18-year-old Man And Female Shot By Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy Near Bradford Beach Area

An 18-year-old man was shot while being pursued and a female passenger was shot in the chest by gunfire from a Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy near Bradford Beach in the lakefront.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, Terry Williams, 18, was shot in the head while he was being pursued in a vehicle along Lincoln Memorial Drive and a female passenger, Paula McEwen was also shot in the chest by Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy Michael Truax, 32, by the Northpoint Custard Stand near Bradford Beach. Both people injured by Deputy Truax''s gunfire are Afro-American. 

Sheriff Deputy Truax is a rookie and has less than a year on the job fired upon the vehicle window striking the driver, according to witnesses. A another male passenger was taken onto custody.

Sheriff deputies arrived at the shooting scene exhibiting assault rifles and kept the crowds away from the incident.

Apparently, a Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy was pursuing the vehicle for a traffic violation when it went over the medium while being shot at by Deputy Truax. Williams who was struck by gunfire was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. The female passenger was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
Sheriff David Clarke Jr. during a press conference stated that Deputy Truax used deadly force on a vehicle being pursued by another deputy for a traffic violation and that a 9mm handgun was recovered at the scene. Deputy Truax has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Williams remains in life supports, according to Sheriff Clarke Jr.

Multiple aftermath video recordings by people who witnessed the shooting at the scene uploaded them on Facebook.
Jasmine Jenkins video recorded the aftermath of the shooting and posted the video on her Facebook account and stated, "... officer came pass my passenger door yelling "he's got a gun" to justify their reason for shooting?..."
The shooting investigation is ongoing and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.
