Morales, one of the 8th Annual Puerto Rican Family Festival 2021 organizers announced on Thursday that, if you are under the age of 18 and plan to attend this year's festival without a parent present, don't come because you will be escorted out of the Wilson Park event on Sunday by security.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, Yussef Morales, one of the organizers of the 8th Annual Puerto Rican (PR) Family Festival 2021 at Wilson Park in Milwaukee that is taking place on Sunday, August 1st announced that no unaccompanied minor under the age of 18 without a parent present would be allowed into the one-day festival. He advised any unaccompanied minor planning to attend the festival to stay away because they will be escorted out by security, police or Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies.
Morales emphasize that it's a family festival and invited the public to attend. The one-day annual event was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival was previously held at Humboldt Park in Milwaukee, but this year it will be held at Wilson Park, 1600 block of W. Howard Ave., from 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. and will have an early mass, also have three entertainment stages, a car show, food and merchandise vendors and will have COVID-19 vaccinations available by health workers for those who want to get vaccinated at this year's festival.
In addition, there will be a dance contest, job fair, tostones eating contest (new this year), a domino tournament, education fair and health fair.
The annual PR family festival draws more than 15,000 festivalgoers, according to organizers.
The PR family festival is also sponsored by El Conquistador Newspaper and organized by the Puerto Rican Family Festival of Wisconsin volunteers.
