Milwaukee, WI - Sierra Guyton, 10, died at 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, according to family members. Guyton had suffered a head wound when she was shot in a cross fire on May 21, in a gun fight between two men. Dozens of shots were fired near the school.
Guyton had been taken of life supports on June 25 and succumb to her injuries on early Sunday at Children's Hospital.
Sylvester Akeem Lewis, 18, and Jamey Lamont Jackson, 28, were arrested in connection with Guyton's shooting. Lewis was charged with one felony count for first-degree reckless injury, one felony count for first-degree reckless endangering safety and one felony count for a felon with possession of a weapon. Lewis bail was at at $250,000 cash bond.
Jackson was charged with one felony count for felon in possession of a weapon. Jaskson bail was set at $25,000 cash bond. Both Lewis and Jackson are facing amended charges for the death of Guyton.
