Racine, Wisconsin - On April 1, Carlos M. Chávez, 37, of Racine was taken into custody after downloading at least 3 child pornography videos from the internet to his Google drive, according to the criminal complaint. The Racine County Sheriff's Office received information in November from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Chávez had downloaded 3 videos of child pornography.

Chávez was taken into custody last Tursday by the Racine County Sheriff's Office and has been criminally charged with two felony counts for possession of child pornography.

If convicted, Chávez is facing up to 25 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines, or both for each count.

Chávez is being held on a cash bond of $25,000, but the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a hold on him, since he is undocumented.
