Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico - On Monday, a photo posted in Valor por Tamaulipas (VxT) Facebook shows what seems to be members of the criminal organization Los Zetas giving out free Three Kings coffee cake (Rosca) and gifts to the poverty stricken population in Tamaulipas. Roscas and gifts were marked with a large "Z" for Zetas.
Numerous Zeta vehicles were seen around the city of Victoria distributing gifts to needy people and children. No incidents were reported on Monday while the Zetas were out delivering gifts. Also, no military, federal, state, ministry or local police were present at distribution sites.
Authorities didn't even attempt to intercept or prevent the Zeta distribution of gifts and roscas to the locals.
In Mexico and many latin american countries, it is a tradition to give and open gifts on Three Kings Day, which was celebrated on Monday.
