Chicago, Illinois - Police and Chicago Fire Department rescue emergency workers responded to a CTA Blue Line derailment around 2:50 a.m. after it was reportd that at least 32 passengers had been injured. The eight-car train derailed and hit an escalator.
Four people were reported critically injured and 28 other suffered injuries, but none are life threatening, according to police.
Service has been disrupted between Logan Square and Western, but two stations between Rosemont and Logan Square, Western and Forest Park continue to operate, according to the CTA's website.
Buses are being used to transport passengers between Rosemont and O'Hare. Normal operating routes will resume once the derailment is cleared.
