Milwaukee, WI (HNNUSA)- Civil War reenactment and crafts at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center grounds on S. 42 St. and W. National Ave. thru Saturday, June 6-7 Sunday. The yearly event "Reclaiming Our Heritage 2010" is a multi-era U.S. history encampment and a veteran tribute event, including a "Welcome Home Salute To Vietnam Veterans."
The two day event was sponsored by the Friends of Reclaiming Our Heritage, Inc.
"This is the part the Civil War history books don't tell you about, before the Civil War only the rich or diplomats were being embalm. It would cost $150 for a body to get embalm, preserving the body lasted decades," the Embalming Surgeon said.
