Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Citizen Action of Wisconsin (CAW) delivered the first Radio-Active campaign co-op collective check for $5,000 in pledged purchases by its membership to Pete's Fruit Market-Bronzeville in Milwaukee. The CAW honorary check of $5K represents pledges that CAW members actually purchased in gift cards to shop at two Pete's Fruit Markets located at the 2300 block of N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and 1400 S. Union Street in Milwaukee's Soutside.
Kevin Kane from CAW presented the $5K in pledges to Pete's Fruit Market operators for their cooperation and support to advertise with WRRD 1510 Resistance Radio, which airs progressive views and discusses issues affecting the community at large and Wisconsin. The Radio-Active campaign is a way to show that the CAW membership supports those businesses that advertise in WRRD 1510 Resistance Radio.
CAW has more than 900 members and allied supporters in the State of Wisconsin.
