Baseball professional Wilson Ramos rescued by Venezuela military two days after being kidnapped by gunmen in Santa Inés.

Caracas, Venezuela - On Friday, a military operation in the Montalban mountainous region in the state of Carabobo resulted in the dramatic rescue of Wilson Ramos, 24, a former Major League Baseball catcher. Three suspects involved in the abduction of Ramos were also taken into custody. He was located about 20 miles from Valencía, according to Tareck El Aissami, Venezuela Minister of Interior and Justice (VMIJ).
Ramos returned to his native country to play with the Aragua Tigers in the Venezuela Baseball League. He was kidnapped by several gunmen last Wednesday in front of his mother's home in Santa Inés, Carabobo while talking to some friends, the VMIJ reported.
