Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, Felix Questell, an outspoken constituent from the Milwaukee County Supervisor 12th District posted a Facebook (FB) video allegedly claiming that County Supervisor Peggy West had called police and accused him of posting a threat on a social network that Questell threatened to shoot a pedophile (a registered sex offender). Questell in the video confirmed that a police officer had called him that West had complained and the officer was just checking and letting him know what West had told police.
Questell says in the posted video, that West had lied and he will get a police report on Monday about what West had told police concerning his alleged threat to shoot a sex offender.
Apparently, Questell had posted multiple posts on Facebook that West allegedly had a relationship with Thomas James Schroder, 44, a registered sex offender who was released on February 27 from the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility. Schroder was convicted on January 15, 2008 for 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child. The Milwaukee Police Department website on registered sex offenders listed Schroder as homeless, but the Wisconsin Department of Corrections sex offender registry has him as compliant.
Questell posted on his FB account several photos of West and Schroder and raised some allegations about where Schroder lived in the 12th County Supervisor District. He also called on Milwaukee Alderman José G. Pérez and State Representative JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milw.) to hold a community meeting concerning the registered sex offender. Both Alderman Pérez and Zamarripa have endorsed West for re-election.
West on February 15 testified against Questell on behalf of Robert Miranda who had filed a civil lawsuit for slander (intentional tort). Miranda in a filed civil lawsuit case claimed that Questell has made false allegations in social media and had continued to do so for over a year. The judge dismissed the case and found that Questell did not slander Miranda.
Questell now claims that West had lied about him in court as a witness for Miranda and has now lied to police about him threatening to shoot a pedophile (referring to Schroder).
West did not provide a copy as proof of the FB post that she claimed Questell had posted on the social network to police that he in fact threatened to shoot Schroder.
