Mexican public security officials from Michoacán say, the son of one of the Caballeros Templarios leader has been arrested.

Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico - On Wednesday, Luis Alfredo Aguilera Esquivel, 23, the son of the alleged leader Servano Gómez Martínez, aka, La Tuta was taken into custody earlier in week. La Tuta is one of the principle leaders of the Caballeros Templarios Cartel.
Esquivel was arrested along with Cristian Salinas Ruíz, 30, in the municipality for Los Reyes.
Esquivel is the illegitimate biological son of La Tuta, according to Carlos Hugo Castellano Bercerra, the Secretary for Public Security in Michoacán. Esquivel was charged with kidnapping and extortion.
Esquivel was carrying a check for $1M pesos ($76.9K U.S.) and $10K pesos ($760 U.S.) in cash. Both Esquivel and Ruíz had hidnapped a wealthy farm owner and had collected the ransom in the kidnapping. Ruíz was carrying 30 small bags of crystal and 550 grams of the same drug.
