The Dominican-American Hudson County Parade Committee selected Leslie Grace as their Queen for this year's parade.

North Bergen, West New York - On Saturday, Leslie Grace Martinez, 19, announced that she will be the Queen for this year's Dominican-American Hudson County Parade (DAHCP). The DAHCP is celebrating when the Dominican Republic gained its independence and its 7th annual parade on Sunday. This year's parade will also be dedicated to the Marabal sister's who were abducted by the Dominican military of dictator Rafael Trujillo who were visting their husbands in prison. Agents for Trujillo in 1960, kidnapped, tortured and killed the three sisters and then attempted to cover it up as an accident after their vehicle was found over a cliff. Trujillo's dictatorship ended in 1961.
Martinez's stage name is Leslie Grace and is a talented song writer/singer. Leslie Grace who is of Dominican descent and from the Bronx, New York City is considered one of the fastest uprising Bachata singing female artists today. The Leslie Grace interpretation of "Be My Baby" into a bilingual Bachata lyric song has received more than 1.2M views in YouTube. Her remake of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" has been viewed more than 8.6M in YouTube. No doubt, Leslie Grace has become today's hottest female bilingual Bachata artist in the music entertainment stage.
