Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office Ignores A Public Outcry To Charge Robert A. Walczykowski Sr., 62, With A Serious Criminal Offense For Assaulting Trevon Burks, 24, Who Has Mental Capacity Of A 5-year-old

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office continues to ignore a public outcry to charge Walczykowski Sr. which a serious criminal offense other then a mere disorderly conduct violation for assaulting a 24-year-old man with the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Robert Allen Walczykowski Sr., 62, of 2143 S. 25 Street was charged on October 27, 2022 with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct for the October 10, 2022 assault of Trevon Burks, 24, who has a mental capacity of a 5-year-old in the Southside of Milwaukee. Walczykowski Sr. was caught on Facebook live video by LivingLife Wright (DeAngelo Wright, a witness) with his hand around Burks neck and holding him against his will and falsely accusing him of taking part in stealing a bicycle with another unidentified individual during a 911 call. During the 911, Walczykowski Sr. is heard giving out his address and is also seen flipping his middle finger at Wright for live recording him on Facebook. The live video went viral and the incident was first reported by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA).

If convicted, Walczykowski Sr. is facing up to 90 days in jail and up to $1,000 in fines. Walczykowski Sr. was set a signature bond of $1,000 and remains free pending the outcome of the case.

Walczykowski Sr. court preliminary hearing is set for virtual Zoom Pre-trial on November 21, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., according to court records.

Burks mother, Black Lives Matter, Black community activist Vaun L. Mayes, the Brown Berets of Wisconsin and Darryl King Rick Farmer II and the Original Black Panthers of Milwaukee having been advocating and pushing for the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office to upgrade Walczykowski's criminal charges for assaulting a victim with the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.

Walczykowski Sr., who is retired was a former security staff member at South Division High School for the Milwaukee Public Schools District. Walczykowski Sr. also allegedly claimed that he was a former police officer, but didn't say from which police department.
