Tony Tran Charged With Sexually Assaulting Two Women At Knife Point

27-year-old suspect used knife in sexual assaults.

Milwaukee, WI - Sexual assault suspect Tony Tran, 27, will appear in court on September 21 to face multiple felony charges for 1st-degree sexual assault with use of a dangerous weapon and two felony counts for armed robbery with use of force for the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman near the 800 block of W. Greenfield Ave. and a 28-year-old women at the 1000 block of S. 19 Street in late August, according to court recourts. Tran's bail was sent $100,000 and if convicted on all counts is facing up to 200 years (60 years each count for 1st-degree sexual assault and 40 years each count for armed robbery including $100K in fines for each count) in prison and $200K in fines.

The two victims were sexually assaulted at knife point and robbed. The 23-year-old woman was sliced with a knife three times in the suspect's vehicle, but managed to escape. 

Police took Tran into custody on August 27 after the 28-year-old victim called police that she was sexually assaulted and her purse was stolen in an alley on S. 19 St. The victim gave a good description of Tran's vehicle and police were able to locate Tran's vehicle less than an hour later at the 1500 block of S. 15 Street. 

While police were investigating Tran's sexual assault, the 23-year-old woman spotted police and she told them that Tran had assaulted and robbed her too.

Alderman Donovan Claims MPD Didn't Invite Him To Press Conference At His District

Alderman Donovan criticized the Milwaukee Police Department and its leadership for not inviting him to a press conference on his own Aldermanic 8th District.

Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, Alderman Bob Donovan from the 8th Aldermanic District criticized the Milwaukee Police Department's leadership including Police Chief Edward Flynn for his exclusion from a press conference in his own district. 2nd District Milwaukee Police Station Captain Alfonso Morales, Alderman José G. Pérez from the 12th Aldermanic District along with local Milwaukee attorney Michael Hupy held a press conference in the 8th Aldermanic District to announce a $25,000 dollar reward offered by Hupy for information leading to arrest and conviction of a suspect or suspects involved in the August 9 mass shooting that injured Alfredo Bautista, 10. More than 40 gunshots were fired around 2:15 a.m. and Bautista was wounded once inside his home at the 2000 block of W. Lapham St. Police reported that Bautista's home might not have been the target in August.

Ald. Donovan became disappointed that he was not included in the conference to announce a $25K reward being offered and posted on his Facebook account for Milwaukee Mayor, "I am the Milwaukee alderman who is on the front line of the war against crime. I held a press conference in this street just a day after the August shooting. Yet, the Milwaukee Police Department's leadership didn't feel it was necessary to invite me to today's press conference. That says a lot about the department's leadership."

The 2nd District Milwaukee Police Station in the Southside located at the 300 block of W. Lincoln Ave. is having an Open House fromm noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, was Ald. Donovan invited too? Donovan didn't say he was invited to the Open House.

City of Milwaukee To License And Regulate Towing From Private Lots

City towing ordinance would prevent over charging and would require a license for towing companies to tow vehicles from private lots in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Milwaukee Common Council Licensing Committee (MCCLC) voted to begin licensing and regulating companies towing vehicles from private lots. People could pay a minimum of $50 to get their vehicles released to towing truck drivers on the spot before their vehicles can get towed from the lot. Also, the MCCLC decided to use a single license for junk dealers, scrape haulers and others.

The new City towing licensing regulation ordinance goes before the full Common Council for a vote on September 22, 2015.
Scrupulous towing companies targeted vehicles in private lots and towed them without police involvement and charged victims from $100 to 300 on the spot to release vehicles or more than $400 to get it release from a towing lot pound.
Wisconsin state law allowed towing companies to tow vehicles without a license and set a limit in charging for towing, but some companies over charged victims.

In March, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. reported that hundreds of Latinos in a weekly basis were subject to excessive towing costs for parking at a private lot located at 1247 S. César E. Chávez Drive. The private towing company ABYSS Towing used a look out spotter parked on the street from Monday to Saturday and kept an eye on who parks in the lot and if that person goes somewhere else to shop. Once the spotter can confirm the person is not doing business with the businesses that allow parking for their customers, then a tow truck is alerted and it comes to tow the vehicle within minutes.
Sometimes a flatbed tow truck is used, in that case, they tow one vehicle at a time and then park it a couple of blocks away. Once three vehicles are secured for towing, they are all towed at the same time.
If a victim can catch the tow truck driver at the scene and doesn't want the vehicle towed, the victim has to pay $200 in cash and some cases they wouldn't even get a receipt from a tow truck driver. If the tow truck gets to take the vehicle to a private tow lot, the victim will most likely have to pay between $150, $180, $250 and up to $350, not including storage costs.

In a regular day of towing, ABYSS Towing could clear more than $6,000 for towing at least 20 vehicles at $300 to $350 each. 

A State law (2013 WI ACT 76) took effect October 2014 allowing anyone to tow a vehicle without being bonded or licensed creating a scamming operation for profits. Under the 2014 state towing law, private towing companies are required to charge a maximum of $105 per regular tow and $20 per day for storage.

It's cheaper to get towed by the City from the street, including storage compared to ABYSS Towing, a private contractor getting towed from a private property. Checkout what the City of Milwaukee charges for towing, according to their Web site.

N1TV News Camerawoman Petra Laszlo Fired For Kicking And Tripping Syrian Refugees

Hungarian news camerawoman caught on video by other reporters tripping and kicking Syrian refugees as they flee from a camp.

Roszke, Hungary - The N1TV news station in Hungary confirmed that Petra Laszlo, a camerawoman for the TV station has been fired after video surfaced showing her tripping a father and his child on his arm and kicking several Syrian refugees including a female teen fleeing a camp near the Syrian border.
The refugees have fled Syria after ISIS terrorists have been gaining ground and have been killing thousands of defenseless children, men and women. ISIS vowed to kill all Christians and non-Muslim Europeans.

N1TV's Editor in Chief, Kisberk Szabolcs in a press release stated, that they did not tolerate the "unacceptable behavior" shown by Laszlo and was terminated on Tuesday after video surface from other news reporters/cameramen.
Several political groups and a human rights group are seeking charges against Laszlo for assaulting refugees. Laszlo has gone into hiding since, her contract was terminated at N1TV.

One of the videos circulating and going viral was posted on Twitter by Stephan Richter, a German reporter who condemned Laszlo's abuse of Syrian refugees.

Update: Petra Laszlo released a statement to a Hungarian local newspaper saying, that she panic and snapped, was just defending herself and thought she going to be attacked by the refugees, she was sorry and didn't deserve negative comments and death threats she has gotten after the videos surfaced of her tripping a father with his child in his arms and kicking other refugees including a young girl.

Full Throttle Saloon In Sturgis Destroyed By Fire

Multiple fire departments battle a blaze that destroyed the popular biker Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis.

Sturgis, South Dakota - On early Tuesday, the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis was destroyed by fire just after midnight, the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department reported. Multiple fire departments from Piedmont, Vale, Whitewood, Sturgis and Fort Meade battle to contain the blaze.

No one was reported hurt, but the blaze spread to nearby buildings as well. The lack of fire hydrants in the property made it difficult to get water supplies to fight the blaze. Water had to be brought in from neighboring areas. 

The popular biker Full Throttle Saloon is owned by Michael Ballard and is featured in a cable TV show about bikers.

The cause of the fire in under investigation.

Go Fund Me Account Created For Sery Jones After Motorcycle Accident In Wisconsin

Jones was struck by vehicle while riding his motorcycle in Wisconsin, but was airlifted by Fight for Life to St. Paul over the Labor Day weekend.

St. Paul, MN - On Monday, a Gofundme account was created to seek donations for Sery Jones, aka, "DaGodFather," who is a Milwaukee motorcycle riding enthusiast and a member of the Motopsychoz M.C. Jones was struck by a vehicle on Friday near Highway 29 and I-94 near Elk Mound, Wisconsin. Jones was traveling from Milwaukee to Minnesota when he was struck by the vehicle about 71.1 miles from St. Paul and due to his serious injuries, he was airlifted from the scene by Flight-for-Life to a local hospital in St. Paul. 

He has gone through surgery and is expected to have another one before being moved to Milwaukee. Jones will be transferred to a Milwaukee hospital by the weekend, according to the Gofundme account set-up by Tamara Sánchez. Sánchez confirmed that Jones had lost a leg due to the injuries sustained in the motorcycle/vehicle accident.

Jones was previously involved in a motorcycle accident in 2004 when a woman driver in a hit-and-run struck his motorcycle from behind.

Several Motorcycle Accidents Reported, One Fatal Over The Weekend

An affiliate or supporter of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club crashed in the northwest side of the City and a second unreleated motorcycle accident involved a 26-year-old man who died on early Friday.

Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, Milwaukee police responded to a motorcycle accident around 9:00 p.m. at W. Fond du Lac Ave. and W. Mill Road where a motorcycle rider lost control and crashed into the crub. According to police,  the motorcycle rider driving a Black Harley-Davidson was wearing an Outlaws Milwaukee Motorcycle Club t-shirt that read "Support your local Outlaws."
The biker suffered a broken arm, elbow and broke one of his legs in two places, skull fractures and road rash in his body. The biker is expected to survive and will have several more surgeries, according to family members.

One Facebook comment described the injuries of the caucasian biker as, "Man ...He was f__ked up...His leg was mangled..Lumps all over his head and bones sticking out of his arms.."

"The driver of the motorcycle hit the curb and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital," stated Milwaukee Police Sergeant Timothy Gauerke from the Milwaukee Police Department Chief of Police Office. He was identified as Anthony Bellanti Jr.
Bellanti was riding in the rear of a dozen riding pack of bikers, according to witnesses at the scene. The riding pack of riders kept on going and didn't notice the biker that crashed. Police continue to investigate the accident.

On Friday, police reported that a 26-year-old man riding a 1996 Suzuki around 2:25 a.m. apparently ran a traffic stop light and struck a 2004 Cadillac Escalate. The biker identified as Quintell "Q" Mo Bounce Noblin was heading southbound on N. 60th St. and struck the Escalate, which was heading eastbound on W. Capitol Drive.

Q Mo Bounce Noblin was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The 46-year-old woman driving the Escalate was not injured, according to police.

Q Mo Bounce Noblin rode with the Mo Bounce Motorcycle Sports Club, at least 5 of its members including the club president have lost their lives in tragic accidents in the last two years.

On Thursday, the annual Milwaukee Bike Rally 2015 began and ends on Monday. The motorcycle bike rally draws thousands of bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world to the City for the four day festivities at local participating Harley-Davidson dealerships and at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

On Friday, Sery "DaGodFather" Jones was struck by a vehicle on Highway 29 and 1-94 near Elk Mound, Wisconsin. He was transported by Fight for Life to a local hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He lost part of his left leg and is recovering.
In an unrelated accident, Jeremiah Armstrong was reported killed in a motorcycle accident on N. 35 Street and W. Capitol  on Tuesday.
