Milwaukee, WI - Several photos posted of a group of Latino Republicans at the Trump MAGA rally in Green Bay on social media have gone viral and has caused a backlash from the Latino community criticizing them for supporting Trump's anti-immigrant and racist policies. Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has reached out to Mario Herrera, the Outreach Director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin to get their stand on whether the Latino Republicans stand and support Trump's racist and hate targeted at the Latino and immigrant communities including people of color in the U.S. and Wisconsin. Most of Trump's MAGA supporters can't come into grips that Trump is a known racist and advocates hate at MAGA rallies, even when Trump has been documented as a racist in many occasions and his former lawyer,  Cohen has even testified in Congress that Trump has committed elicit crimes, is a liar and a racist.
Herrera and the Latino Republicans have not addressed the issue whether they are against the Trump and GOP's racist and hate ranting propaganda and whether they actually support driving permits for the undocumented drivers in Wisconsin.
So far, Herrera and the Latino Republicans are silent on the issues affecting the Latino community, but yet he continues his attempt to recruit Latinos to support the GOP and Trump. One thing for sure, Herrera and other Latino Republicans in Wisconsin have reacted and gotten into a battle of words with those who have called them out as "Perdidos" and "Malinches" including that they are an embarrassment to the entire Latino community for supporting Trump, who is a pathological liar and has actually lied and engaged in mistruths more than 10,111 times, since being at the White House.
One thing to clarify, there's nothing to be ashame off being a Republican today, but being a Latino Republican and staying silent on the racist, hate and anti-immigrant propaganda by Trump is something to be ashame off to stand with him. Not all Republicans support Trump's racist remarks targeted at the Latino and immigrant communities, but Latino Republicans to stay silent on the issue indicates they are complicit to Trump's anti-immigrant and racist policies.
Apparently, some of the Latino Republicans met over the weekend and discussed the outing of their group at the MAGA rally in Green Bay and the backlash from the entire Latino community against them for not standing and supporting the Latino and the immigrant communities fighting for social justice, immigration reform, equality and driving permits for undocumented drivers in Wisconsin for safe roads.
The Latino Republican photos from the Trump MAGA rally were shared by HNNUSA, Miwisconsin Latinos and El Conquistador Newspaper, which also published an article claiming that the Latino Republicans support Trump's anti-immigrant and racist policies. Miwisconsin Latinos even posted their rally photo on their Facebook account and asked Facebook followers, if anyone know them.
It didn't take long for the Latino Republicans to come out and identified themselves as loyal Trump supporters on FB postings and comments, but they have certainly failed to state whether they support Trump's racist, hate and anti-immigrant policies and whether they also support driving permits for undocumented drivers in Wisconsin to create safe roads.
Even a FB user in another FB page posted a comment saying, "Being a Latino Republican is like being a Black Nazi."
One thing for sure in Wisconsin, the Latino vote ousted Governor Scott Walker (R) who became an anti-immigrant and the Latino vote in the last election was instrumental in electing Governor Tony Evers (D) who is pro-immigrant and supports driving permits for undocumented drivers in the state.
It seems Herrera as the out reach director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin failed Walker and the GOP to deliver the Latino vote. Well, it figures, today's GOP nationally and in Wisconsin has nothing to offer to the Latino community to attract the electoral support, since they stand with Trump and his anti-immigrant and racist policies today.
When contacted by HNNUSA about the current issue with the Latino Republicans, Robert Miranda speaking as a Democratic Socialist stated, "it's one thing to find common ground and work with Republicans to achieve stability in the lives of families. However, these Latinos are demonstrating quite the opposite. They're supporting a grifter and liar president who has called KKK AND NAZIs "good people" and demonstrated no love for the Latino community."
In July 2018, Darryl Morin, former Midwest Vice President for National LULAC and a well respected Republican and pro-immigration advocate made an announcement why he was no longer a Republican. Morin stated on his FB account, "A Corruption of Principle, An Absence of Character Why I am no longer a Republican...Sadly, the party has turned in the direction of white nationalism for far too many, accelerating the corruption of principle to the point that victory by any means is now the only goal and at the price of the party’s character and commitment to our country...Today party leadership and far too many Republican elected officials work tirelessly to defend the clearly racist remarks uttered by the President.  They defended him when he encouraged violence between Americans during the primary, when he said no member of his campaign ever spoke with representatives of the Russian government, they defended him when he said there was no Russian interference in our elections, they defend him now has he refers to immigrants and asylum seekers as vermin, animals, gang members and murderers, and they defend him still as this government separates young children, even infants from their families as part of this President’s Zero-Tolerance policy...Sadly, the Republican Party now carries the Trump brand, a brand that has increased the national debt, is working to destabilize NATO, is creating trade wars with all our major trading partners, is empowering white supremacist groups, attacks not defends human dignity of certain populations and is involved in an all-out attack on Hispanic-American citizens and non-citizens alike...for these reasons that today, I renounce my membership in the Republican Party and change my party affiliation to Independent."
When contacted by HNNUSA on Sunday, former Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Manuel "Manny" Perez, who is also a well respected Republican and was appointed by former Governor Walker (R) stated, "The U.S. has received the contributions of individuals from many cultures, races, and social backgrounds. For any politician to use race or the like to advance a political agenda should be repudiated by all citizens and parties...instead we should focus on the true root causes of problems and together put our minds to resolve them using multidisciplinary approaches!...as indicated many times before, the true solution to the illegal immigration issue is to both change U.S. policy to realistically reduce poverty in Latin America and increase security...demand from Latin countries economic development and equal opportunity as a condition to receive U.S. aid...this requires a U.S. secretary of labor who understands the issues and had the credibility to advance a regional and U.S. labor and economic development agenda...Trump does not have that ...The current U.S. secretary of labor is an establishment Republican...I would support temporary driver licenses for undocumented workers only as part of a comprehensive federal immigration legislation that addresses the root causes of Ilegal immigration. The root cause is poverty, corruption, and inequality in Latin Nations and the us has not been effective in advancing anti poverty and anti corruption practices in Latin America yet it gives Latin Nations significant amount of usaid aimed at so called security without demanding from Latin governments recipients to reduce poverty and inequality."
Just in case the Latino Republicans, especially those of Mexican descent don't know about the importance of the Cinco de Mayo battle in 1862, which was instrumental for the U.S. to feat the Confederacy 14 months later.
In brief, did you know, if the Battle in Puebla, Mexico didn't happened, the French would have made their way to the U.S. and help the South (Confederates) during the Civil War and they might have won the war with their help. We would probably have slavery today.
Not to many people know including Americans, but it was the Mexican peasants and army that defeated the French army. The Mexicans had won a great victory that kept Napoleon III and French army from supplying the confederate rebels with weapons and French soldiers for another year, allowing the United States to build the greatest army the world had ever seen.
This grand army smashed the Confederates at Gettysburg just 14 months after the Battle of Puebla, essentially ending the Civil War and united the nation. It might be a historical stretch to credit the survival of the United States to those brave 4,000 Mexicans who faced an army twice as large in 1862.
President Abraham Lincoln help supply Mexican President Benito Juarez and his military including fighting peasants with weapons without Congress approval in those days. President Lincoln gratefully acknowledged President Juarez for his success in stopping the French in Puebla.

Update: On Sunday evening, Mario Herrera after reading the latest HNNUSA article, he posted on the HNNUSA FB page, a personal comment indicating, that Trump's policies are not racist, according to him.
