Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, some people got an unexpected surprise and filled their gas tanks with the cheapest gas in town. People stopped at the SK Petro, 2501 S. 13th Street to put gas on their vehicles and managed to filled their tanks for $2.61 per gallon. Word (El Chisme) spread quickly on the social networks in the South side.
It began at 4:00 p.m. and by 11:15 p.m., the gas ststion shut down. Just after midnight, about 17 other vehicles were lined up ready to get their share of cheap and affordable gas, but the SK Petro was closed. The price of gas on the outdoor sign read $3.61 per gallon for regular gas, but the actual price at the gas pumps was $2.61.
Word of the cheapest gas in Mil-town spread quickly through Facebook and by word of mouth. Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) was able to get photo of several receipts from a woman and man who got lucky and filled their gas tanks real cheap.
No sign was posted on the gas station by the management to explain what actually happened. People were still showing up after midnight on Wednesday to try their luck for some cheap gas, but weren't successful.
