On Tuesday, he attacked Bados-García with a 2X4 board while she went outside her residence to warmed up her car at the 2800 block of S. 13th St. Bados-García was trying to go to work when she was fatally stabbed by her estranged husband. Pilar Hernández, Bados-García's grandmother stated, that she heard a scream at about 7:20 a.m. saying, "Luis, No" and when she looked out the window, she saw Discua-Bados beat her granddaughter with the board. Hernández went outside and warned Discua-Bados that she going to call Milwaukee police. He ran back into the house and then returned with a knife and proceeded to stab Bados-García multiple times. He then fled the scene.
When police arrived, they saw Bados-García exhibiting multiple stab wounds to her back and head. She had about 12 stab wounds. Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, Genevieve Penn pronounced Bados-García dead at 8:21 a.m.
