Milwaukee - On Saturday afternoon, several hundred people had a rally by the Milwaukee County Mitchell Domes. The rally was organized by members of Occupying the Hood.
They chanted "reaching the gap between black and brown." They are trying to raise awareness that people living in the community should get involved to make their neighborhoods better places to raise their children, safe neighborhoods, better education, report crime and good paying jobs.
An estimated 30 Milwaukee police and Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies surrounded the rally and stationed accross the street at the 800 block of S. 27th St.
One person at the rally had a "Recall Walker" sign. On November 15, the official recall campaign by Democrats will begin.
