Police say Syed was struck by gunfire and died at the scene.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Saturday, July 5, around 1:00 a.m., Milwaukee responded to shots fired at the 2700 block of S. 10 Street and located Kristy Syed, 42, suffering from a gunshot injury. Syed was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.
Police continue with their investigation to determine what happened in connection to Syed's death.
A person of interest was found deceased and no other suspects are sought for the Syed homicide, according to police.
