Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, Luis Rivera, a former Nfoque Latino account manager who engaged in a public and social network wage dispute with Nfoque Latino radio host Zonia Lopez announced the dispute has been settled. Rivera posted in his Facebook account a retraction and apologized for his actions, but apparently got his wage dispute resolved. Rivera had said, all he wanted was the $600.00 that was owed to him by Lopez.
Lopez had stated, Rivera was working on commission and didn't owe him anything. The wage dispute centered on the public character's of both Rivera and Lopez, which went viral on Facebook and a mass e-mail mailing to more than 206 people in Mikwaukee's Latino community.
Rivera has since removed all posted comments, including one on Wednesday alleging that Lopez had received funds from a Latino Organization, eventhough Lopez had not filed for a 501-C3 non-profit status. That allegation might have triggered a resolution in the Lopez-Rivera wage dispute?
Rivera when contacted on Wednesdsy would not comment and attempts to contact Lopez failed. Lopez did not returned a call to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA).
One thing for sure, Rivera had said, that he wouldn't retract unless he resolved his wage dispute, apparently he succeeded.
Lopez had filed a police report about Rivera hacking into her Nfoque Latino e-mail account, but Rivera had said, he had access while he managed the Nfoque Latino programing and scheduling of guests among other duties. Rivera told HNNUSA, that a Milwaukee police officer had called him and adviced him to file a civil lawsuit against Lopez and not to bother her.
Since, Rivera was dismissed by Lopez, she changed the password of the e-mail account.
