Former Rookie L.A. Police Officer Henry Solis Wanted For Murder, $25K Reward Offered

Solis, a former rookie from the Los Angeles Police Department fatally shot 23-year-old victim at least five times and then fled to Mexico with the aid of his father.

Pomona, California - The Federal Bureau of Investigation  (FBI) is offering $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Los Angeles Police Officer Henry Solis, 27, of Pomona for the March 13 homicide of Salome Rodríguez Jr., 23, of Ontario. Solis was still on his probationary period with the Los Angeles Police Department when allegedly shot Rodríguez. Soon after being identified as the primary suspect for the Rodríguez homicide, Solis was terminated as an officer. Solis while off-duty shot Rodríguez twice in the abdomen, twice in his legs and one shot in the neck. Rodríguez died at a local hospital.
According to the criminal complaint, Solis and Rodríguez got into an altercation at a bar and Solis followed Rodríguez outside and shot him multiple times. Solis was assigned to the tactical unit, according to the LAPD.
Police were able to recover video images showing Solis and his father walking across the border from El Paso, Texas into Mexico several hours after he shot Rodríguez. His father Victor Solis was taken into custody for lying to police.
Mexican authorities in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico have been notified that Solis is wanted in the U.S. for the Rodríguez homicide. 
INTERPOL has been notified as well that Solis could be traveling abroad.
