Three Del Rio Women, Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, And Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, Charged With Murder After Carolina Peña, 32, Died From Multiple Stab Wounds In Texas

Three women from Del Rio in Texas have been charged with homicide after 32-year-old female victim died from stab wounds.

Del Rio, Texas - The Del Rio Police Department arrested and criminally charged three women with murder, they were identified as Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, and Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, in connection with the brutal stabbing death of Carolina Peña, 32, in Texas.

If convicted, the three suspects are facing up to life in prison.

According to Del Rio Police Department, officers were called Val Verde Regional Medical Center around 2:10 p.m. on June 25, 2026 after Peña arrived at the medical center seeking treatment for multiple stab wounds. Peña was transported to a San Antonio medical facility due to her severe life-threatening injuries. Peña succumbed to her injuries at the medical facility.

Del Rio police arrested the three female suspects and learned that Peña was stabbed by the women at the 1000 block of E. 10 Street.

Police were able to review video surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses, which led to the identification of the suspects. Police took them into custody and were booked at the GEO Correctional Facility.
