken into custody by police.
Bayatpour will remain off the news team on television at FOX WITI-TV 6 pending the outcome of the case.
