Barrio Azteca Gang Leader Confessed He Ordered Killing Of U.S. Consulate Worker For Providing Visas To Rivals

Mexico City, Mexico - On Friday, both the Mexican Attorney General's Office (PGR) and Ramón Pequeño, Spokesman for the Anti-drug Federal Police announced in a press conference the arrest of Jesus Ernesto Chavez Castillo, aka, "El Camello," who confessed to ordering the killing of U.S. Consulate employee in Ciudad Juárez on March 13. Chavez an alleged leader of the Barrio Azteca gang who works with La Línea gang and the Juárez Cartel as contract killers told police that Lesley Enriquez, the U.S. Consulate worker killed had been working with a rival gang and was providing them with Visas to enter the U.S.
Chavez said, members of La Línea had received orders from the Juárez Cartel to contract Los Azteca's for the hit. Two vehicles were targeted because they were similar and Chavez's hitmen didn't know which one was Enriquez travelling in, according to Chavez. Also killed in March were, Enriquez's husband Arthur H. Redelhs and Jorge Alberto Salcido who was married to a Mexican employee at the consulate.
U.S. authorties say they investigated to see, if Enriquez was involved or connected with a drug cartel, but found no connection.
Enriquez worked in the service department to help U.S. Citizens with information about services available at the Consulate and wasn't authorized to provide Visas.
Chavez is also accused of participating in the January 31, Ciudad Juárez student massacre in a birthday party where 13 youths were murdered and dozens injured by Los Azteca and La Línea gang members in the Villas de Salvácar neighborhood.  
On March 31, Mexican federal authorities arrested 5 Barrio Azteca gang members in connection with Enriquez's homicide, they were identified as Enrique Guajardo López, aka, “El Kike,” Raúl Gerardo Calderón Loera, aka, "El Flako," Juan Carlos Duron Moreno, aka, “El Travieso,” Eduardo Morales Herrera, aka, “El Lalo" and Jesús Manuel Herrera Torres, aka, “El Cala.” 
On March 27, Ricardo Valles, another member of the Barrio Azteca gang confessed, the leadership of the Juárez Cartel had ordered the U.S. Consulate killings.
