About 100 Bally Clubs will remain under Bally's operation.

Irvin, CA - On Wednesday, 171 Bally Total Fitness Clubs were finally aquired by Fitness International, LLC, an affiliate of L.A. International, LLC. The closing allows Fitness International to aquire most of the assets from Bally Total Fitness, which is owned by Bally Total Fitness Holding Corporation. Fitness International paid a total of $153 million to buy the Bally's Clubs.
According to a prior news release by Fitness International, the Chicago-Illinois Bally Total Fitness and its subsidiaries currently owns and operates 171 fitness centers across the U.S. The aquisition relates to all of the Bally locations in the states of Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington, the District of Columbia, all of the locations in the greater Los Angeles area and certain locations in, New Jersey (Deptford, East Brunswick, Echelon, Maple Shade and Union City), New York (Copiague, Lake Grove and Levittown), Texas (Meadow Creek and Red Bird) and Virginia (Falls Church, Landmark, Pentagon Square, and Prince William Crossing). The remaining 100 Bally owned clubs will continue to be operated by Bally under the Bally name.
