Update: When the Milwaukee Public School District (MPS) administrators were notified of the incident at the Bay View High School in the 2700 block of S. Lenox Street, police were called to the scene hours after a social media video showing a 39-year-old teacher's aide scuffling with a 14-year-old student. The teacher's aide was taken into custody and the student was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries caused in the scuffle. Police say, the case is pending and charges could be filed against the teacher's aide. MPS says, the teacher's aide is facing disciplinary action and could be terminated pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The 14-year-old student as well could face disciplinary action by MPS for kicking the teacher's aide and acting recklessly in the classroom.
Police previously arrested the student involved for an attempted carjacking and had a monitoring device after being involved in an armed robbery.
