Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned from a credible source that multiple Deans and Provost from the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) had been unexpectedly terminated on Monday by MATC President Anthony Cruz and were walked out of the college by security escort. Two former MATC Deans and a Provost who were upruptly terminated were identified as Dr. Phillip King, Ed.D., the Executive Vice-President and Provost (reported directly to MATC President Cruz); Dr. Josephine Gomez, Ph.D., the Dean of Community Education (had managed the Walker's Square MATC Education Center facility) and Dr. Michael J. Sitte, Ph.D., the Dean of the Creative Arts.

Dr. Gomez was the last highest Latina ranking administrator at MATC.

MATC has not officially released a press release confirming the recent terminations involving two Deans and a Provost.

Additional terminations of targeted personnel are expected to be forced out in what many have claimed to be a major employee related alleged turmoil that has erupted under President Cruz.

Also, HNNUSA has learned recently that Carlos Aranda, a Professional License Counselor at MATC has been targeted as well by Dr. Cruz's administration for his social media postings relating to what has been transpiring at the technical college under the failing Dr. Cruz administration. Aranda was given a final warning related to his social media postings, he is appealing their final warning write-up decision.

Dr. Cruz came under fire in August 2025 after deciding to eliminate the Multicultural Student Services after more than 50 years of providing services to Latino, Asian, Native American and African-American students. Four of its student service specialists were also terminated, but they were able to file a discrimination complaint against MATC with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Equal Rights Division.
