35-year-old Man With Ties To Wisconsin Killed In Guadalajara, Mexico By Gunmen

Estrada founder of Envisions clothing had ties to Milwaukee

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico - On Saturday, the Guadalajara Municipal Police reported that Alejandro Guadalupe "Alex" Estrada, 35, was found shot multiple times at a residence undergoing remodeling in the 1200 block of Chapalita Ave. and Capuchinas Street in the neighborhood of Campo de Polo Chapalita. The Jalisco state Attorney General's Office (PGR) confirmed that Estrada was fatally shot at least eight times in the torso.
Estrada and his girlfriend Martha Eugenia González Navarro, 26, and a third person had gone to the residence that was under construction when four or seven gunmen burst into the home and then opened fire after a brief agrument with Estrada. Navarro was reported shot in her left leg and the third male victim received minor injuries. Estrada died at the scene. The male victim told authorities, that the gunmen had come to talk to Estrada about a vehicle and the altercation ended with the fatal shooting, according to the PGR preliminary report.
The PGR investigators recovered between 8 to 17 armor piercing, 5.7MM X 28MM Caliber cartridges at the scene. Authorities said, the suspects fled the scene in several vehicles after the shooting. No one is in custody, but police continue to search for suspects.
Estrada who had ties to Wisconsin was the founder of Envisions clothing in Milwaukee's South Side. He was also known as D.J. Twist. Envisions was founded in 1996.
Funeral services have been rescheduled for Monday, June 20 at St. Patrick's Church, at the 700 block of W. Washington St. in Milwaukee. The wake will be held at 9:00 a.m. and mass at noon following burial after mass, according to Envisions Facebook page.
