Waukegan, Illinois - On Tuesday, the Lake County Coroner's Office confirmed that a frozen body found in a drained pool on Monday behind a burned home at the 1300 block of Jackson Street in Waukegan is that of Lucio Cambray, 18, who went missing on December 25. Cambray's family was notified on Tuesday night about the body being identified as Cambray. An autopsy will be performed on Friday to determine the cause of death.
According to police, Cambray was dropped off at a gas station on Christmas Day by a friend. That was the last time anyone saw Cambray alive, according to family members who are seeking justice and any information to explain what happened to Cambray.
On December 4, Alonda Caballero Negron, 18, died at a hospital from smoke inhalation after being trapped in a basement bedroom where she was living illegally, according to police.
Police have not determined, if Cambray's death is connected in any way to Negron's death.
