Man facing a charge for sexual assault of a child in the UK

Newark, New Jersey - On Thursday, John William Perring, 40, a British national was deported to the United Kingdom (UK) in connection with a sexual assault of a 5-year-old child in Essex. The Essex police from the UK had requested an extradition order with the U.S. accusing Perring of sexual assault in his home country.
Perring was arrested in December 2011 by special agents with ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) outside his residence in Orange, N.J., and was subsequently turned over to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations for deportation from the country, according to an ICE news release.
